The technician came, stayed for 15 minutes or so and simply told me the whole system needs replacement. His diagnostic didn't provide voltages test, whether the indoor motor fan or control board needed replacement. All he wrote was that he was unable to take measurement and that it 'looks' like there are multiple problems. Trying to sell me a new system that's twice what I paid 10 years ago. I regret ever calling them!

I called JCD to tell them and said that as they had just been there I shouldn't have to pay for the residential call again. They refused and said that it was probably a 'different' problem than the one they had repaired. I was not willing to spend another $400. on a company that would not guarantee their repairs, especially after only a week. I think this company overcharges and is dishonest. Stay away from them at all costs.

Just two days after the technician's visit, the unit stopped producing cold air, and ice started forming inside, right before an intense heatwave. According to my partner, who has worked in the HVAC industry for over ten years, it is highly likely that a refrigerant leak was caused during the maintenance, probably unintentionally. Emails and phone calls from both myself and my landlord have gone unanswered to this day. I hope this review helps highlight the potential lack of professionalism you may encounter with this company.
