The…read moremechanic looks the car over calls me to say the one bolt broke and he may need some extra time to get it off. I say sounds ok. I come to pick up my car and the bill is for $800. I ask why and the lady says we didnt even charge you the full price for the extra time it took to get the rusty bolt off. Anyways I paid and drove off. car still seemed loud i look under the car and the exhaust pipe is dangling from near the rear muffler. I look under the hood and my exhaust manifold heat shield is also missing. This guy couldnt bother to tell me the exhaust pipe also needed a weld. It gets even better the work he did didnt even last a month. Car now sounds worse then when I gave it to him except now hes broken my manifold bolts, destroyed my heat shield and charged me $800 for the work. Dont be fooled by him calling you multiple times to tell you what hes doing...hes actually just making sure he informs you he will be charging extra. If you want a mechanic who will just do the bare minimum work on your car that it needs this guy can do it and will be ok to use your parts. If you want a mechanic who will look your car over as a courtesy and let you know what else is an obvious problem and build a long term relationship with you then this is NOT the place you are looking for. After retrieving my car from a…read moreMercedes repair shop in Camden, DE I immediately began to hear this squeaking noise coming from my front driver tire. Take note I never heard this sound prior to this visit. I contacted the shop in Camden, DE and asked what happened to my tire, because I didn't have this problem prior to their service? I was told to bring it back and of course the owners gave me a whole bunch of bull and I would need another repair totally unrelated to the last $1,600 I just had paid for service. Fast forward - the same tire began to lose air, so I took it to the Mercedes dealer in Wilmington, DE. I was told the whole rim and tire had to be replaced. After paying $1,700 to them I drove the car home and immediately all these messages began showing up on the console and the car was hard to steer. I called Wilmington Mercedes to let them know and said, "The tire sensors need to be checked." The associate said, bring it back in and we'll take a look. Well, a whole day went by, and I hadn't heard from the guy I had been dealing with. So, I finally decided to call to find out what was going on. I spoke to Brad who said, "Oh I was the who took care of your diagnostic today. And it's not that bad. It's your ESP sensor, it has to be replaced and it's going to cost you $3,000." I let Mr. Brad know that his services where no longer needed and I went to retrieve my car. I stumbled upon Mr. Tire Auto service a few days later - and Mr. Robert greeted me with a welcoming hello and smile. Approx. 40 min later I was told Mrs.R there is nothing wrong with your sensors and there's no charge. When I got back in my car all the messages were gone and the car has been functioning beautifully!!!! It appears that after Wilmington Mercedes changed the tire they did not clear the codes in hopes I would be foolish enough not to know what the real deal was. Shame on them! I already knew what was going on. Another mechanic in the past had already told me about clearing codes and tire sensors. I can't express how grateful and thankful I am for Mr. Tire's honesty!!!!! All I can say is people do your homework. Educate yourself by reading your car manuals, review videos and pray that God places you in the paths of honest people who stand on integrity!!! Mr. Tire of Camden you have a forever customer here. And when we need tires and services not only for our vehicles along with our two 18 wheelers tractor trailers you got our business!!! If the repair is something that is too big for a one man operation,, they will let you know. They are honest, kind people, who will work with you. Not every mechanic can work efficiently on a Mercedes, and I will never take my baby to a mechanic who is not a Mercedes Benz mechanic! From the minute I walked in, I could see this was a serious shop! They put all my info in their system and the computer will automatically send me a text when it's time for service and it calbrates it's notifications when it understands it's waiting too long or not long enough It learns to adjust. Work I needed was carefully explained especially when there is a cheaper route that they didn't recommend, and I was explained why the more expensive route was best and offered ways to complete the work over time, at my own pace if I didn't want to spend that much at once. I don't know much about rotors and even after just 1 visit, I had no doubt that what he was recommending was for value over cost and without hesitation, I went with their recommendations. That is what Ilike best! service is fast, and they are all super friendly and courteous and the prices are correct.

In October of 2025 I brought my 2016 Hyundai Tucson to the Dover, DE location for a set of brakes…read moreand rotors (I can't remember if it was front or back at this point it's been so long) and four new tires. I paid $1600 for the service. About a week later, the front tire on the passenger side falls off my car (due to improperly installed lug nuts) while it's in motion. This caused extensive damage that ended up totaling my car. The company accepted full liability, but once they learned that the damage would cost more to fix than the value of my car, they were no longer willing to fix it. The claims department offered a settlement for what they deemed to be the value of the car. Although, I was financing the vehicle, so I could not accept it. Aside from the eventual conclusion of the car being deemed a total loss, I had to deal with a tow truck driver threatening to impound my car due to not being paid by Firestone. I also had to deal with Enterprise Rental Car threatening to charge my debit card since they hadn't been paid either. Both situations took emotional distress and anger on my part to resolve. The accident happened in October of 2025 and my car wasn't fully evaluated and totaled out until February of 2026. This was a long, drawn out, tragedy that I was made to pay out of pocket for due to the circumstances. Go ANYWHERE else!

My wife received a phone call telling her that she needed new tires. She told the shop employee that he would have to discuss it with me. He then tried to sell me new tires. He said that they were down to the wear indicator. I told him that I would check the condition of the tires and purchase some when needed. I would shop around for the best value. He interrupted me and said, "WE HAVE TIRES HERE." Duh!!! The name Firestone Tires would have given me that clue!!) My response was "I know, but I will shop around," and I thanked him for the advice. He then said, "NEVER MIND" and hung up the phone. He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!!!! When we picked up the car, the invoice said, "THE CUSTOMER DECLINED TO EVEN TALK ABOUT PRICING OF TIRES." He needs to understand that I wasn't obligated to discuss pricing. We discussed the need for tires, and I told him that I would shop around if I needed some. I was going to give them a good rating, based on the completion of the oil change, but downgraded it to 1 star based on the unprofessional employee behavior. Brian needs more training!!!! I dislike dishonesty.

My significant other and my son have also had their vehicles worked on there. Keith can fix almost anything, but if he can't, he's very honest and up front with you. I would highly recommend him!
