Suffice it to say the owner contacted me via Yelp, and complained that I had given a bad review, claiming her husband is in IT and so they are unhackable. Riiiijght. But I took a chance and booked an appointment with Sheena. I came half hour before my appointment and she took me in quick. She is very chill and laid back stylist. Her loft is nice and had country-vibes to it. She would tell me what she was going to do and I would ask an array of questions to understand the whole process. I had two balayage processes done before, so I was just curious why her methods were different. The bleaching process took 2.5 hours long and cutting and styling was roughly 30 minutes. She took her time, and did not rush. I highly recommend her! :)

Well...let's try anyway, I'll have Megan proofread it. If anyone knows one thing about me, it's that I give a damn about my hair. It's my greatest asset, aside from my wonderful personality. I've had probably over a dozen hair-stylists and barbers over my lifetime, and none could...really make the cut. I would always take a long look in the mirror when they asked the inevitable "well? How do ya look?!" and hope momma don't hear me lie. But the first time Casey cut my hair, I was quite literally stunned at how awesome I looked. I knew right then and there that she would be my hair stylist as long as she'd have me, and I've never had even a lukewarm experience...or a forgetful one. More on that next paragraph though. For the remainder of this one, I want people to know just how classically and reliably excellent my cuts have been for the last 5 years. I walked into Shuna's Hair studio not knowing what to expect, I was very protective of my hair…read more That being said, I felt the service I received was adequate however not really a slam-dunk like the reviews had led me to believe. My hair looked great, (I had gotten a relaxer) but my nape was severely under-processed and Shuna used a lot of heat to cover up that fact. She also used a lot of unnecessary heat which isn't really good for your hair, whilst not using heat protection serum. This review isn't to make you run from the salon, Shuna is a talented girl, and friends of mine have had better experiences, however if you have coarser hair, you might want to look more into your options.
