You can get admission to just the site, add on admission to the Wright's home (offered on certain days for an additional charge) and also add on for the train or carousel rides. Overall, admission is very reasonable at $14 for adults and $10 per child. Worth it considering all that you can see and do at the site. There are a lot of historic buildings you can enter. Most have placards outside describing what their history is. Some of them had costumed interpreters in them and some with animatronics. (which my daughter declared as super creepy). In the main building, there are exhibits about the history of Dayton where you can learn things like that at one point, Dayton had the most patents of anywhere in the US and the cash register was invented here. It was cool learning about the area (even though we aren't from here). I imagine it would be even more impactful if you were local. There is also the Wright Brothers building with a ton of information about the Wright Brothers and more Wright artifacts than any other museum or location. Everything is very well maintained and all of the staff are friendly and just waiting to give you information about whatever area they are in. If you go to Dayton, make sure you visit here!

I went here as part of a group, and they seem to get a lot of school field trips, but they're well organized, and it's a big place, so even with a ton of kids at the place, you don't feel like you're crowded. They have really great people working here, who are more than happy to answer your questions and explain things to you. I had like, fifteen minutes alone with the candle-maker lady and my son, and she entertained all of his questions and was really cool to talk with. They have a lot of Dayton-related history around NCR, and flight, and nuclear energy, and old automobiles. I bet it's a blast to work there. My favorite part though, was the outdoors area. It's just a really well maintained facility with lots of big old trees, and shade, and you can really just kick back and relax and chill out.

Among others, I found the final resting places of the Wright Brothers with their family, and first Lieutenant Patterson, after whom the Wright-Patterson Air Force base are named, along with Charles Kettering (as in the Dayton suburb Kettering), and humor writer Erma Bombeck. The grounds are immaculate, the markers are thoughtfully maintained and the whole place feels like a quiet blend of history and reflection that rewards anyone who takes the time to wander. Climbing towards the upper ridge gives you one of the best surprises here, a clear view of the Dayton skyline rising in the distance through the trees, which adds a nice sense of place to the visit. Woodland Cemetery is large enough to explore without feeling overwhelming, and the mix of shade, rolling hills, and historic figures makes it a genuinely enjoyable stop whether you're here for local history or just a peaceful walk. The roadways in the 'big money' (yes, this is what i refer to the original section as.) have been getting worse as we have been checking in. My favorite spot is on top of the hill where there's a stunning view of Downtown Dayton. Word to the wise, if you're there in your car inside the facility and it's getting close to them closing the gates. Maybe plan on leaving like 15-20mins before they close? Otherwise, you'll have this creepy white pickup truck follow g you around. I know they need you out, but they have learned not to come up and politely ask, they just sit and watch from afar. If you're in to history? Look up the tours in their website. They are incredible. Always informative and you get a ton of stories about the background of some of the folks who are buried here.

The trail itself is pretty much an out-and-back route with a couple of side trails that go into the neighborhoods or just an alternate route. While the vast majority of the trail is "in the woods", the park is sandwiched between the golf course and the houses but (at least while I was there) the area was pretty quiet. Admittedly, it was a cool winter morning without much sunshine. In any case, the area seems to be a popular place for walking or hill running, either on the trails or the park road. This park, while not one of the largest or most secluded, is a great place for a quick escape. This part of the park also has a very nice pavilion, restrooms, and the watchtower to visit.

The trails are short and easy to navigate with paved boardwalk as well, this would be a great park for small kids or dog walking. The surrounding area is beautiful, but there is quite a bit of traffic on the road around the park that you need to be aware of. They have a gorgeous and large shelter that would be great for a family event and plenty of shade trees.

Trails are pretty well kept, though I managed to get a bit turned around a few times, probably more related to my (lacking) sense of direction. There's TONS to see here, like most of the area metro parks, and I missed a few of the main attractions, but did check out the pond and the small waterfall.
