I went in for an overlay pedicure, and overall, my experience here wasn't good. Upon arrival, the staff were just sitting around in the spa chairs and looked irritated as if I was interrupting. The nail spa was cluttered with mess, and it seems like it doesn't get cleaned often. When I sat down to get my feet cleaned and massaged, the massager did a nice job, but moving on to the nail tech was uncomfortable. Instead of doing my feet at the pedicure chair, they moved me to the nail chair and had me extend and lift my foot onto the lady's lap. My leg was literally shaking from extending it out for so long. It was the most uncomfortable service that I've ever received. And for all of that, I feel as if the result was mediocre, especially for $85. read more

I got my bridal shower nails done here on June 11 why do is just under 2 weeks ago. The set is starting to look a bit old so I came in to have 'em soaked off and avoid damage to ny nails. An older lady did them and DESTROYED ny nails. Every single nail has a cut or is filed down too far or the nail is broken past the skin barrier. I was wincing and crying in the chair and she showed zero remorse or empathy. My nails are paper thin and aching 4 hours later. My sister called and spoke to the owner and she told us to come back for the $15 I spent. When we returned, the employees were rude and did nothing acknowledge us. The lady that gave the money back slammed it in my sister's hand and all the while, they spoke ill of us in their native tongue ... (surprise, we understood you). I got my bridal shower set done here and LOVED IT. I'm 2 days away from having the set for 2 weeks and they've started to look bad so I went to have them taken off. the older lady that took them off DESTROYED my nails. Every single nail hurts. she either cut into my cuticle, my nail bed or drilled too deep on each finger. I paid $15 to have her hurt me for 45 minutes. I was literally crying in the chair.. she did nothing to console me and continue working on the nails that obviously caused me pain. over the phone, the owner offered my money back but when we returned, no one acknowledged us. My sister explained the situation and showed pictures of the issues since I was crying in the car. The lady who did my nails slammed the money in her hand and spoke ill of us both in her native tongue (we understand vietnamese, mandarin, and korean). I will NEVER return to this place. I could have taken the nails off myself and done less damage. I am really disappointed in the service, as well as the customer service. read more

I came here to get my nails taken off. The staff was working super hard and people were literally yelling at them. The lady doing my nails said sorry like a million times. People could just be nicer to the staff who's trying to run a nice business. Took 20 minutes bc my nails were so long and thick and they charged $8. Which is low for 2 inch long acrylic nails. This was a terrible experience!! Although they were cheap, the quality of the work was horrid. You get what you pay for. The person who did my fill keep going in my cuticle with the electric file. She put the wrong color on then when she corrected it she left it bumpy and uneven. You can still see the outline and previous color under the new coat of acrylic on 7 out of the 10 nails. I always try to patronize my neighborhood businesses with support but Pretty Nails is one I am never returning to due to ONE rude rep. Yes, the rudeness of not able to speak English well, but to snatch and yank on anyone's feet to the point where you state, "Don't worry about polish or completing service". I told rep several times, "You are too rough to be giving a pedicure to anyone". My next encounter was my nails, the older lady was much pleasant and took her time. However, I pointed out one of my nails was "crooked", and she did apologized but didn't remove it. The polish used was very old and their styles for design are just as old. This is not my normal nail shop & only went due to receiving a gift certificate for my bday. Will not be back again! I also took my daughter for her 1st "professional" pedicure ever. Even telling them that this was her first time, they did nothing to make her feel "special" & even treated like a regular veteran. The staff did not explain how to hold her feet or how to work the nail dryer. They are definitely not as clean as im used to and the shop was dated & lower quality of equipment. This nail salon is the worse place ever!!! I usually go to a nail salon in Carmel but I needed my nails fixed really quick. Worse mistake ever. They have terrible customer service. It took them an hour and 20 mins just to paint my nails w gel. I asked if he could put a tip on one of my nails, & I'm not lying when I say this, it literally looked lopsided. They open at 9:30 on Saturday which is awesome considering most shops open at 10:00 on Saturday's. I got right in ( I arrived at 9:45). It took a hour just for a simple gel manicure. But the worst thing was Harry ground my ring fingernail down until it actually bled in two places (close to the cuticle). I asked for information on where to file a complaint. Today I went to Pretty Nails Salon located in 5036 W Pike Plaza Rd ,Indianapolis. It was going to be my 1st pedicure since my foot surgery. If you know me, then you know how I feel about germs and impurities. You know I watch every service person like a hawk to make sure they provide great service. I watched lady who was going to do my toes as she rinsed off her tools, dried them, and brought them over to my chair. I told her that this was my first pedicure since my surgery. I showed her my scar and told her it was still a little sensitive. I asked her if she could use new or sanitized tools. She was offended and told me she had just washed them. I told her that I saw her rinse and dry them but that was not good enough. She told me she would not do my pedi because I was trouble. No hunti! The lady that did my nails did an okay job it was really rushed. Nails were really thick. For $30 I could have gotten much better but it was just okay. The one-star is because I was sitting getting my nails done another lady was getting her nails done by a man. She said she'd wanted American nails. I heard the lady asked why all of her nails were White when she'd asked for American nails. It was thin uneven coats, polish was on the sides and back of my fingers and toes. I returned to the salon and received accusations that I messed up my own polish.
