I have three tattoos from Amy and I'm still planning more. I'm ready to give her both my arms to use are her canvas. That's how good she is. I originally came to see Amy to touch up a Yorkshire rose I got when I was traveling in the UK and add some botanicals to fill out the area. She added some detailed leaves and blackberries and I was so BLOWN AWAY by the quality of her work, attention to detail, lines, sense of color, and collaborative spirit that I immediately booked her for another tattoo... this time a 'cosmic serpent' on my left forearm. She did an amazing job with not only collaborating with me to make sure I got what I wanted, but with the lines and color. I constantly get compliments on it. We had another snake booked and then Covid happened, so I had to wait about a year to get it and just did. AND IT IS AMAZING AND MAGICAL. It's the photo of the green and yellow snake wrapped around a rose branch wand on my right arm with a flame tip. The detailing on the scales and rose buds are to-die-for. I could not be more happy with it. I got the cool-toned 'cosmic snake' on my left arm to represent 'receiving' energy from the universe -- and an earth and warm-toned snake with a wand on my right arm to represent the magic, passion and fire I want to give or 'put-out' into the world. I got tattooed at Pretty in Ink a couple of days ago and had a terrific experience. Ali created an American traditional style tattoo of my dog at my request. The resulting work is gorgeous - exactly what I was hoping for but better. The colors are vibrant and it feels very classic. I'm then given a phone and told to speak to my would-be artist who tells me they ignored my deposit and will not be completing the work like planned. This is not a reliable business. read more

I got the back of my shoulder tattooed by Alex. I was really nervous because in scared of needles, pain, commitment... And I was never psyched about the first tattoo I got from someone else years ago. We did my tattoo in two sessions. After the line work was done I was already in love and staring at my new tattoo all the time. When I went to get the color done yesterday, it was during their inktober promotion. Alex's work was so incredible that she actually relieved my tattoo anxiety. Like I feel so good about tattoos now that I had Amy tattoo a beautiful succulent flash on my forearm right after Alex finished in a totally uncharacteristic impulse. So upset with the artist Shari. Contacted her through Craigslist posting offering discounted prices for bigger piece art due to wanting to expand her portfolio. Initial meeting went great she quoted me a good price made deposit (cash only). Fast forward 2months later. I emailed her a few weeks before asking to see the artwork she drew for me and she said to protect her art she could not send it to me. Which I 100% understood and had no problem with. She would show me the day the appointment was set and we could make any changes at that point. Now My appointment was Monday it's Sunday afternoon, I get a message while at work saying she underestimated the cost that it would actually be 50$ more than the start. At my lunch break I checked my email where another message was sent saying same thing but this time 100$ more than start quote. How does this only come up the day before the appointment. I did ask and she said she draws the work the day before so it's fresh in mind. First of all when I asked to see the artwork few weeks ago she never mention it wasn't even created yet. So there wasn't even any art work to show me. Second, the price change was not a big deal for me I have no problem with it but we had already discussed size and wanting it colored, the price quoted should of been the correct price from the start. It wasn't like I made any changes since we last spoke. At the end of the day this all seemed very unprofessional and messy to me, I wasn't comfortable anymore to have her tattoo my body. I really did like her artwork from past tattoos on her Instagram page and was very excited. I thought this place was awesome reading it was female owned and operated. I was telling friends to check it out due to its cool background and initial meeting going good. Last thing I paid cash for deposit, and was told I could only pay cash for the rest as well. And when I said I would stop by to pick up my deposit she squarecashes it back to me. Now another negative point there. You ask for cash only but return it in a different way. Smh. read more

Loved my experience with Amy! I emailed her a week before to ask if they had time for a tiny thing on my wrist. I'm horribly impulsive when it comes to my tattoos and if it doesn't get done soon, it won't get done so I was happy she could fit me in! The day comes and there was an unfortunate scheduling snafu but everyone was gracious and it worked out. The part that won me over was how patient she was when I realized I wasn't as prepared as I had thought. I had an image in my head of how I wanted it done, but had no examples for her to go off of. It took almost an hour of sketching over and over before I was ready. Special shout out to her other client who patiently waited as my appointment time cut into his! I got in the chair, she set up her things, the whole process took not even 5 minutes! I mentioned how nervous I was since it's been a few years since my last one. She checked in with me every few strokes to make sure I was doing OK, even though it was such a small tattoo hahah. The end result was everything I wanted! Simple, clean, and as unique as a handwritten font can possibly be. During this entire headache, not once was she rude or get snippy with me about my indecisiveness; for that I am so pleased and look forward to working with her again! Had a fantastic experience receiving both a tattoo and a piercing here from Shari and Kat respectively. Beginning with the tattoo: I walked in and had a session with Shari. As usual, I went in with no expectations and a lot of hope. I always go in with a word or words in mind (this time a quote), and collaborate with the artist on size and design. It's as much about the experience as it is about the souvenir. Because it was a slow day, we had the time to go back and forth on everything, from font to color to placement. She had a vested interest in making it exactly what I didn't know I wanted, and was happy to expand the design after we got the words done. This was all done at a very reasonable price - especially considering I took up about 3-4 hours of her time in total. She also volunteered to fix the line work in an older tattoo, free of charge. We had a great conversation the whole time, and we chilled after. I walked in as a client, and we walked out friends, which is the epitome of what I want from an artist. The next day, I went back to hang out, and I met Kat, the parlor's new piercer. While she is relatively fresh, she brings in a background knowledge in biology, which *cough* some of the piercers I've had in the past would have benefited from. She was able to explain why a few of my past piercings were failures (and why they shouldn't have been done in the first place...), and gained my trust enough to let her put another hole in my ear. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Needless to say, I have a great couple of nights with these ladies, and I'm sure there will be many more on the horizon. If you're looking for a comfortable and inviting place to get some work done by people who care, I would definitely recommend this spot. read more
