This is bank is so unfair I called in to do a balance transfer and my phone disconnected the call and then I was interested in open up a loan and I was told I have to go through employment verification cause i was calling multiple times and my phone kept dropping the call.... I would give them a zero if it were possible. I set up the account with the intention to apply for an auto loan (since CUs are traditionally known to have better rates). First of all, it took a couple of calls, back and forth to get online access. As if that wasn't enough, I put in my loan application and it was an ordeal. Mind you, I have an excellent credit (784) with a very good income and no derogatory report whatsoever, on my credit. Guess what? I called and called on the status of the application for weeks. The lady told me it was being approved but because I dont have a history of auto loan, they would need an approval from the board. It was the most preposterous thing I have heard in a while. I work in the financial service industry and I know the dynamics of how credit works. Its the third week and I still never heard from them. I want to believe the company has selective treatment because there was absolutely no reason for suppressing my application. Eventually, I got preapproved with Capital One, Toyota financial and Honda financial services and even got a fantastic rate, due to my credit. Congratulations for lost business. I will never recommend this particular credit union to anybody. read more

After joining Prestige it really makes you wonder why anyone (including myself) was ever a member of a BANK. I think the one requirement is that you have to live within 10 miles from its location. First and foremost everyone here is so nice. I don't go in THAT much, and so far I just have my personal checking account and a CD, but everyone here knows who I am. And it seems like the peeps who work there are sincerely nice...not acting and conversing like how they learned in Bank-Teller Training 101. The CD rates are among the highest in the metroplex. And along with just about every credit union, they offer MUCH better rates on any type of loans. Why? Because they are non-profit whereas BANKS want as much profit as humanly possible. Easy enough? Okay, let's move on. I get free ATMs nationwide with the "Ultra Free Checking Account." YES FREE ATMs NATIONWIDE!! This is the greatest perk ever. I did get a very good interest rate but I chose to work with my car dealer instead. But I do highly recommend this place. Good service on most things but very poor credit card services. Get your cards elsewhere. I coinstantly get transactrions rejected, even for Deezer music service and other out of US services that I rely on in my business. They will not budge on this rule either so I'll soon have to take my business back to a "real" bank that has full service. read more

I would never EVER do business with this place again. Jeff the VP was a complete ASS. Their staff, while generally pleasant was, without but two exceptions, the most stupid group of people I have tried to do business with. The last straw was a frozen account from a charge because it was in England. I could live with that as a fraud protection and despite their generally horrid service I let it go and just got my new debit card with the explanation it would be active in a day or two. 1 Week went by. Not active. Drive through teller tried to close on me at 12:01 after I spend 10 minutes at the ATM with the no working card. Another week after that visit, still inactive and I am declined for a gas purchase. UNDERSTANDABLY livid I laid into them but good as they deserved. Jeff the VP was SO concerned with their performance that he tried to chastise ME for my treatment of his staff. I happily closed my account and had a Capitol One account in and out the door in under 15 minutes. This place is a joke and if you ever deal with them in particular the VP Jeff, be prepared to experience service unparalleled in it's inadequacy. read more

At best PCCU is inconvenient. Few locations and you can't deposit checks or cash into the atm at the Addison location. So if it's after hours and you need that money in your account now, you're shit out of luck. You can deposit into legacy texas but it could take 10 days to be in your account. Mobile deposits have to be cleared by the people at the branch so you have to wait for that. It seems like when I need them, the branch is closed which is just bad timing but still annoying. And it seems like I have to visit the branch more often than I did at my last bank where I rarely had to go in. Also I keep having issues with my debit card and fraudulent activity calls from the fraud detection center and the wait on hold is at least 20 mins( honestly I haven't spoken to anyone from the center because I hang up after 20 mins) and then there's a block so I can't buy anything. I just got a new debit card yesterday (because of the block and issues with contacting someone at the fraud detection center. The guy said I didn't need to talk to the center, he would remove the block and cancel my card due to fraudulent charges. Now I got my new card, still seemingly blocked AND the fraudulent charge went through and is posted on my transactions ??) and I can't buy anything because of ANOTHER fraudulent charge on my BRAND NEW CARD from somewhere in California and now I'm on hold. Again. My rent was late this month because of issues with my debit card. Super annoying. The staff is all really friendly and I've never had an issue with the customer service but with all of this I've decided to switch to a different credit union. read more

Worst bank ever. Horrible customer service. The teller today 2/6/2016 was very rude and condescending. 9 times out of 10 the staff will put your money in the wrong account. They barely ever know whats goin on. They need training. It takes 2 maybe even 3 employees to answer a single question. I highly recommend any place but here. We joined Prestige when it was still known as Galleria CU. It was the best decision we've made! We have moved out of the Dallas area since then, but they are still our primarily banking resources. Each time we need help, the interaction is always been pleasant and the staff never failed at resolving the issue or getting us what's needed. Recently we needed copies of check deposited at a different CU in California. Karen was able to track them down and sent us the copies via email. Not only that, she called to provide update of the status. That's the service that I have not even experienced in a bank! I've had all of the big names and a couple of other credit unions in my life, but NONE compare to PCCU. NONE. When it really matters and even when it doesn't- they just make things happen. They have gone above and beyond what I could have ever expected or needed. When life's unplanned events come along and try to knock you on your checkbook, words cannot express what it means to have someone there to reach out for so that it doesn't. I'm ok with only two branches, because I love the quality of service I get & I never want that to change. I'll drive for how great they have been to me, any day. I know these days it's always about what's bigger, "better", faster or closer. To me, its about how they treat me, the service(s) they provide, the ability and willingness to help when I need it, still be there when I don't & the benefits that actually improve my life are what's important & PCCU does all of that for me, every time. I've been a customer about 5 years. I have never had any errors and anytime I've called with questions or concerns I'm treated as a valued customer. Since there is only one branch I appreciate that I'm not charged any ATM fees, no matter where I go. I also appreciate that Prestige is part of the credit union organization that allows me to make deposits at various other credit unions. This convenience overcomes the issue of PCU having only one location. I've used other banks and credit unions but Prestige surpasses them all. read more

Prestige has excellent service and attentive employees. I recently had to wire transfer money and was having some issues getting accounts and service straight. Angel helped me make the transfer and gathered all the necessary information to ease the process. Additionally, I was having a few issues with my online banking. Paul took my call and got and got me up and running in no time! Recently Prestige pre-approved me for an auto loan. The dealership ended up beating their rate, but it allowed me peace of mind before I went into the showroom (& helped me get a better rate!) I have had two auto loans and one home equity loan with Prestige CU and the service levels were outstanding and the process was very easy! The rates are terrific and there were no closing costs on the recent home equity loan I took out. I also have a Payback checking account with the credit union that is not only free, but I get rebates on each debit card purchase and every ATM I go to is free, even at convenience stores. The teller staff I have dealt with is always friendly and provides good service. The credit union's app is top notch, very easy to access and allows for deposits of checks via mobile phone. I have banked with two other banks and one other credit union and Prestige Credit Union is by far the best. Overall I could not be more happy with Prestige Credit Union! read more

The people there are very friendly and know what they're doing. There really is no other reason to go anywhere else. If it was possible to give them negative stars I would. When I first opened my accounts I loved this credit union. Fast forward a couple years and I got a car loan a a credit card. Things were good at first but then every month I had a constant issue with them not posting my payments on time. So much so that it started to effect my credit. I was constantly calling Lamonte asking why my payments haven't been posted after about 3-4 weeks of me either mailing in the payment or paying online. He's was always extremely rude. Sometimes before I could even call him and ask about why my payments weren't posted he would call me telling me I needed to make a payment. He would call me about 6 times during the day and a few times after hours (from his personal cell phone) and demand money. I would have to send him my email confirmation of when I made the payment just to get the harassment to stop. In the four years in which I financed my car this harassment happened 17 times. At one point I felt he was going to show up on my doorstep and slit my throat that's how rude and ruthless he is. I have kept all of the emails, all of the payment confirmations, all of the voicemails, and the call log from his harassment. I strongly discourage anyone from opening an account at this credit union. It's a shame that one bad apple has to ruin the whole bunch. read more

Really pissed right now I drove out to a Casino and found out during my stay at the casino that I was unable to use my debit card because the card had expired even though expiration said that I had 2 more years on it. When I called the bank it clearly states that it closes at noon but it was closed by 11 on Saturday. I called the call center and they were unable to help me because they say that they had a different expiration date the one was on the card even though they are the ones that printed out the card and send it to me they were unable to verify because they had a different expiration date this is a dumbest logic that I could ever here they print out the card they send me a card with a different expiration date but they're unable to help me it's idiotic and I'm furious with them a waste of a trip now I'm stuck out here with no money and stupid Bank close at 11 instead of noon as it states. read more

I thought that it would be a great idea to become a member of a credit union because of the great rates on loans, and chose Prestige because it's close to where I live. I'm not at all happy with the decision I made. It's not that the staff isn't great, it's that it's nearly impossible to get things done dealing with this credit union. The ATM outside of this credit union can only be used for withdrawals; deposits require you to leave whatever amount you plan to deposit inside of a drop box. Several times I've called to get things done, such as changing my pin number, and was told that the one person who could do it was unavailable. If the building itself is closed, there's no chance of customer service. I've sent several messages/disputes over a specific charge on my account, and haven't had a response of any kind. I just don't think I'm cut out for cozy, small outfits like this one. It's not a bad establishment at all, it's just not for me. I find it reassuring that with a larger bank I can get service of some sort at all hours, because interesting situations come up and require immediate response (what if my debit card was stolen? What if my account was otherwise compromised?) and I just don't feel that it's possible to get that response with this credit union. read more
