My experience with this firm continues to cause distress 7 months after the debacle. Know This! These people are poorly organized and do not leave you feeling anything but angry and cheated. Nearly 3 months prior to sale we set a date. References were called but I believe they were family or friends. I was moving out of state so could not be there to oversee the sale. Two weeks prior to the agreed upon date , I was informed the date was moved forward one week . When I showed email proof, this firm changed back, but didn't reschedule another commitment so my sale was double booked. As a result I was told they wouldn't have enough time to properly prepare. ( and they didn't property prepare, it was total chaos.) It got worse. As promised, they advertised the sale for Friday and Saturday . On Friday morning, in another state, I receive a call from my security service. This firm was not at my home, but the public was. They were walking through my house and had tripped my alarm. J&k said they were at the other sale and "made a mistake" advertising the sale on a day they did not intend to be there, and "made a mistake" leaving my door unlocked. So the poorly prepped sale went on a day after strangers walked through, but J&K "reassured" me "nothing was missing." Know this: J&K will not provide you with a list of items sold, nor how much items were sold for. they will tell you that at the end of the sale they let buyers walk because "they were trying to and dime me." And lastly they will bring in another firm to charge you hundreds of dollars to clean out what didn't sell so that firm can resell it for their own benefit. Im not sure if there was conflict of interest. In summary, my advice, find an estate sales firm that knows estates.

They are not temperature controlled which was fine and they're all on the same level, pull up your car and get things out. We came in on January 5 and plan on getting things out by February 5 so we are charged for the month which is nice. No contracts or mandatory stay unlike others. It's also gated and each person gets their own code to enter. We think this is the best storage unit (location and price was) in the Schenectady/Rotterdam region.

I went to Sondra's 9 years ago because I always heard them advertising on ESPN Radio. Anthony spent hours with me teaching me all about Diamonds and Rings. He ordered many diamonds and helped me pick just the right one. He explained the reasons behind each metal and why I would want to choose a platinum setting for our Tiffany style engagement ring. This was crucial as the ring went 8 years before it experienced any damage. I was in my early 20s and Sondra's let me make weekly payments for many many months without interest or fees until the ring was paid off and I was ready to propose. We moved out of state and were still planning our wedding. We corresponded by email with Anthony about the wedding bands knowing we would only see them 2 days before the wedding and they had to be perfect as there would be no time to change them out. They were perfect. This weekend we went back to Sondra's to have the aforementioned damage repaired and I haven't seen Anthony in probably 5 years and he remembered me and remembered where I worked 5 years ago. Amazing. The repairs were fantastic and super affordable. I am forever in debt to Anthony and Sondra's for teaching me about jewelery and changing my life. Thank you!

One of the oldest Iranian rugs, which was used in our foyer, came back, completely unusable with huge ripples in it that would not lay flat. Upon asking Mr. Jafri to take it back and stretch it and make it usable again, it took another six months, and still was not flat. I told him that we would be putting a claim in his insurance for the value of the rug and he claimed that this time he would make it better After another five months, it came back. It was better, but it's still not flat. He claimed he had to send it somewhere overseas to get it stretched . the rug is now a tripping hazard. Jafri offered no refund or compensation even after we spent $25k with him. I do not recommend this company

Words can not describe how thrilled I am to have found these experts on cleaning rugs. I had three…read moreold, filthy braided and an old old {like at lest 75 years old} fine but filthy wool Oriental rug that I had to make the decision to either pitch, or find a miracle worker. Seeing that float tanks were the way to clean these rugs, I finally found Jafri Rugs in Albany, about two hours away. The picked up my rugs, did their magic, and the suggested repairs of new side binding and fringe {the fringe on my 75 year old Oriental was like a bad comb-over, with some of the weaving coming apart} were worth it, the Oriental is luxurious and soft and gorgeous. I am seeing colors in it I never saw before. After getting them back and walking on them with bare feet - the wool braided rugs are SO soft and my feet love them. Even the dog has ceased to jump on the couch and now lies on the braided rug. Not scratchy and dried like how they were when I received them. I swear each rug was ten pounds lighter. I am indebted forever for these experts saving my grandmother's and mother's hand braided and cherished rugs. Even though I was far away, they picked them up and dropped them off. I did have to wait a bit, but realistically I had sat on these things for years trying to find a solution, so why get cranky asking someone for a two week turnaround? Besides, I had already tried getting one of the rungs cleaned by an "antique rug cleaners" expert and I still had dirty heavy scratchy rugs. It was the holidays and they wanted to make the trip back when they had a few more clients up my way. This made sense, and it was worth the wait. Don't hesitate calling them, forget the cost, fall in love with your treasured family rugs and consider the cost as you are working with rug artisans. Pay their worth and stop thinking in Walmart Rug mode. Recycle, and Re-use. Stop throwing good rugs away. An aside, Humza and the staff who picked up and delivered the rugs are pros at making you feel like you are their favorite customer, genuinely. Customer Service was beyond expectations wonderful.
