I have called between eight and 10 times in the last 14 months since I bought my house in Baldwin County. I have asked them to quit throwing newspapers in my driveway over and over again. To no avail! I can't believe that somebody can literally throw trash in your driveway and there's nothing you can do about it. Unbelievable! read more

In November I repaid for service / delivery from February 15/17 until March 25, 2018, now they have suspended me, and say I owe $24.52 to bring my account to current????????????? Where are my newspapers? What a scam - the Customer Care Person does not appear to be able to do math. My rating should be lees than one star but that, like today's paper was not an option for me. We are subscribed for Sunday deliveries and again have no paper even though the subscription cost is deducted from our bank account monthly. This would be easier to understand if I was delinquent in payment for this invisible newspaper. I'm sure you'd be irate also if you paid for something and did not receive it. I'm confident that there must be a rational reason for the non-delivery of my paper but the "customer service" operator was not able to share that with me. Service is a misnomer for this attempt to soothe an obviously irate customer-a waste of my time and hers. I would think that an attempt would be made to rectify the issue by replacing my missing paper even though it would have been even older news by then but that was not even suggested. I think every subscriber should be provided with a name & number of our carrier so they could be contacted not protected!! This is positive reinforcement of a negative value which guarantees more lapses in deliveries. I am enjoying getting the Press Register each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Now I do not have to search the more expensive vending machines only to find them empty. I have lived at the same address for 15 yrs. They cannot get my delivery correct. I have to call at least once per week to say I didn't get my paper. Ever since a big corporation bought them, they are terrible. No service and when you call you sometimes reach a person in a different country. Sometimes a different state. The left hand dosen't know what the right hand is doing. They don't care. After complaining for years, nothing changes. read more

If you are wanting delivery of the Press Register to your rural home, forget it! I resubscribed against my better judgment and the service is still really bad. When I called in to report that I had no Sunday paper, they told me that my area could not be "redelivered". Actually just delivery the first time would have been fine with us. Over a month ago we started getting the paper just out of the blue, thought someone we knew may have been sending it to us as a christmas present, or some promotion, you never know, so I look out today and there are 2 of them scattered all over my yard! They are not reliable, it wasn't coming daily, would only come every once in awhile, I mean really, do people still pay to get a newspaper? That's a big ol' waste of money, not to mention killing poor trees! Go to call their "1-800#" to find out whats going on, I would never, Never buy a subscription then I had to deal with that automated system it will not even let you get past putting a phone # "you subscribed with to get the paper", well since I didn't subscribe to it what was I suppose to put in? It was an aweful experience, and that automated system is a complete joke finally had to make up some numbers to get in and there was a wait time, then when I finally got someone on the phone, she was rude, not helpful, wouldn't even let me know if someone else may have been sending it to me as a gift, we started getting it around christmas and she was short with me, like seriously, whatever, yeah I know that's what happens when you live in the state of Alabama, no sense, but please dear God let this business go out of business, there's no need for the paper anymore we have the internet! read more

I signed up for home delivery in October. Here it is December. I have never received a paper and am unable to get them to process my refund. I have made dozens of phone calls. Most of the time I get a recording that says due to high call volume there is an unusual amount of wait time. They even called back playing part of this recording, but no real person. For the last two days there is no recording and no one answering the phone. I have also sent 5 emails that have gone unanswered. I have even written the president of the company. Poor customer service Al.com and Alabama Media Group! I would love to know how many people just give up trying to collect money charged to their credit cards and never refunded. read more
