The Select Specialty Hospital allegedly never received any discharged orders from the CCF and gave my sister solid food rather than use the feed tube and also never called CCF to find out how to take care of her. This was going on for 4 - 5 days and they were giving her solid food, narcotic pain meds with a diuretic that caused my sister to OD 2X. The staff doesn't listen. This facility should be shut down. Don't take your loved ones there. They will kill them.

When I went to rapid care I specifically asked the young PA whether I had wax in my ear as previously I had an impaction with hearing loss years ago. She said I had minimal wax and my ear was normal. The competent PA at Southwoods insisted I had significant wax and they first tried to flush it then he manually pulled out big clumps out of both ears !! I saw it . My hearing immediately improved also. And they had the nerve to not even help with regard to my flight. Pure incompetence. I am a doctor that has covered hospital Emergency rooms and I was insulted by the care I didn't receive at their center. I shouldn't have to pay them and I expect an apology and a call from the supervising doctor .

This place is the most TERRIBLE hospital EVER!!!! My Mom had a major surgery and they wanted to…read moresend her home with low oxygen levels (dipping into the low to mid 80s) then they got her put on oxygen and her final day in the hospital, she was completely ignored, no one would come to her aide when she used the call button and completely ignored her all day long. They eventually turned her call button completely off no one could call for help. When she was out of surgery, she sat in recovery for over 7 hours and they wouldn't let us see her! She was the first patient in for surgery and the very last to leave at night to go upstairs. They wouldn't even let us back to tell her we were still there and just check in on her! I've never heard of a hospital doing this. They claimed she was sleeping the entire time which we found out later to not be true. When she was sent home, they timed the oxygen delivery so it was dropped off BEFORE she got home and no one would come to show her how to use it. (She's never been on oxygen at home before) We had to scramble and call around to people we knew that have used oxygen for help. Thank God we had a family friend that knew how to use it! They also don't know what a CLEAR diet means. Who gives a patient tomato soup when they're on a CLEAR diet??? The nurses are all pretty much incompetent and useless! She wasn't even given her prescription meds when she was in the hospital! I am glad I no longer live in Youngstown as I would refuse such horrible treatment from the rude, ignorant, incompetent staff at this sad excuse of a hospital! Stay away from this hospital at all costs! They're absolutely horrible and have zero bed side manners!

He is very good and shows genuine care for your visit. I went yesterday for my 6-month blood pressure check-up. It was slightly higher because I of course gained weight over the holidays and have yet to shed it all. I also blame Yelp because it causes me to want to eat at different places more often and throw any hope of a diet aside. Who am I kidding, it's my own fault!. Anyway, he didn't yell or lecture me but he did just explain how to go about getting back on track and gave me a goal to reach so that I could get off of my blood pressure medicine altogether. Our kid doc is Dr. Hayes. She is also a great doc and great with the kids. She was actually my wife's Dr. when she was younger. She too is very caring and takes her time explaining things and answers any question you may have. Just fantastic and the kids love her. Overall, a great place to take care of your medical needs. The front desk staff and nurses are all very friendly. Our nurse Jan is usually the one we deal with and have been for years. I told her yesterday that we were having a girl and she shot me a big smile and threw me a hug too. Just a great office.

Every patient has to buy a stamp and mail their check or credit card info to them, or physically carry it in to the building after getting the bill. It wastes more time than waiting to see the doctor, and there's no excuse for it.
