Nothing humbles you faster than a cracked windshield. Thankfully, these folks know exactly what they're doing. I called down to get a quote and was greeted with kind, friendly, and exceptional service. My window was ordered and I was eager to get it replaced. When I went down I was treated as a friend and a valued customer. The two in the shop definitely kept it lively. And, as I ventured to the window to watch the man, the myth, the legend himself replace my window - I was on the edge of my seat as if I was waiting at my home window waiting for an Amazon package to arrive. The service was promptly, skillful, and swift as a coursing river. When I called around for price inquiries I took note of a handful of places that, when hearing the price, my jaw physically dropped. Upon scrambling to pick it back up I saw my options and realized I was saving (I could buy/replace so many windows) with Farrell's - saved my windshield and my wallet. Rare combo. Jim's intervention addressed my issues with the Ashland shop and has restored my faith in buying local. Initial one-star review: Do yourself a favor and work with Bill's Glass in Medford instead. I'm not going to identify/shame the individual by name, but the person responsible for intake in Ashland is incompetent, and you'll find yourself frustrated with the shop's inability to provide basic customer service. They make commitments, fail to meet them and then just make excuses. Sorry, I know it's inconvenient to have to travel to Medford when we have a Bill's glass in town, and I believe it's important to support local businesses. But without dramatically improved customer service in Ashland you will be frustrated and, several weeks later wind up going to Bill's in Medford anyway.

Multiple issues had to be corrected after the fact, including work that should have been completed properly the first time. I repeatedly had to follow up with him to address problems that were left unfinished or done incorrectly. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability. After acknowledging the issues and telling me multiple times that he would come back and fix them, he continually delayed the repairs with different excuses. I have text messages showing him promising to return and make things right. When I finally followed up again, he simply told me to hire someone else and claimed it wasn't the type of work he does. If this wasn't work he was qualified to perform, he should never have accepted the job in the first place. Instead, I was left with unfinished repairs, additional costs, and the inconvenience of finding someone else to fix the problems. Poor workmanship, poor communication, and no follow through. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Two days after the installation was finished we had a hard rain and I noticed the downspout was no longer connected to the gutter.
