Management and cashiers seem to get a joy out of being rude to customers. Almost as if they get a thrill out of pretending not to see you in line, or being able to tell you no. I discovered this place on Thanksgiving when publix was closed. I had driven by but never came in.. boy was I glad they were open 24 hours! This is my go to now and the bomb!!! Much better prices than publix on a lot of things including meats. It's clean, the staff is super friendly and you can get most things you need right here. It's a one stop shop and you can surely get in and out with no problem. They also have a deli where you can buy food pre made and it is all very good and not expensive at all. read more

Ok people, THIS is a true story. My first experience at this price choice....I went in to buy bread for dinner. As I was standing in the express lane, a homeless man came up from behind to buy something to eat. Out of nowhere, the security guard walked up to the poor homeless man and lysol'd him!! lysol!!! i was so upset that i vowed not to go back, and then at dinner i tried the delicious bread from their little bakery and realized my moral back bone wasn't really that strong as i have been back repeatedly for this bread. Recently, I was having friends over for dinner and without a publix for miles had to pick up a couple of ingredients at this market. To my suprise, it isn't half bad!! produce section even has fresh leeks. there is a LARGE variety of ethnic foods, a whole aisle of mexican ingredients, a half aisle of standard asian stuff and a lot of caribbean seasonings i can't wait to experiment with. all in all i am more and more impressed with this little market. oh, just so we're clear i am YET to be lysol'd myself. read more

I love this place! Great selections (for a smaller store). Produce is fresh. Employees are nice. Don't forget the prices are a much lower than Publix! I live in a condo 2 blocks away and I come here 2-3 days a week. I really like this place and love that it's open 24 hr and they have a security guard and it always feels safe. My only negative is the parking lot. It's hard to find parking and the design is really bad. read more

I arrived at this store early this morning (4/18/18) at around 5:45 a.m. The sign on the store said "24 hours". I walked in and stood in front of the counter. Two employees were literally less that four feet away from me on the other side of the counter. Both employees stood there and continued to ignore me. I was amazed that I was being ignored because they were so close. Clearly I wanted to order something. It's not possible they didn't notice me and it's not possible they didn't know why I was standing there. One employee walked right past me and didn't acknowledge me or ask if she could help me with anything. The other employee was working preparing the bread directly in front me and refused to acknowledge me, look at me, or ask me if I needed anything. I guess preparing his bread was more important than serving customers. After 5 minutes of standing there with my arms folded (and they are still standing directly in front of me by the way), I finally asked the lady (less than four feet away from me on the other side of the counter) if she could take my order. She lifted her head and said they don't open until 6 a.m. and she went back to ignoring me. I saw no signs that were not open until 6:00 a.m. and they already had a lot food prepared. And if there is a sign, it doesn't matter. Either employee could have easily acknowledged me and asked how they could help or serve me. This is the terrible customer service that is indicative of Miami. I don't need a call or email from the manager or a coupon for anything. People should know the service they could potentially receive when walking into this store. I will not be back. Publix is one block around the corner and I will gladly pay a little more for the great customer service I receive from Publix instead. Never again..... read more

This store has been getting better lately. I used to only shop for veggies here bc it's walking distance from my home and cheaper than Publix but now I've been able to find some specialty items like olive oil And specialty tuna that I was forced to go find at more pricey stores. The staff members are all nice and respectful and whenever I request to have some produce item cut in half they accommodate so that's nice. I can't give it 5 stars just bc I once bought a whole chicken from the hot area and it was disgusting. Pretty dry and it tasted old, not fresh. read more

I've enjoyed shopping at Price Choice in the past, and I've been a loyal customer, but that all changed when I was forced to leave because I was accompanied by my service animal. My service dog was behaving perfectly and not causing any trouble. Apparently Price Choice is unaware that it is 100% illegal to not allow patrons in the store with a service animal. I was asked to provide a service dog tag from the staff, however, according to the American's with Disabilities Act, staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task. I phoned the store after being forced to leave, and calmly informed the manager that what he did was illegal and I informed him to read up on the laws pertaining to service animals. He promptly hung up on me. I called back and a different employee answered and asked that I call back tomorrow morning. No, I will not continue to call back. I went here today, thinking it would be a quick experience. I needed some cold cuts, and got in line. The attendant finished helping the guy in front of me, but not before his friend walked in. When he was done, he skipped me and helped her. Why would you go to this place, when you have a Publix 30 yds away? It's better quality products, service and even cleanliness. You'd go to this place for its name "Price" but you get what you pay for. read more

I have decided to make Price Choice my first choice (yes, ha ha) in super markets, in an effort to support the smaller guy. I came here at the suggestion of a few friends who told me that the prices were better than you know who... and I was so impressed with the place! Inside is super nice, the produce super fresh, customer service is very good. I needed chestnuts, couldn't find them, and had three people searching for me, for about 10 minutes. One guy found them and brought them to me when I was on the other side of the store. My only gripe was that last weekend they didn't have my large container of Greek yogurt, so I had to go back to you know who. Best thing about this place is that its right in front of Miami's City Cemetery - could buy your food and walk across the street for a picnic! read more

The produce section is in much better shape than nearby competitors (the Publix north on Biscayne). Vegetables and fruits aren't rotting under layers of shrink wrap and the prices are comparable and often lower. Haven't explored the meat or frozen sections much. Staples are well represented (4 brands of dried lentils!). Agree with other reviewers regarding gourmet and "ethnic" food variety. Its a small location and doesn't look modern but inside its working hard to compete. The effort the store makes is better than the ambivalence that comes off of aforementioned northern neighbor. Weird people hanging around in the parking lot. Nearly every time I come home with a cart full of groceries there will be one fresh produce or meat item I discover has started to go bad. So even if you do pay less at the register, you end up with less in your refrigerator or a shorter shelf life for the items you didn't throw out. 24 hr convenience is good if you are a guy. Women? I agree with Cristina O. The bread there is pretty fab - warm and soft on the inside with the perfect amount of hard crustiness on the outside. Mmmmm. True, it's not much to look at on the outside as you tend to see some shady characters hanging out in front. Their prices for meat are pretty decent compared to say, Publix. Their produce section is pretty hit or miss. There have been times where I've seen moldy tomatoes and fruit. Oh, and they seem to have a perpetual sale on Kirin. Can't complain about that. read more

This place is awesome. Low prices on produce like Presidente or Sedanos, but with the selection of Publix. And the staff is super nice and has helped me in both Spanish and English when I need it. I live in Brickell but make the trip on the weekends to grab most of my groceries from here. The only minus I would add is that the bread selection is not that great. read more

This place is horrible. I went there for the first time because they are open 24 hours a day...I'm not going to lie but this supermarket is very sketchy doesn't seem safe because as soon as you walk in there's a security with a gun at the door... like really!!! I bought 2 packs of cheese and when I got home I saw that they were expired. I went the next day to return it and instead of them refunding my money to my credit card the manager charged me again. I told the manager that he charged me instead of refunding me and he was so rude and told me he knows what he was doing. The manager actually didn't know what he was doing because I had to resolve this issue with my credit card company. I'm never coming back here again besides it being ghetto and having a rude staff they sell expired food so be careful when you go shopping here. Publix is a block away! This place is great! It's a much more pleasant experience than going to Publix. Here's why: you can park right up front, no parking garage, 2 level b.s. Their prices are reasonable--in most cases I think better than Publix. Their staff is so friendly--the cashiers at least acknowledge you and the deli people are nice. Also, they have made-to-order fresh-squeezed O.J. and coffees. They have awesome prepared foods and everything I want is always in stock--meat and vegetables. Their wine selection is great and reasonably priced. It's not as crazy-busy as Publix so that's nice too. And, it's only 2 blocks away! True, it's a smaller store, but I can get about 90% of what I need here and it's a huge time/money saver. Plus, it's really nice and clean inside and the parking lot is really brightly lit. I remember it didn't use to be as nice here, so they must've remodeled or be under new ownership. Keep up the good work! read more

On September 12th, 2018 I had purchased $97.14 worth of groceries. On September 13th, 2018 at approximately 9:30pm decided to exchange three items that I was not satisfied with, which totaled $3.49, $4.19, and $8.09 respectively. All three products were opened to see if I would be interested in using them, and I was not satisfied with them so I decided to exchange them for items that I needed, the next day after purchase. When I gathered my items in store to exchange for the items I did not like, the manager there at the time, who was a male of African descent since I did not receive his name, started to become extremely irate and make a scene about me trying to exchange items that I did not like because they were open. He accused me of "using what I needed from the items and returning them" which was an unfounded and incorrect accusation. Again, I was there to exchange items, not to return the items for cash. Upon trying to clarify the reason as to why I was exchanging, he continued to berate me about "using what I needed from the items and returning them", escalating continually, even telling other employees and patrons of the store what is going on. I was about to leave, but the ultimate turning point was when he took out his phone to take pictures of the receipt that has my purchase information, of the I tems I tried to exchange, and tried taking pictures of me, saying that he was going to "put them on Facebook" at this point I was being harassed in his attempt to publicly shame me for trying to exchange items. He even followed me out to my car, (which I was terrified about and then called the police about) where he started taking pictures of my car and license plate. I had told him multiple times that I did not consent to have my picture taken, or pictures of my car and license plate, as to which I got berated by him continually. Unless you speak Spanish this is not the place for you. I've bought groceries here twice, the milk went bad before the date and the veggies went bad in two days. When I was sifting through tomatoes in the store they were covered in bugs. Today was my first visit to this store. I must confess that walking to it was kind of weird. I did not feel secure. It was already dark so maybe that made it worst. Anyway, I gave it a 5 star because once in, I felt it was a very nice though small store but this was no problem as I went to every aisle easily. I was advised to check the expiration date of everything prior getting there but confess I found no expired article. I consider it to have a great variety to whatever your needs are. Employes where very friendly and helped me every time I needed help finding an article. My five stars are because I became low on cash and really stretched the available money. Thumbs up for them and let's all support this family owned business. This way they can keep offering great discounts. The lunch area seemed attractive as well as the food. I did not try them this time. I can say that I will definitely go back and purchase whatever I need here. I dislike people that think they are better than others less fortunate. Comments of them left here just makes want to remind them that if they feel greater than others they should just go to the expensive stores. This way I will have more space inside the store and will be able to fill my cart faster. Good job, Price Choice! read more
