As an established patient, I found the office manager, Chrystal, to be inflexible and non-collaborative when addressing insurance and scheduling needs. She is dismissive and disinterested. I told her I might be depressed (extreme fatigue). She offered me an antidepressant without asking any questions. I declined. A year later I repeated my concern, she prescribed an antidepressant without asking any questions. I became physically ill after starting the med so discontinued use. I told her I wanted specific tests run before exploring different drugs. The lung cancer screening I requested revealed a mass. I was notified of this through an automated response from her portal. My mother is an established patient at this clinic. She is suffering from Alzheimer's. My father had a major heart attack last night so I picked up my mother as she is unable to take care of herself due to her memory issues. I called and explained the situation. I have been a patient at this office for over 20yrs. I was with Dr. Rivera before she moved to another practice. Dr. Rivera was a good doctor but had too many sick patients with multiple symptoms that made her running late seeing other patients on her schedule. It was understandable. Since then, I was luckily enough to be able to transfer to and doctor there at the same office. Now, I don't have to waiting a long time to see my doctor. My notes on Athena updated and notified me within an hour or 2 after seeing my doctor. Overall, it always a great experience. My questions were answered, and my concerns are looked into. I am not sure why there are one-star reviews for this office, but personally my experiences have been 5+ STARS. I don't owe money as those 1-star reviews, nor I live out of state like them. Yelp need to verify users giving fault reviews. read more

Lost my insurance and they charged me over $400 for my last doctors visit which was only a 10 minute visit. They also denied my refill on my prescriptions on medicines they prescribed me because all they care about is the money! I love my doctor at Primary Care Associates. Dr. Darla Rivera listens, pays attention, asks important questions, takes time to thoroughly investigate your issues. My 5* rating is for her, not the practice in general, as when she has not been available and I have had to see another doctor covering for her, I have been less happy and felt rushed through. She has a photographic memory, recalls things from years ago and connects the dots to anticipate what may be wrong. When my husband accompanied me on an appointment a number of years ago, she asked about his knee issues and his back. Her advice that he should probably see a really good back surgeon ended up getting him successful back surgery just in time. Thank you, Dr. Rivera! read more

I transferred following my Dr from another office. She is great never had any issues with her. Over the time with this office the staff was more worried about collecting funds for a visit that I hadn't received a bill for yet than booking an appointment for my wife. This happened more than once. Two times over 3 weeks I requested to speak with the Dr about a prescription that had been written wrong, once by the portal and once verbally to the nurse by phone. I never heard from her. I requested my records be transferred by another office and two days later I received a certified letter from Primary Care Associates that they were dropping my whole family as patients. The office deserves one star and I feel that is generous. read more

Zero stars. First off, they charged us for a phone call to schedule an "virtual" visit before the actual virtual visit. Got on the visit which led to a no show from the dr. Got a late evening call from the dr stating I'll just send a script for a z pack , come in tomorrow for a drive up covid test. Drove to the office to wait on the phone to let them know I was outside, finally got a nurse or office assistant to be transferred to a voicemail. Left a voicemail. Waiting over 30 mins to get a call to pull up to the awning to meet the nurse which of course wasn't there. Parked under the awning to only wait an hour. Completely rude staff. Waiting is expected with everything going on but geez not one car was outside besides mine. Honestly they are worried more about money then patients. I would like to give 5 stars because the doctor is awesome! My only complaint is the phlebotomist. I have had my blood drawn on many occasions but this time was terrifying, she could not find a vein, I've never had an issue before, it was extremely painful and bruised terribly. I felt she was very inexperienced and I will never get my blood drawn in this facility again even if I have to pay more. read more
