Care is remarkable by all. The check in is very important and they make sure you feel comfortable,that you're not just a nuisance of their time. Please be very careful with this medical the people decide that they don't like you there or they get mad at you for voice in their opinion they will find any reason to get rid of you. They won't fire you, but they'll it hard on you so you'll resign I know from personal experience. read more

My primary care physician, Dr. David L. Johnson, MD, and his nurses, the staff, and the inimitable Ms. Cindy, are people who deserve all the kudos one can give. This clinic is filled with love. They are not only skilled practitioners, they are caring HUMANS who truly give you the best of themselves, and do it on a daily basis. There are nurse practitioners to be seen and physician assistants as well... no lack of amazing skills to be had in these clinics, no shortage of excellence. They have several locations and "satellite" clinics to make getting to an appointment easier for those with transportation problems who can't make it to the main ones. They have sliding pay scales for those with no insurance or inadequate insurance... and will work with people to make sure they get treatment and are not turned away. PCHC has dieticians, mental health care, and their own pharmacy. I'm sending, along with my elderly Siberian Husky Apollo, a huge hug and pooch smooch to my PCP Dr. David Johnson ( aka DJ Jazzy Doc) for caring for me all these many years, and for loving my dog child as well... I'm just sorry he's too old to bring with me to appointments now. read more

Front office is literally the worst of all the clinics I have ever visited. They always act like you are bothering them when you go up to check in or out and get labs. Their providers are constantly changing. You have to wonder why the providers never stay longer than a year or two. read more

I read Land R's comments on the (supposed) lack of care her boyfriend received from Primary Care and Hope Clinic and I was appalled. I would like to submit this review to share with others the type of treatment I have come to expect from this clinic. I have been a patient at the Hope Clinic for more than three years. If not for the wonderful care I receive from Jennifer McGlothin I'm sure I would not be here writing this review as I was depressed to the point of suicide when I first saw her. I had a setback last week, called the clinic and was able to be scheduled for an appointment within two business days. I am not the easiest person to deal with yet I am (always) treated with a respectful and avcaring attitude every time I am seen. I can also vouch for every Physician's Assistant I've seen. I was particularly attached to (loved) the first PA who first treated me. She moved out of state to marry the man of her dreams and while I was happy for her, I also felt disappointed since I would no longer be her patient. I was quickly paired up with another PA, Jennifer Sullivan, who also renders quality care to me. In fact, I've seen several PAs during the three years I have come to this clinic and I never left with anything less that a favorable opinion. To say the Primary Care and Hope Clinic did not meet someone's satisfaction due to one bad experience is unfair and misguided, in my opinion. We all have bad experiences from time to time but to write a derogatory review based on one visit is unconscionable. This clinic provides a valuable service to those who would not otherwise be able to receive medical care due to finances, lack of medical insurance or due to hardship. I have referred several of my friends and/or acquaintances to this clinic who had nothing but complimentary remarks and gratitude for the services they received. Tomorrow I will see a PA (Felicia Harper), who I have yet to meet. I am confident she will treat me with the same care and respect I have always received from the clinic. I believe I have bronchitis as this is a seasonal and regular occurrence with me. I was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. Where else can you receive medical care so soon after calling in an ailment? There is always a PA available, even when your primary caretaker is unavailable. And, should you need lab work done, no appointment is needed. I thank Primary Care and Hope Clinic for the wonderful care and treatment I have come to expect from this facility. It pained me greatly to read Land R's negative assessment. I hope my review will subvert her unfavorable report and encourage those who need such services to contact this clinic. Even though I am working and have insurance that allows me to see other doctors and PAs, I choose to stay with Hope Clinic because I know I can not get better care anywhere else. read more

do not go here. I called 2 weeks ahead for a visit. i get there and they made me wait 1 hour just to call me up there and say that they cant verify my insurance. i showed them my insurance ID card and they STILL couldnt do their job and verify. I ended up paying 115$ for the visit and have them draw blood. then i get two bills later. one from them for emotional evaluation, which i didnt ask for, and for other nonsense. Then i got a bill for the blood work for 600$ and they said we didnt see anything, go to this doctor for further research. I had blood drawn...for free for INSURANCE and the insurance people found 4 things wrong. plus when the lady took my blood she missed the vein 3 times before finally sticking it. read more

We had a bad experience this morning when we called to make an appointment for my boyfriend to see Dr. Mooneyham which is his doctor. Maggie answered the phone and was very rude. She needs to learn how to talk to people. The overall clinic is wonderful and we love Dr. Mooneyham and the rest of the staff. read more

If a patient does not have a potentially serious problem...then go. If you are not in and out...they can become bothered, especially when they've missed something important and have been treating you for something else altogether for months. Don't know if that's because sometimes things just take time or if there is too much reliance on a PA that should run more by a Doc. Competence, caring and working to solve a condition fosters a better culture than defensiveness. Also, when a patient leaves messages (when there is a problem that needs medical attention) they do not respond or respond days later. You would think that a clinic that was founded and exists to provide access to medical care for the uninsured would be focused less on the fear of liability and more on treatment. Oh, perhaps there is that mentality that the uninsured and low-income folks hold a higher propensity to file lawsuits, frivolous or not. What these paranoid white coats ignore is the fact that rich patients file suits quicker and more often with the economic teeth to do financial harm. Why not try to give hurting patients the same respect that you insist we give you when you insult us by making us sign a written agreement "to never raise our voices or be rude to staff" And, for the female lady with the short red hair at the front window....we can read your lips and hear your whispers about us after we move away from the counter. It appears your demeanor bothers your co-worker with the dark hair that sits to your right. There must be some reason why she fears discussing that with you. I am disappointed in the overall environment at this clinic; it demonstrates that a community can have a great new building but that does not translate into good healthcare. Give me ancient brick and mortar and a Doc or PA that is competent and cares... One "legal" issue that you all should read carefully throughout the building...HIPAA, especially the confidentiality section. Hope this review helps the next patient... read more

I suggest that people avoid the HOPE Clinic. I am 70 years old and I had a very fine primary care doctor. This doctor advised a couple of months ago that she would be leaving St. Thomas Medical Partners and going to the HOPE Clinic. I went to the clinic before the transfer and asked if I could follow my doctor. I was told that I could. My doctor has been on staff at the HOPE Clinic for one month. I called the clinic today because I needed to get a prescription refilled. I was told that I could not get a refill because I had not seen my doctor AT THE CLINIC. The only way to get a refill was to see another doctor and of course I would be charged for an office visit. I was told by a former patient that he left because he felt he was overcharged by HOPE Clinic. It is my opinion that the HOPE Clinic's practices are designed to maximize profits and take advantage of patients. I learned today that the CEO at the HOPE Clinic is a nurse practitioner. Would you want to see a doctor who is controlled by a nurse practitioner ?? read more
