First time coming in and wanted to see what this place was about and once I got sat down and I immediately got a bad vibe. And I told the lady doing my pedicure that I wanted regular polish and she didn't do what I asked. I even said at the register why the price was high when I said regular polish and NOT Gel. And she said "oh we don't do that, only Gel" if I would've been told that before I sat in the chair I wouldn't have stayed. Paid $70 for pedicure and eyebrow wax. Absolutely ridiculous. Ladies idk about y'all but I would be real careful about going to Pretty nails and Spa on Berkeley (near chipotle) -Customer service was definitely TRASH - Sanitation was DISGUSTING - There was no social distancing or wiping down anything. Today was my first time going there because my other nail spot was booked. So I decided to get a fill-in, there were 3 chairs open and other people (ALSO WITHOUT APPOINTMENTS) got in the chairs before me. Once I got in the chair the lady used the same nail file that she just used on ANOTHER CLIENTS FEET AND NAILS on me‼ Lastly as the lady was doing my nails I began to bleed and she literally continues to use the same paint with my blood on it, she did not clean nothing. She put that same nasty brush on the next client. She also broke on of my nails and charged me for the nail that SHE broke!! The color I used today was number 34, and I sat at Lynsey's chair(the names are on there desk) Highly disappointed the picture is after I cleaned most of the blood. read more

To start off the man started drilling my toenails and I had nothing but polish. It hurt so bad at one point that I yelled OW. He then cut my toenails almost to the numbs. The he got an attitude when I said I didn't want gel. He was super rough the whole time. Will never return. read more

I love this place! Helen takes care of me. She does my nails, eyelashes, eyebrows/tint. She takes the time to give me exactly what I want, without me telling her, meaning she knows what I like and don't like. All I have to tell her is the color nails that I want. She is very professional and friendly as well. I will only go to this shop and to her because I feel confident in knowing I'm going to leave out with exactly what I wanted. read more

Horrible...don't waste your time and money. It's a hit or miss. They do a good job IF they get to you on time and IF they are in a good mood. They have an appointment system which is pointless since they don't honor appointment times. My appointment was at 11:30, showed hip at 11:20 so I wouldn't be late... it's 11:45 and still no sign of anyone being available. When asked Justin how much longer his answer was "5,10-15 minutes" ooookkkk? So I asked "you don't honor appointment?" Answer: just states and says "it's ok. Only 5 more minutes. It's ok" Nope not okay Justin. People make appointments for a reason, y'all should really not chew on more than you can swallow. If you have appointment maybe don't take the walk-Ins. Waited a while 15 minutes for nothing. I went in for a French gel manicure and eyebrow wax. The French gel was a complete rush. The man that did them did not take his time and I had to go straight to work so I couldn't have anything fixed right away. I made sure to email pics immediately after I left and express my concerns. I received an email back from the manager telling me to set up a time for free repair of set. I went in at the time agreed upon and literally was humiliated by this "manager". every word out of his mouth was that "my nails were the problem, the shape, how thin they are, etc. He was condescending and I felt like an absolute fool sitting in that chair having them fixed. The other workers kept coming over and they would speak to each other (not in English) and all began laughing. I wanted to cry I was so embarrassed. All I could do was sit there. I've been reading other reviews that are quite recent honestly and all signs are pointing at "rudeness and rushed/poor quality" work. I will never return to be treated in such a manner. I will not be giving this business my money ever again. Every time I ask for a particular design, I get attitude and get passed to another nail tech. Terrible experience getting a pedicure. I'd give zero stars if I could do it ! I asked for the "deluxe" , which included callus removal , massage and scrubbing , and the generic trimming,etc , well, my friend and I went in together and she sat down first.. ordered the deluxe, too. She *did* get the gel polish , but my nail tech was really careless. He tried to go as fast as possible and did the absolute minimum. When I asked them to correct an issue he came back looking bitter because he did not scrub off the calluses ... so the manager called him back again. He was rather cranky and dug his fingers into my foot when correcting it. I asked the manager if he could compensate me for the below average pedicure. Since my pedicure was significantly shorter than my friends pedicure (she had her nails trimmed, cuticles cut 3 times, and feet scrubbed with a tool my person didn't even use), I was waiting for 30 MINUTES for her to finish (I get she had gel nails but it doesn't take an extra 30 min to paint gel on). He acted like it was a race and he won! The manager said "he said he gave you an 8 min massage!". I wasn't the massage. It was the fact he did the bare minimum and didn't even clean up my feet like take the nail polish off the skin where he messed up. I asked for a discount and the manager said "no". I took my mom here to get our nails done together and it was an awful experience. We both left very upset. The staff is R U D E. They treated us like we weren't anyone special. We will not be going back here again. The lady cut my moms finger and it hurt her so bad that we ended up having to put Neosporin and a bandaid on it. Rude and painful. Worst salon experience ever. They don't individually wrap your nails with foil to soak off polish, they just pour it over your hands in a bowl. Left with red, sore nail beds from abrasive filing and split, broken nails. The prices are good here however when I went to my appointment for a manicure I still had to wait even though I scheduled a time to come in. When I was sat down to be worked on the lady hadn't even sanitized her tools before working on my nails.I personally would not come back only cause of poor sanitation. read more

Took four young ladies here for pedis and manis with direction to not have gel applied to fingernails. They were asked over and again about placing gel on fingernails, as they claim that they can't use regular polish on fingernails. Their manis and pedis were completed within 45 minutes and the paint on toenails is less than pleasing. I would not recommend this salon. read more

I tried to avoid writing this review, but I just have to at this point. The first time I went to this place I got dip powder nails and within 3 days the dip powder was chipping off of my nails. I had been getting dip nails for a year in another state before I went to this location and this had never happened before. I just wrote it off and let it go. Fast forward, I am back again because I needed my nails done last minute & yet again they disappoint. This time I got gel nails with French manicure, they weren't that great, but again last minute. Three days after I get them they are again chipping away on multiple fingers. This time I go back and talk to the owner & she just asks me who did them and tells me to go back to them and they will fix them. Expect to wait at least 30+ mins just to be seated in a chair and an additional 15 to actually start getting your nails done. The staff are rude as a whole. Especially the man who sits closer to the door/front desk (I think he owns the salon, not sure) it's Very expensive for the quality of work they do here. As well as location. I went last night with my Mother-in-law. We both got manicures and pedicures, the person who was doing my MIL pedicure had a friend sit next to her and talked to her friend the whole time, only trimmed the left foot not the right. When I was getting my nails done I noticed that the girl didn't cut my cuticles.. however, she cut and filed my nails. I went back this morning and the guy told me that they would not redo it . I was extremely excited to get a mani/pedi. I gave the Nail Tech my color and pedi/mani selection. The tech told me she did a great foot massage, as I sat back a couple came in (Military Vet and his wife) and my tech jumps up and says "Hello how are you..." and walks off to take care of them. She guides another tech to me and walks off. The lady who manages the place says "She had appointment". I told her " you don't have to lie ...if they had an appointment she would never had started my pedicure and that's extremely RUDE. The lady who started my pedi walks by and smiles at me. I told her not to smile at me because what she did was Rude and Bad Business. When I went to pay they didn't even have the decency enough to apologize or even give a discount.
