Unfortunately, I have to put up a very honest review of this dog grooming service because I feel it's best to share information when you have it. Pets don't have a voice so it's important to be the voice for the voiceless. I would feel terrible if I didn't share my experience and then another pet gets hurt. First, I scheduled my appointment for 3:30pm on May 5th, Tuesday. John arrived almost an hour ahead of my scheduled time. Why have a schedule if you're not going to adhere to it? When he arrived, I was not home so my son allowed him to enter the premises and he began grooming one of my dogs. My dog is a Maltese-chihuahua mix and he's a very sweet puppy. He's not vicious in any way and he's very trusting of people, even those that he doesn't know. Once I got home I went to check in with groomer and he was starting the blow drying process so I left him to do his work. I was inside my kitchen while John was outside grooming my dog so I wasn't standing over him to watch his every move, although now I wish I had sat there and watched. I didn't expect that anything went wrong during the grooming, so once my dog was done I paid for the service. I realized shortly after John left my home that my dog was no longer jumping like he normally does. Normally he will jump onto the couch or his favorite ottoman, but he stopped as soon as he approached the furniture and just looked at me. I figured maybe he had a toenail that was cut too short and that's what was bothering my dog. I looked at his paws...didn't see anything alarming. I helped my dog for the remainder of the evening and hoped he felt better the next day. The next morning I noticed he was picking up his hind leg while walking and it was the same thing again, he didn't want to jump. I called the vet to ask what should be done if I suspect that a toenail was cut too short. They gave me a pain medicine to start him on for three days and they said he should start to feel better after a few days. By Thursday evening he still had no improvement so I emailed John to ask if anything happened during the grooming session that I should know about and he said that he cut a nail too short but he put styptic powder on it and it should be fine. Mind you, he didn't tell me at the grooming appt that this happened. I let him know that my dog stopped jumping and was limping and I was going to be taking him to the vet to get checked on the following day, Friday. That Thursday night I decided to check my cameras to see if I noticed anything during the grooming session that could have contributed to this pain my dog has. During my review of the recording I noticed that my dog was not attached to the grooming table leash and he fell off the table at one point. When he fell he landed on the back hind area and landed on concrete. I continued to watch in horror and then noticed towards the end when John was cleaning up and putting his equipment away...my dog was done but he just left him there on the table and still not attached to the leash. My dog kept looking at him as he walked around him over and over again and he was waiting to be taken down from the table. Since John didn't even think to place him on the floor when he was done with the grooming, my dog decided to jump down on his own. This is a big jump for a small dog to make because he can easily hurt his back making a high jump like that and on to concrete. I then made an emergency appt with the vet for Friday after seeing this video footage and I sent the footage to his vet so that they could make a better assessment of what might possibly be wrong. Upon physical exam they didn't find anything broken, but they want to do xrays in a week. They have extended his pain prescription for another seven days and he's scheduled to go back in for X-rays on Friday, the 15th to do a thorough exam to make sure nothing is broken, to check for ligament damage, tissue inflammation or damage to his hip bone. These xrays will require sedation and our expected cost is about $350.00. I feel terrible for not staying by my dog's side during this nightmare of a grooming session and now I will carry around the guilt of this experience especially if my dog will forever suffer from this grooming injury. My dog is only two years old and doesn't deserve to have these physical injuries caused by someone that is supposed to be taking care of him during a grooming service. I highly suggest that if you do hire this groomer, you stand and watch his every move. If he does something wrong to your pet, he won't tell you. This was the biggest mistake and I feel terrible looking at my dog while he sits here in pain and with a worried face because he can no longer jump like he used to. I had to share my experience with this groomer because I would hate for another family pet to be hurt by this groomer. read more

DO NOT USE THIS GROOMER. He is not trustworthy. He stole $107 from my 87 year old Mother. He charged her cred card and then canceled the appointment to groom her dog and refused to refund her Money. I had John come to my house to groom my Yorkie. It didn't go well! I wouldn't give them the one star but I cannot believe I cannot give them no stars. John came in with a trainee. He bathed Napoleon in my bathroom. Then they took him out in the patio to trim him--not a good day for my wet boy to be outside! It was definitely chilly! John wasn't experienced enough for dogs that move. I had to keep going out to tell them what I wanted my dog to look like--even though I had several pictures of what I wanted. My Napoleon isn't a biter but but he kept moving. The next thing I know, John came in and told me he cut my dog's ear but it was just a small cut. I didn't realize how badly he cut my dog's ear until I did a further investigation. HE CUT A GAP FROM HIS EAR! He hid it from me with the clotting agent! But when I looked through the clot--it was a big gap!! Napoleon actually needed stitches. But by the time I saw how bad it was, it had started to heal by second intention. Bad, bad, BAD!!! read more
