He checked on his work again and again, and did not get distracted by conversations going on around him. And when I told him I did not want the gel manicure which destroys one's natural nails, he simply nodded and did not exasperate me with trying to sell more services. Quaint, clean, modern decor, and great genuine service that was reasonably priced. I was looking for a place that could accommodate at least a party of 8. They said that we could have the salon to ourselves, and bring food and drinks too. There ended up being only 5 of us and the staff did not disappoint. They served us water, and asked if we wanted hot tea. We were pampering our girlfriend who has breast cancer and is about to go into surgery. The owner, Tom, asked me which woman it was, and that he wanted to acknowledge her. I found out later that he gave her a gift card to return when she was feeling better. My daughter needed an emergency mani-pedi for a job interview the next day. Based on Yelp reviews, I phoned this salon; they were able to get her right in. I was just going to wait for her, but after some discussion, I was persuaded to have the same done for myself. (Note: I have never had a professional manicure or pedicure: I don't like the way my hands and feet look, so why draw attention to them?) What a delightful surprise! Linda, Tom and Lindsey were more than fully professional and skilled, they were kind and responsive to our needs. And my fears. We left discussing "the next time" we would do this. Found this Nail Spa through Yelp. The reviews don't lie! Was greeted with a friendly face and seated right away. I was indecisive about what colors to get, and browsed pinterest for ideas. My technician said she could do whatever I found that I liked, definitely felt at ease, and excited! I just told her I wanted something dark for fall but also glitter. And something that will last for 3 or more weeks because I'll be on vacation. She recommended doing this ombre glitter with dark plum purple tips underneath. I get dark, i get glitter, and it'll last longer since the glitter won't show any harsh distinct lines when it grows out! Win win win!! I love them. They're the DIP ombre! read more

What an amazing celebration of Tet today! I went in for a deluxe pedicure, and was also treated to homemade spring rolls, egg rolls, a savory dish with rice, mung beans, pork--delicious!--, hot tea and sweets. Plus a chance to win cash. The staff (and kiddos of staff) were all decked out in their best Tet finery. The pedicure was amazing and everyone was having such a wonderful time. Had a great time there with my grandson. He always knows exactly what he wants and asks to go there with Grandma every time he is in town. He always has a lot of questions about different procedures and each is answered and explained very patiently. They did a great job on both of us with our feet and hands. They always do. When I first walked in they offered me a water or juice! I've never had a salon be so accommodating. The staff is soooo friendly, very different from other nail salons I've been to. Paul is amazing!!! The best!!! Go to him. I made an appointment for a 1 hr 45 min fancy nail design, and I was also taking acrylics off. Paul recommended a dip manicure as the best way to go after getting acrylics off. I chose the shade "on vacation" and added some bling. I'm so happy with my nails. read more

I appreciate that they did not try to upsell me, but I do think it would have been nice to have more services such as a bit more of a massage or some more scrubs. It was quite basic and I wasn't offered other options. I was then moved to the manicure table after the pedicure was complete. Like the pedicure, it went by quite quickly. Not that it is necessary, but the staff really made no attempt to have a conversation at all. I'm OK with it, but they could have come across a little friendlier. No one was rude at all, but it just wasn't the warmest environment. As far as the manicure, I liked the color, but the gel dried unevenly with a few bumps here and there which annoyed me. Also it just wasn't quite the length or shape that I requested. All in all, I was glad that they were able to get me in and it was a decent service at a reasonable price. However, I do feel that the services were quite basic and it wasn't the best looking manicure that I've had.
