fairly miserable experience. went in to buy a frame and matting prepared to spend as much as it…read moretook and to be a repeat customer since i have prints regularly to frame. clerk was fairly short w me and showed me a selection of ready made frames, i asked if they had larger frames she said no. she didnt offer the framing desk. i could see they clearly made frames and had to push to ask what process was to frame. she said it was an appt process and i couldnt schedule now w person behind framing desk, so i said ok id schedule online. her friend came in directly after me and asked if they had larger frames and she then directed her and walked her back to the framing desk to speak to the clerk she had just said i couldnt speak to and they brought out several large frames- one exactly like i was looking for- and then put a few on hold saying shed only get one. i was still standing right there and she did all this in front of me. she didnt acknowledge or apologize that shed done several favors for her friend in front of me that id just asked for as a new customer. so it was just weirdly rude on several levels. the framing person was nice enough to apologize because i spoke to her after the clerk left, but said there was nothing she could do. really really weird experience and im not inclined to return based on how rude that whole exchange was.

They have lots of options to work with (mats and frames), are creative and patient. They were also great about helping me lower the cost on one piece that was less important to me. And, I found a ready made frame, in their store, for a small print. Two weeks later, when I picked up the finished pieces, I couldn't have been happier. The workmanship is professional and each piece was wrapped with care. Abby and Art were as excited as I was to see the results. I will definitely go back when I need custom framing.

If you are a dog lover and/or dog owner, this is a place for you. First, you can bring your dog(s), on a leash or without, and let them run free (except in the gift shop... there, they must be on a leash)... but outside where the air is so fresh, the terrain is beyond beautiful, they can run around to their hearts' content. In addition to the breathtaking grounds, there is also an exceptional gift shop filled with all kinds of things from clothing to furniture and everything in between... all about dogs and all designed by Stephen Huneck, the creator and owner of Dog Mountain. In addition to this great gift shop is a Dog Chapel, also created by Mr. Huneck. It is a very beautiful, spiritual homage to dogs... a place where people of all faiths and walks of life can gather to reflect on the love of their dog(s)... living or departed. When I say there were THOUSANDS of post-it notes and pictures of dogs, I think I may be way off... maybe MILLIONS, plastered on all of the walls of the interior of the chapel. Truly amazing and inspiring. I felt bad because I didn't realize we could bring our own photos to affix, but maybe if we ever return, I certainly will bring some. I did, however, write a message to our dearly departed doggies in a big notebook. I couldn't help it, but I cried buckets while there. It's okay cuz I wasn't alone, to be sure. It is DEEPLY moving, and while it was very sad for us, it is also very uplifting, too, because it's a place to honor your loving dog(s). What a great concept to increase sales with puzzles and promote framing to preserve a piece of art you reassembled. Or should I say, pieces of toil, concentration, frustration, AH HA moments, early morning coffee, late evening red eyed sessions, to 10 minutes "work from home" breaks that easily clocked 30 minutes and maybe more (I won't tell). The shop is classic industrial period Main Street, prior history unknown. The shop, framing Mecca. The puzzles and selection of arts and crafts impressively displayed for browsing. We found two Winter puzzles to gift others in the family. Our own Winter subject still in deliberation. Despite, we asked for a business card and proudly made our purchase. It had been framed in a homemade barn board frame and a light blue mat. They did a beautiful job reframing, rematting and taking out the ripples from the water damage.
