It came to Bridge Road about 6 years ago, taking over the space which was the old bank. Somehow it transformed bank premises into a spacious salon which houses spa therapies and a manicure/pedicure room. Over the past few birthdays and Christmas's I have asked for vouchers for In Harmony treatments (they are quite pricey, and I never have much money) Usually I get an Ultimate Aromatherapy Massage (1hr 15 mins for £75.00). After I came back from a weeks walking holiday in the Spanish mountains I went for the De-Stress Muscle Release (1hr 15 mins, £75.00), where I was pumelled back into shape. It was a strange combination of heavenly and painful, but I came out with restored joints. They also do a wide range of back and neck massages as well as anti-cellulite treatments, facials (the Renew Rose Facial is very popular) and pregnancy treatments. Now I just need someone to get me another voucher...

It was done by the senior masseuse and for about 45 minutes, only set me back by £35.00. At the end, she gave me exercises to do, and the muscles were back to normal by the end of the day. For a relatively small salon, they pack so much into this place - a hair salon, mani's, pedi's, facials, body treatments,massage, waxing, electrolysis and laser hair removal. If all that sounds a bit painful you can get a St Tropez done instead. The girls are all lovely in here, and the prices aren't expensive. If you are a local and you haven't been in here, you need to get yourself down here and let the ladies sort you out.

Because my hair resembles a lions mane, it needs near constant supervision and I put my trust in them completely. As well as all the standard cuts, colours and tints, this salon stand out for me because of the range of organic hair colours that they also offer for tints and highlights. Namely Aveda and Organics. If you are like me, and have spent years stripping your hair of colour only to have it artificially re-applied again, then I would suggest Organics, which has no ammonia or parabens, and doesn't damage the hair structure. The Maze also do 15 minute treatments with these products which end with a head-tingling massage, and are only £10. One of the stylists has also qualified to cut wigs. The principle of this is called My New Hair, a Trevor Sorbie cause which teaches stylists how to cut wigs for cancer patients who have suffered the side-effects of chemotherapy and experienced hair loss. Sorry guys, your secret is out. I used to come to Tru Tan a couple of years ago when I occasionally used to use sun beds. I only went on them every couple of months, and stopped when I realised that I am a girl with freckles, and these are so not a good idea. Still, if you are after a stint on the tan beds, this is where they are. Thankfully they do other treatments so I can still come in. The safer way to look tanned is the spray tan, and they do a Mystic spray tan here. This costs £15.00, which is much cheaper than a St Tropez. As it as a machine that does it,rather than a person, do remember to lift your arms up when it sprays you, otherwise you will have a curious strip effect running up and down your body. Of course, you know that I speak from experience. They also do waxing here, and eyebrow and lash tints. You can also get manicures and pedicures done. I have yet to see the point of manicures - but that is because I invariably chip all the nail polish before I have got to the car. Honestly, you can't take me anywhere!

So when I went it to confirm they said that will be £30.when I complained they said they would do it for £ 16 plus the mani/ pedi. £91. Well my daughter could have done better. Not a happy customer.

I turned over and she worked on my inner and outer thigh and stretched my hips. Fabulous job! Best massage ever. Highly recommended. Price is very reasonable and affordable. Will definitely come back again. I'm in Hounslow for the London marathon on Sunday. I just finished Berlin marathon. She definitely loosened me up.
