I had Stephanie as my massage therapist for a regular 60 min massage and she took her time asking about any health issues, concerns, and areas I'd like to focus on. Her pressure was wonderful and they used heated towels and essential oils for ultimate relaxing. She also gave me tips for what to do with existing tension I have. Say yes to the PRESS Modern Massage in Greenpoint. My oh my, what a lovely time I had for my birthday. One of the things I truly like about Press Modern Massage is that they have a fabulous website, which is good for business. In my opinion, while there are a number of available massage parlors throughout the City of New York, not all of them have such easy-to-manage and book appointment options. I was easily able to book my appointment last-minute and the location was so conveniently located. Upon my arrival ( I think I was about 5 minutes late by the way), I was informed of the no-shoe policy and after checking in, informed of how the massage works. My masseuse whose name I forgot (helpful right) was so good, and I appreciate every aspect of her service. She mad me feel comfortable and right. In addition, the young woman at the front desk was super friendly and courteous. As a note, Press shares the floor with others in the building so the bathroom is located outside of the massage studio. Still, this was an excellent experience overall. read more

Press has wonderful massage therapists! However, I would recommend that if they continue to offer pregnancy massages as a specialty, they should invest in pregnancy tables. I had two pre-natal massages and the therapist was wonderful, but even after asking for cushioning on the table, I still had hip pain during the massage. The tables are currently small and hard, and are definitely not conducive for side lying pre-natal massages or for bigger bodies. read more

I love this place, but more important, it is carla who truly stands out!! she is incredibly talented and knows way more than just how to give a "decent" massage. I have pretty intense issues and I've gone all over to find someone who can help me. carla has done that. she knows a lot about how things work, about how a person gets to where they get in terms of pain. she is way more than just a masseuse. do yourself a favor-if you're suffering even the tiniest bit, run here!! Absolutely wonderful place for a massage. The studio is not a luxurious day spa, but is much more warm & welcoming with a calm environment the minute you walk in the door. I had a 60 minute full body massage with Juanpaolo and it was incredible, he is very gifted. He picked up on some pain points that I've had for so long I forgot they were there. One of the best massages I've ever had + Jaunpaolo offered some tips & stretches at the end to help with the tensions he found. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!! read more

The massage was good although I marked "put me to sleep" on the form they have you fill out but received a deep tissue. I really wanted just to relax (and literally fall asleep), not have knots worked out. I wish the space was warmer or have a heated blanket, I was very, very cold which kept me from fully relaxing. My biggest annoyance was with the fact that even though I booked an hour massage, between filling out the forms that no one seems to look at and the extended time the therapist gives you to undress, I think my massage was only about 40 min read more

10/10 would recommend Aaron. As a personal trainer, I greatly appreciate the knowledge he had. I went in today for some back problems and Aaron helped me with a full hour of myosfascial release. Any time I asked him about what muscle he was working on, he was able to name it right away and tell me exactly what the muscles job is in the body and why it might be feeling the way it is. (Nothing like nerding out during a regeneration day) Sometimes I want a relaxing massage and other times I just need it to get the job done so I can keep moving through life smoothly. I love the space and the vibe here is very peaceful. I have been here several times and before each session, there is a consultation to discuss how I have been feeling and what we need to work on that time. Getting older I have aches and pains that are new and I appreciate someone who takes the time to find out what I really need to focus on. I never feel rushed. PRESS Greenpoint and Williamsburg are both extraordinary. The masseuses at each place are consistently the best of the best. Each has their own unique technique, but all have been wonderful. My therapist at the Greenpoint was incredible - listened to my issue and asked questions, then directly addressed it. I worked a Google for a bit, and they have a massage team I called "The Avengers of Massage" - like the best of the best. After working there, once I left I feel I was totally spoiled. The space is very calm/clean/quiet/professional looking, from the lobby to the rooms. It's nice. Now, the important part - the massage! I injured my shoulder lifting weights pretty badly. I contacted MG and asked for a recommendation for a therapist who knew about that whole world and what it involves, and they recommended Isabella Gerrit. She was REALLY great. I've had many massages in my life but never had a therapist who really educated me while she was doing her job (she also let me know she'd be happy to just let me relax, but I like knowing things so I asked a lot of questions). She ended up hitting spots that I didn't even know *could* feel better than they did (they do now) and took great care of my shoulder. My husband surprised me with a post baby massage. I could not be more happier with his choice of location. Sydney was amazing and hit all the points that needed attention. She made me feel more relaxed then I've ever felt. As a new mom, that feeling is heaven! I just wished I remembered the name of the woman at the reception desk. Hello! I had a massage today with Rena and it was honestly one of the best massages I think I've ever had. I normally go to this place near my work where they accept a Venmo tip. So I honestly totally spaced on hitting an atm ahead of time to get cash out for a tip, I only had my credit card (no debit) and they would not let me leave a tip on the credit card or accept another method of tip payment (Venmo, PayPal, etc.) I don't live in Greenpoint so it's pretty inconvenient for me to head back to drop it off, but she was very deserving of a tip and I really want to leave her one. I was very impressed when I left PRESS massage. They have such a friendly and inviting atmosphere and I felt none of the awkwardness normally felt at larger establishments.
