WOW! I must say Prestige Dance Company has the best Salsa Lessons in the LA area. They are very organized and the classes are well structured. Jennifer teaches the beginner classes, Brent Teaches Intermediate One and Miguel Intermediate Two. I love the fact that it is a safe, fun, friendly respectful environment, it does not matter if you have two left feet you will learn how to dance, I did. I started as a beginner with Jennifer, I just passed Brent's Intermediate program, I am now starting Miguel's Class and can't wait to learn more dancing routines/techniques. I only pay 97 dollars a month. This includes, Sunday thru Thursday classes, a 5 hour Boot Camp (once a month), social dancing and so much more. Their Salsa Classes are worth every penny, and more. Moreover; I gave them all a 5-Star Rating, Because, Prestige Dance Company has helped me achieve my goal faster, than I thought possible. I am having the time of my life. I started taking classes with Prestige at Steven Steak's House 3 months ago, and this is the best salsa learning experience I have ever had. This is a structured program that allows you to learn the 12 basic salsa steps in the beginners level first. Once you have built a strong foundation in the beginners level you move on to the intermediate level 1 where you learn to put the basic steps together into 6 fundamental combinations. After mastering the 6 combinations you can confidently move on to the intermediate level 2 where you will be taught advanced routines using all the lessons learned in the two previous levels. The instructors, Jennifer (beginners), Brent (intermediate 1) and Miguel (intermediate 2) are extremely knowledgeable and amazing at teaching. They care about each student, and give proper constructive feedback for them to become better dancers. The class environment is very friendly and welcoming. This is by far the best salsa learning program in the Los Angeles area. Highly recommended! read more

I have been attending classes for almost a year with Prestige at Steven's steak house. I enjoyed learning the steps in the Beginners class. Jennifer is a wonderful teacher who breaks down each move in great detail. That helped me tremendously to get to the next level of Intermediate. The instructor for the intermediate class is detailed and meticulous. He too breaks each step down, paying attention to each h student in his class correcting small details of the dance, styling, fluid movements, timing and concepts. I really, really appreciate his calling the name if the step as we do them, not just counting the beat. I learned to visualize and understand the combination of the dance by his method of teaching. Last night I passed his test with 99.9% to be able to move to the Advanced class. I am looking forward to learning from the instructor, Miguel, who is a true leader in his profession, one of the best and who always keeps you on your toes lol. Well what can I say I began my salsa journey looking for a new hobby and to just get out and meet new people so I walked into Stevens steak house in late August of last year and it has changed my life. I began in Jennifer's beginners class where she really helped me learn the basics quickly she was patient and helped me gain confidence to move on to intermediate. There Brent who is a wonderful instructor helped me find my rhythm and broke everything down to us so we always understand every move. Last but not least Miguel who's moves are remarkable now leads my way to becoming a professional salsa dancer. Could possibly be the BEST place in the nation to learn how to dance salsa on 1. I have taken classes in SF, Miami, SD, and LA and the Prestige instructors are the best! Here's why I think this is true: Classes are consistently held 5 days per week, and we all know practice makes perfect. There are three levels to choose from, and if a student follows the program, one can become a good dancer in a relatively short period of time. Each instructor effectively communicates and demonstrates the dance steps and allows plenty of practice time, they don't babble and make you watch them show off how good they think they are, it's all about the students. Lastly it is fairly priced, and there is a monthly boot camp that introduces students to other types of dancing, which helps break up the monotony. Actually there is one more thing I'd like to mention, and that is, you are made to feel like family! read more

The dance instructors are top notch. I learned quickly with Brent because he breaks down the steps clearly and efficiently. I recently passed Brent's intermediate class to advance via testing. His test is comprehensive because a a preparation for advance class in which the moves are much more intricate and the level of dancing is more demanding. As with any school, testing is a way of proving you have the ability to perform the fundamental steps in which to build on. Without the basic concepts you can find yourself lost and keep everyone else in the class waiting for you to catch up. I figure since I am a paid member, I want to take advantage and make every penny count. Will miss Brent but I know he is there if I need additional instruction. Thank you so much! read more

I went because a friend invited me! Wow! such an amazing experience! Their patience and way of teaching is like no other out in my area! They break down every step and they really care about you learning the proper way! They have a well thought out curriculum with 3 skill levels. Also, they're very well known and respected in the LA Salsa Community, and that means a lot. I learned more here in one hour than I've learned in months in other classes taken here in the valley. Senior instructors, Miguel Aguirre, his wife Jennifer, and Co-Instructor Brent, easily have the most manageable and least intimidating salsa program I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Excelent Instrutors! They have 3 levels of classes. It is a fun environment & instructors are very patient. I'v been in the begginer class for 4 months and I enjoyed this so much that I'm ready for the next level. Prices are reasonable, You can pay as u go or pay the monthly rate. I like that if you bring your own partner you don't have to switch unless you want to. I also noticed that couples like taking the class as a date night. Best instructors to learn salsa step by step. Environment feels like family. Can not find a better deal any where else, salsa classes, social dancing, free buffet, and sports channels tv. I've taken classes at three other studios and I've learned more here and at a faster rate. They make sure you get the moves down and they're so good at instructing. Class is a lot of fun. Highly recommend it for anyone that's serious about learning. read more
