Either you clap 'cause it's great, the person really tried, or just because it's OVER. The first time I went to the Brig I was impressed by some of the clientele at this rather cheesy location on Blackstone (where it has been forever) that night..... I remember one really large young lady who didn't spare the tattoos but most people were so friendly and down-to-earth that I just had to accept them, missing teeth and all. This is how it should be. NO POSERS OR HATERS ALLOWED.I felt quickly accepted, myself. After a while it feels like someone's front room...if they had a bar, pool table, dart board, jukebox, and ATM machine in it. Country. Rock. Ballads. Substituting your own lyrics. ("Turn around, barfly." Can you say "Total Eclipse of the Heart?") Joy. Peace. Karaoke. Can't we all just get along?? Oh, the Humanity....... I've seen people of every age, race, and socio-economic status at the Brig, which I happen to enjoy.
