I really love this place as my go to Salon. Nice people quiet atmosphere and excellent pedicures.

This is a family owned shop where a mother-daughter duo started it so the daughter could go to school. The daughter is shy but VERY nice! The mother is usually the one who greets customers when they walk in the door. I have heard her ask "What do you want", and unfortunately I'm afraid customers take that phrase the wrong way. She really is there to help. Since it's a small operation, sometimes you need to wait just a bit to get taken care of, but it's worth it. They don't really take appointments, and I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes for a mani/pedi. This is the best deal around: $25 for mani/pedi. They do a nice job and there's something great about knowing that you're helping a mother-daughter salon stay in business for a good cause. I tell all my friends to give them a try - they do, and they have all had positive experiences as well. I hope that "Mrs. B" who wrote a review will give them another chance. They really are trying their best and from my experience, are doing a fine job. read more

Under new management and loving it. Hands down (no pun intended) the new "it" nail salon in Wheaton. Right when you walk in you are greeted by the most amazing selection of nail polishes - ESIE & OPI only. The interior is well done as well, I especially like the art work on free standing easels. And you will love the mother / daughter duo - very professional & welcoming. Grace, the daughter, gives the most amazing massages as well. I sometimes go just for the massage :-). You can't beat the price either. Just $29 bucks for a mani / pedi. And they also host girls night out events on the premise, just BYOB and the salon is yours (mani's with your girlfriends sprinkled with some cocktails - love it). I went to remove my gel nail polish and it did not go well. I do it myself and have had success every other time I've done it, so I don't know what was done differently from the other places I visited. All I know is that it would not come off. I ended up having to cut my nails short because the polish on the tips of my fingers would NOT come off. I was using professional grade remover with the foil, just like they do at the salon! So while the polish looked great, the fact that I couldn't get it all off is a problem. It takes me a long time to grow out my nails and I was not happy that I had to cut them. Why is it so hard to find a GREAT nail place? Things they have going for them: -Fast in and out. -Lots of polish, standard (good) brands. -Cheap. I got a manicure (hand massage included) for 14 bucks. Reasons I won't go back: -Whatever liquid they put the orange stick and cuticle clippers into had skin crud hanging out on the bottom. I don't care if it's "clean", it gave me the heeby jeebies. -The little hand shelf with built-in uv lights was disgustingly sticky and didn't seem like it had been wiped clean in a while... -My polish lasted all of 4 days. I was here the second to third week in September and i did not have a great experience. The place looks clean when u walk in and has nice decorated chairs but the ladies couldn't speak English that well like other salons can. I had a French manicure done and brought a friend just to check it out. Turns out only 2 people work there and only 1 of them could do it. Besides that they did not use an electric file tool, they filed my nails by hand. Something wasn't right because i had air bubbles in my nails right away and my nails where thicker than expected. My friend said that the Nailpolish she had on was not properly dried and it was a little off in quality of work. They told her she was done too early so she messed up her own nails listening to them. This is my favorite place to get my nails done when I am back home in the burbs. Pros: - The space is very clean and modern looking. Interior is cozy and cute with paintings hanging all around. It kind of feels like a spa without spending so much! - P&P uses my favorite type of products - Essie, OPI, CND, and Shellac. You definitely can't go wrong with these! - One of my pet peeve is sanitation and I love how they use UV sanitizing system. It's disgusting how some places don't clean their equipment properly. - Service is great. The girl that was working on me was very polite and didn't talk too much (I don't like it when manicurists get chatty and ask personal things because when I am getting a mani/pedi, it usually means ME time). - Mani/pedi is $33. Not terrible considering the polish stays on for two+ weeks! AMAZING! You can also ask for no chip polish. Cons: - I guess my biggest concern is the wait which is usually 15minutes. Okay maybe 15 minutes isn't too bad but I have no patience sometimes :) Definitely check this place out! It will become your go to place to get your mani/pedi and some "me" time. read more

went here to get a mani/pedi - I was going on my honeymoon 10 years later then expected so I was so excited to get all fancy before going and hopefully to have a cute design done... NOT GONNA HAPPEN HERE! I was led to a chair by a shy girl who didn't even have me pick a color 1st, didn't tell me her name, didn't speak during the extremely long pedicure then when it was time to polish she had to bring me an array of colors since she didn't have me grab one - so I picked a color I didn't really like b/c I was tired of the back and forth - she started polishing no top coat then realized she forgot the base coat after being barked at so then she put it on the toes that hadn't been painted yet, it took soooo long that I had to stop the service not able to stay to get the manicure and my toes were so gooped with polish I went to the counter where another lady was and said I'm not paying for this - she looked at my feet yelled at the girl and then said I could come back the next day and she would fix it, well I left not paying and never went back. Nothing Prim or Polished about this place. read more

I was greeted by an uninterested employee who asked "what do you want"? I told her I had an appointment and she nodded in response and made no effort to tell me where to sit or how long I would need to wait. I was seated minutes later at a nail station covered with visible nail clippings. The manicurist was nice. I had a no chip manicure. The product they used (Cacee) was much lower quality than other no Chips I have had. Half way thru my mani the manicurist started a mani on another person. On top of interrupting my service, she did not wash her hands between clients. I left the salon with smudged bumpy nails because it took over an hour and I had another appointment. I was in here today... It is under new ownership. The two women that I interacted with could not understand my questions. I asked for a mani/pedi upgrading the mani for gel. The normal mani/pedi on a Tuesday is $29. They charged me $55. Now I know that this is my fault for not getting the pricing upfront so I paid. The girl hurt me many times. On my fingers she made me bleed in two spots, one was difficult to stop bleeding. They did not match the gel color to my toe color as I requested. I will not go here again. I hope that I do not get an infection. read more

Went in just for a polish change. No wait and pretty friendly....but not worth the $21. My toes were pretty bad when I walked out: uneven and streaked. I chose a no-chip polish for my finger nails. No UV light in sight. Hmmm. Sure enough, the next day it's a chipped mess. Some of my nails are already missing half the polish...and I didn't do anything to cause them to chip. The place seemed clean enough, but the nail file and buffer looked like they had seen a lot of nails. read more

My favorite place in the Wheaton/Winfield/Carol Stream area to get a good mani pedi- My favorite aspects include that it's a mother/daughter operation, they use Essie and OPI polishes, and best of all, no obnoxious celebrity bashing tv blaring! The owner has wonderful music through the speakers which is relaxing and puts everyone in a good mood. The manicures are with water, and although I prefer a waterless manicure, they are very good- I often bring in pictures of nail art and they are happy to oblige. I have not noticed the workers talking over and around the customers in their native language which has always made me uncomfortable everywhere else. Classy place, clean and tidy! (if I want to be pampered, like at a spa, this is not where I go- but for an excellent everyday mani-pedi, try them!) read more

I finally decided to try this place mainly because it is so close to my house. I was not impressed at all with this place. I asked for a manicure and pedicure. The polish selection was ok but very unorganized. My pedicure was very basic to say the least. I basically got my nails trimmed and polished, the girl did not scrub or spend anytime on my calluses, no massage, and the water was cold. It was strangely quiet and slow for a Saturday afternoon. I should have taken that as a sign. My manicure and was about the same. The same girl the did my pedicure started my manicure. After my nails were prepped a different girl came and polished them, which was a bit odd. The whole experience was awkward and not at all relaxing or welcoming. read more
