Delicious drinks!
Stacey P.

Utterly fantastic! We popped into here on a whim looking for a quick appetizer and a couple drinks before our dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant. We hadn't eaten all day and also had been awake for an incredible length of time so we just wanted somewhere to go. Will admit that I did not initially realize it was an Italian restaurant. I judged the restaurant based on the stain glass windows that said bar. I would realize later that many buildings are repurposed and the traces of the old building are not entirely wiped away. We were greeted promptly and warmly and seated. I had the bruschetta and honestly it was some of the best I have ever had. It was so flavorful and fresh! I had two glasses of Aperol Spritz and was very pleased with how refreshing it was! I was extremely happy with the whole experience!

Pizza was ok. Crust was a little weird. Chicken risotto was very aldente, but had good flavor. It needed some lemon juice. Service was slow.

The prosciutto (crudo) and funghi pizza. Very nice.

I'm a pizza lover and their pizza was near perfect. Good dough and cheese which is hard to find outside Italy. Only bad point is the small-ish menu. Slightly pricey, but definitely worth it.

Vesuvio, V.I.Pizza style

They have a very good menu with many tasty-sounding dishes. Took me some time to even decide what I'm goong to eat. ;) I ended up ordering the Vesuvio pizza, V.I.Pizza style. Quite delicious. All ingredients seem to be fresh. The staff was friendly and the food got prepared pretty fast - but maybe that's just due to the fact that I was there in the afternoon when it was quite empty.

Excellent Calzone !

Stumbled upon this place while on our way to an event in Hyde Park, would happily return if we're ever in the area. Service was slightly lacking, but it's a smaller place and they had a large work Xmas party that was keeping the servers very busy. Food and wine were excellent, reasonably priced, and arrived at our table much quicker than expected. Atmosphere was pleasant and we didn't know this was a chain until the wife was looking something up online after the meal. Had a bit of trouble trying to use their handheld card reader to pay the bill, but it finally worked after about 7 tries. 4 stars. Would return

We got special pizza with mozzarella and tomatoes. We also had an order of ravioli. Both were very good. I really liked my pizza crust. My only problem is that it got soggy because of the tomatoes. I would try a different one next time. Ravioli were really good and the service was great. The decor inside is pretty cool.

My family had two great meals at Prezzo. All the dishes were great! Make sure you have the sticky toffee pudding. Outstanding.

The Caesar salad was great, the mushroom risotto was hot with fresh greens, and the truffle fries were yummy.

Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole meal feel easy and relaxed without being too formal. Food wise, everything was really good. I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was cooked perfectly. Simple dish, but when it's done right, it really hits. The drinks were also great and ended up being the perfect start before walking around the neighborhood afterward. Overall, just a really solid Italian spot in a beautiful part of London.

The hostesses were nice but spunky, taking no crap whatsoever. Our waitress was very nice. We had a stop and chat with her midway through the meal. There was a variety of wines at a variety of price points. The primitivo got the job done. The restaurant presented an excellent bread basket to start. It was delicious- a great contrast to the notoriously bland bread that we recently had in Florence. We shared an order or grilled asparagus to start, in a somewhat futile attempt to be healthy. It was pretty good, but there were a lot more interesting choices at the top of the menu. My wife had the tortellaci with ricotta and spinach. It was very good but was sitting in a pool of butter. I had tagliatelle Bolognese. It was good. Very nice space with very good food. Keep the outdoor seating in mind for a nice day.

My husband and I stumbled (quite literally) into Bocconcino after hitting a wall of jet lag and…read morehunger. The hostess took pity on us and allowed us spots at the bar without reservations. The bartender was absolutely charming and amazing, and he made a truly outstanding Ramos Gin Fizz (a cocktail from New Orleans that few people know how to make, and even fewer want to make). Not sure how that cocktail came up, but he seriously deserves a round of applause for making not one, but two. He truly revived my soul! I split the gazpacho and short rib pasta with my husband. The short rib pasta was magically both light and hearty; it was exactly what we needed after 18 hours of travel. We frequently travel, and I am highly skeptical of Italian food when outside of Italy. Bocconcino was an authentic experience that rivals many of our meals in Rome. Maybe it was jet lag, but I did almost lock myself into the water closet and luckily after a few minutes manage to unlock the stall door without calling for assurance. I suggest visiting with a friend for gossip and security! As far as ambiance, there was great people watching with the Saturday evening patrons; it was an experience in learning about London 'going out' fashion, and watching the very attractive staff interact with customers was a prime education in upper class customer service/flirting. My parting comment is that the bartender stole my heart and I hope to have another of his delicious beverages on a future trip!
