This review is just for the grooming portion…read more They were able to get my 4 year old, 65lbs, shaggy labradoodle in within 2 days of me calling for a groom. We asked for a total shave down/summer cut, and she looked wonderful after!! No spots were missed and she came out very happy. The groomer checked her in and was there for pick up. It took the typical 4 hours. I usually go to Petco or Petsmart because of cost, but when we moved to TX I wanted to try somewhere else. The cost was the same but the groomer took her time to get the knots out between her toes and shave her legs evenly...which wasn't the case at Petco/Petsmart. Also her super hairy doodle ears were plucked all the way. Plus! They got her in sooner. Usually for the bigger retail places it's a week or more out. For large dogs they do not express anal glands, just fyi. Wasn't a deal breaker for me. All the dogs coming in for daycare were super cute and excited! It makes we want to try it out. :)

They said she was tangled to where the only option was to shave her. I say they didn't wash her properly. She wasn't tangled until they got ahold of her and it went bad from there. In the past I had her fur get tangled during washing and you just need to brush and brush as your drying. I believe it was the conditioner that was the culprit. I figured a professional would be able to either fix or not let it happen. she had been there several times with good success but they really messed her up. I wouldn't bring any long hair dog to them. They had the audacity to say that I wasn't brushing her with the correct brush. I know she went in a big pile of fluff and came out a shaved dog. What a bad experience.

Three some of the staff seems to have no regard for animal safety or cleanliness, I have pick up my dog a few time with them covered in urine. My pet has also left with the same amount of food that I brought in. The building is falling apart it smells like someone smoked in every room I constantly heard them talking bad about customers. It's safe to say I will never bring my dog here ever again and if you plan on doing so please keep everything I have said in your mind

Today I called when the store opened to ask if I could bring my puppy in this afternoon to have her…read morenails clipped. The lady said yes and be sure I bring the puppy's rabies vaccination. I told her the puppy is only eight weeks old. The lady said, the state of Texas requires dogs to be vaccinated at four months, so just bring her other vaccination records . At 2 PM, I brought my puppy in with her required records through the grooming door. I explained to the lady grooming closest to the entrance that I needed the puppies nails clipped. She immediately said, "did you bring the rabies vaccination record?" I said no, she is only eight weeks old. This Petsmart representative immediately in a stern voice said, the state of Texas requires that your dog have a rabies vaccination. I replied, I called this morning and Was told about that requirement, she said the dog had to be four months for the rabies vaccine. My puppy is only eight weeks old and I have brought her other vaccination records. The Petsmart representative immediately said I wonder who that was? She went on three more times talking about the state of Texas and how I had to have the rabies vaccine with me while I'm repeatedly saying the puppy is eight weeks old. Finally I said the puppy is two months old! It was evident, that this Texas rabies vaccine was quite the deterrent against getting more business for grooming department. At that point PetSmart representative immediately said, "Well, it's an hour wait! " at first I said I would wait and I walked around the store thinking about how I was treated and decided not to put myself through that again. I bought nail clippers and took them home to clip my puppies nails. This PetSmart representative had accomplished her mission, which was to deter walk-in business to the grooming department. For today, she was the face of Petsmart and that face was ugly.
