I then drove one minute away to another mechanic who inspected the car immediately and diagnosed the issue in under 10 seconds it was simply a broken belt. No customer deserves to be mocked or treated like a nuisance when they're worried about their vehicle. Extremely unprofessional. Yep tyres, brakes, fuel injection, transmission, oil change service and pink slips are things that avati has helped me with over the years, even though I moved from campsie to hurstville I will keep coming back to avati as I have been burnt and leant my lesson the hard way.

What I liked about them: -close to a train station (makes it easy to find a way to get to work - they are about 9 mins from St Peter's station) -they call to provide updates on the status of the service (I needed a new car battery so they called to ask about whether it is ok to go ahead with that) -they provided a complimentary car wash -the service looks good and no issues so far. What I wished they did better: -They listed that they close at 5:30pm, but when I spoke to them over the phone, they said that I should get there before 5pm as they no longer do anymore sale transactions after 5pm. So I have to leave work earlier than what I had initially expected to get there before 5pm.

The summary is, they are trustworthy…read more I put my Volvo XC60 in for service last November including timing belt replacement. Early this year, car broke down and towed to Artarmon Motorserve. It was there for a very long time (which was frustrating) but full credit where it's due. They spent a lot of time exploring the issue, trying to solve the problem and repair the engine before concluding a new engine was required (seems the timing belt slipped causing irreparable damage). They kept me appraised along the way. They took responsibility for the whole thing including the diesel particulate filter which clogged up after the new engine was put in. It didn't cost me anything - repair warranty covered the lot. I'm not a mechanic - they could have told me it was a new thing and I wouldn't have known. They were dead honest. The manager, Bryce, was absolutely terrific. I could not commend him more highly alongside his team who are nothing but cheerful and helpful. They have secured my business for years to come.
