No kind of relief even with the windows open. it's not warm enough for an AC unit to be put in and I wouldn't trust putting one in as I live in the garden unit. I have 2 small children and the fact that they know this, didn't deter them from turning up the heat for no good reason and having it run continuously day and night. there are other children in this building. i have not been to sleep since last night. the heat is unbearable. someone needs to handle this immediately before I contact the city about this.

They were asked to come out to our home and do a home appraisal for a closing that the bank required to be turned in 48 hours later. Not only has a week gone by with no response on the appraisal, the representative was and is: unprofessional, unqualified, and has been caught lying on several different occasions. The representative from Prestige Partners stated when asked when she would turn in the review: "I will get to the appraisal when I get to it". Now that's customer service at it's best!

I recently ended my contract with Matanky Realty after a six (6) month term…read more I discovered their company through a tastefully done post card I received in the mail touting another property they were trying to sell, Great marketing technique I thought, so I signed up with Matanky! The soliciting post cards that they would send out on my behalf, were in part sponsored by my contribution of $200 payable to them at closing. They asked for in excess of $500 but I balked at the added fee when they were going to make 6% on the total property sale. When I received a sample of the index size cards with my building pictured on the front, I also noticed logos from Dominick's, Subway and McDonald's and how they also probably contributed money to finance these post cards. What galls me, is they still had the b*lls to ask me for additional money to pay for these cards unless, the above corporations got a free ride on my post cards, which I highly doubt. We agreed on an asking price for my property and I was very impressed by the senior Matanky agents' experience and savvy in the Chicago market. Immediately, people were paraded through my property weekly, which went on for the first four (4) months at least and then it all ran completely dry and fizzled out. No bids were offered but one lone desperation offer about 30 days out of contract termination. The apparent deal was.... an employee of a bicycle repair shop who made 70kk approximately but had inadequate credit, which is not unlikely in the great recession we're in. So, his girlfriend was to cosign for him. A girlfriend no less! The Matanky client was to rent the space for 12 months and buy the property later at an agreed to price for his business venture. The client sells adult toys to women on the side by bicycle and that was to go into my building. The buyer had no previous brick and mortar retail experience in his past and offered no ample security deposit. The whole deal stunk in my eyes and that of a few of my most trusted confidants that look out for my better interests. What really irritated me, was the junior Realtor who was almost exclusively assigned to my property after inception. I know I may be dating myself but he reminded me of young Jimmy Olson circa: Superman 1950's.... wet behind the ears, inexperienced but dying to score points and prove his worth and often times stumbling over his own feet and/or putting his foot in his mouth. I said NO to the above deal and he was so insistent I meet with him so they could twist my arm into accepting a deal that in my eyes clearly stunk. What do you not understand about the word, NO!? After not returning their calls hoping they would get my message that I was not interested in this deal, junior Realtor boldly unlocks my front door and starts accusing me of avoiding him and on and on. Asks who is advising me as if to say I have no right to talk to anyone but him for advice~! I was completely done with this company after his tirade. It's not that they didn't sell the building, I know times are difficult but assigning a novice that is not ready for prime time to represent my interests and Matanky's is not a prudent course of action to take. People talk and bad news travels. I will not be railroaded into a deal that does not have my best interest in mind.
