There are plaques with what is around the circle area and you can either scan the QR code to get that information or borrow one of their books to learn about it. I think that's pretty cool. I think there is massive room for improvement and making things just look nicer. I think those in charge could learn a lot from how the Great Council State Park was done. Lots of room for more hands and interactive things to keep the kids interesting in learning about our past. This could also spell more revenue from schools for Field Trips.

I gave 4 stars because it states that these are small tours with only a van of people, but there was a car following us. It made it very crowded in some of the rooms and hard to see at times. The van was crowded also and a bit uncomfortable. No seatbelts. Laura our tour guide was excellent. She knew her stuff! The home itself was great. Where there were changes to the home, Laura had before pictures. It takes about 90 minutes.

One of the signs says it is the world's first airport and I liked that description. It is a beautiful meadow filled with a wide variety of wild flowers. There is a parking area with a trail, or you can follow the road to get to where the majority of the placards with historic information are located. (although there isn't really a place to park in that area). The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it can really use some TLC. The signage is a bit faded and the replica structure could use some tidying up and some pieces painted or replaced.

You can get admission to just the site, add on admission to the Wright's home (offered on certain days for an additional charge) and also add on for the train or carousel rides. Overall, admission is very reasonable at $14 for adults and $10 per child. Worth it considering all that you can see and do at the site. There are a lot of historic buildings you can enter. Most have placards outside describing what their history is. Some of them had costumed interpreters in them and some with animatronics. (which my daughter declared as super creepy). In the main building, there are exhibits about the history of Dayton where you can learn things like that at one point, Dayton had the most patents of anywhere in the US and the cash register was invented here. It was cool learning about the area (even though we aren't from here). I imagine it would be even more impactful if you were local. There is also the Wright Brothers building with a ton of information about the Wright Brothers and more Wright artifacts than any other museum or location. Everything is very well maintained and all of the staff are friendly and just waiting to give you information about whatever area they are in. If you go to Dayton, make sure you visit here!

I went here as part of a group, and they seem to get a lot of school field trips, but they're well organized, and it's a big place, so even with a ton of kids at the place, you don't feel like you're crowded. They have really great people working here, who are more than happy to answer your questions and explain things to you. I had like, fifteen minutes alone with the candle-maker lady and my son, and she entertained all of his questions and was really cool to talk with. They have a lot of Dayton-related history around NCR, and flight, and nuclear energy, and old automobiles. I bet it's a blast to work there. My favorite part though, was the outdoors area. It's just a really well maintained facility with lots of big old trees, and shade, and you can really just kick back and relax and chill out.

This old quarry has been "repurposed" and is a great spot to "get away from it all" without going too far. A good-sized lake, a few easy to moderate trails (the rocky lake overlooks are nice!!) and plenty of parking are what you'll find. No, not the best trail markings/maps, but if I figured it out, anyone can!! A great spot to discover in Greene County, I'll be back!!

The trails are clean and well kept. If hiking isn't your thing, there are lots of areas to play frisbee, let your kids run around, or have a picnic in the shade. It's about a 45 minute drive for us, so we don't go often but when we do go once or twice a year, we always enjoy this beautiful park.
