Pride Plumbing made a mistake on my bill. Service manager told me I would receive a refund of $538.41 over two weeks ago. I have not received this refund. I do not believe the company is going to refund my money. How does a company figure the bill wrong; state they are going to give you a refund check; and does not follow through refunding your overpayment? I had a lot of faith in them for many years, not anymore. I have never had a company treat me in this manner. read more

DO NOT HIRE PRIDE PLUMBING. I had Pride come out last friday because of a clogged toilet and water backing up into my tub. First the technician spent 2 hrs outside claiming that he could fix the problem that way. When that didn't work, he then had to do a much more expensive job where he removed the toilet and tried pumping from inside. that worked for a few days however the exact same issues happened just a few days later. Now, I was told that the job was under warranty and that if we had ANY issues to call them back and they would fix them right away. I called, and was immediately told we'd be charged again. Apparently, only the resetting of the toilet was under warranty. According to the man I spoke to (Steve) "anyone could just throw something in the toilet and clog it up again" My wife and I live alone with no children. No one threw anything in the toilet other than tissue and waste. Once again, do not hire Pride Plumbing unless you want to be lied to, and have the exact same issues pop up again in a few days, where they will try to charge you again. read more

I read reviews but I should have read yelp. A main line water replacement turned into 5 months of drama. They cut a water line to my water hose. They forgot to schedule the original repair appointment. They broke the lid to my septic tank. All of this and the lady in the office kept hounding me for payment. You don't get paid until the job is done to my satisfaction. Horrible. The only good thing about this company are the people that work in the dirt. They are so nice. They can't help they way the company is run. read more

They charge $89.00 to come out and give you multiple quotes that only an insane person would allow. They quoted my wife $700.00 to change a flapper in one toilet and a handle in another toilet. I bought the parts for $20.00 and changed them in 20 minutes. I don't know how these people sleep at night. Never call these people unless you want to be taken advantage of!!! read more

Sloppy work. never repaired damage to the lawn from running a mini excavator all over it. They were supposed to put shutoffs on each fixture and they did not. Had to come back to reinstall expansion tank they had flopping back and forth on hot water heater. First of all I hate saying what I am saying but the public must know. If you want professional work do NOT come to Pride plumbing as they have no pride- coming from a USMC Veteran. This company, everyone that I have encountered, are selfish and neglect to believe they can make mistakes. Including the owner himself. They think my family and I are naive because we are in our early 20s, which is not the case. My family and I have owned my property for over 7 years and not once has water entered our FULL CONCRETE, THICK basement. I went to my basement about 4 months after there work to find black, moldy, category 3 sewage water in my basement. (My basement is used for only storage for my mother in laws belongings, no reason for me to enter it) everything inside was trashed. They charged us to come look at it, blamed it on whatever they could so they wouldn't have to pay for it. They told me they can fix for $2000+. They changed invoice documentations to favor themselves, they buried my sewage drain over a week after the inspector came, lied to me when I called about it, and said the inspection has not taken place that it sometimes takes 3-4 business days. They buried my sewage drain with a FAILED inspection, and have not corrected it. I have a 2 year warranty and it took over a month to get them to re grade my yard, and they used sand that will just wash away when it rains. There is so much wrong with how this company works and I recommend you listen to my advice and go elsewhere as they have no respect for anyone who is not in there group. We have had another company take a look and just waiting for there paperwork and then everything else will be dealt with but I just wanted everyone who is thinking about using this company to see what kind of work they do. One day my toilet wasn't working at all. I had two, but I wanted this one to work. This company was recommended by the landlord of the last plumber to come to my house, who wouldn't respond the next time I needed him. Also, they had an ad which said $10 off if you mention the ad. That's the first thing I did when I called. The man came relatively quickly. $69 if he did nothing, over $200 if he did a repair not guaranteed to work, $500 for a complete replacement. Okay, I'll take the guarantee. Now I will say this toilet worked very well. But here's where my problems were. The man carries the old toilet, which was already old 30 years earlier. So he has to put it down. How fortunate I had newspapers on the carpet. couldn't here have been a better way? I cleaned my kitchen floor really well in addition to throwing out those newspapers. Oh, and guess what? Given all the disgusting work he's been doing, he now expects me to pay him. Right away. So I start trying to figure out what to do. There' no way he's handling my credit card. He won't leave. I tell him he's not waiting around inside my house while I figure this out, so he goes out to the truck. I call the place and I am told I can give her the credit card number and she will take care of everything. Problem: I forgot to ask for that $10 off, which was the first thing I mentioned when I first called. After paying the bill, I go out to the truck and he asks if I'm ready to pay him. Don't need to. It's all done. She didn't tell him? Oh, well. It's only later I realize I didn't get that $10 off. And getting that turned out to be a nightmare. See, I gave them my physical address, but I get mail at the post office. But guess where they sent the refund? Months pass, numerous calls, and I finally get my $10. What happens when I need them again? I am told they can't come to my house because of the problem they had getting paid. read more

We have a problem with roots getting into the sewer line. Pride plumbing came out last week, and used a high pressure hose to clean out the line, but did nothing to really clear out the roots. Plumbing backed up the next day, and they returned, still did nothing to remove the roots and he left the cap off the overflow so the plumbing in the house wouldn't back up. Now there is RAW SEWAGE in the front yard. They charged $800 for this. Never, ever call these people if you need any kind of work done. read more

Crazy, beyond insanely HIGH prices. Of several alternatives, repairman said there was only one and that turned out to be the most expensive and caused the most damage to the house that they would not repair. Lack of knowledge or was he trained to go for the biggest profit??? Wanted to charge $150 to cut a hole in my sheetrock that would have taken 1 to 2 minutes at most but still proven nothing and served no purpose. When I said that I would cut it if ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, while he was gone to get his tools, he said I would still be charged the $150. WHAT??? Why damage my property when a snake run through an accessible pipe would have worked?? Answer, because they wouldn't have made maximum profit. After telling him that I didn't want his services, he wanted to stand there and argue with me about why I should let him do the work and how great the company was and how long they had been in business. More of a sales comapny than a repair service. Repairmen must work for commissions When a repairman comes to your door with an iPad instead of his tools, that should be a clear indication that you are about to be robbed. read more

What I asked for was simply to do the plumbing portion of a water softener install. I am capable of doing most of the steps, I just wanted someone to solder the copper pipe joints and connect the PEX. Instead what I got were 3 options, including replacement of all 1st floor water lines(!), complete install of the softener with a service contract, or complete install of the softener with 1 year warranty. Oh, and an offer to send back my softener and get on their water treatment system. At the very end I asked a second time to simply quote on doing the plumbing joints I originally requested on the phone. They were not willing to provide that. Everyone is very polite, but they don't listen very well to customers. So they got the $60 for showing up, but I won't be calling them again. read more

Last weekend I noticed a water stain on my living room ceiling, I immediately ran upstairs to see if I could locate the problem. I did, it was the toilet in our gust bathroom. After an inspection of the tank seal, water valve and line I quickly determined I had a wax seal that had deteriorated over time. I called the folks at Pride Plumbing and explained the issue in detail and what I felt needed to be done to resolve the problem (simply change the $5 wax ring!). I was at work when my wife called to inform me that the plumbers had arrived and fixed the problem in a little less than an hour (which was primarily spent looking at my low boy water heater under the house and trying to sell her on a service plan as well as a new toilet). When I asked her how much the bill was she replied "$227". I was speechless! I called the folks at Pride to get an itemized bill, $59 service call to diagnose the issue and $169 to remove the toilet, replace the wax ring and reinstall. I then asked if they would reconsider the bill and they offered a 10% discount which was a kind but somewhat insulting gesture. On a positive, my wife mentioned that the plumber was well dressed, clean cut, and well spoken (this is the logic behind the 1 star I did give Pride). I've called numerous plumbers in the area for quotes earlier today and received prices that ranged anywhere from $75 to $125 on the high side. Do yourself a favor and call around before hiring these folks their pricing IS NOT COMPETETIVE. read more
