The most important part of any business is missing. The ability to return phone calls. No follow through.

Disclaimer: this review is written by Will's partner, who hates making accounts but hates Farnam…read moreeven more. Thank you Will xx DO NOT RENT HERE. Greed, incompetence, and apparent hatred for their tenants. My partner rented from Farnam for seven years, but I couldn't tolerate more than one. After fixing up our poorly maintained apartment and receiving confirmation for a lease renewal, we were suddenly forced to relocate at tremendous personal expense. Farnam didn't even communicate this information to us; my partner had to leave work and drive to their office, as always, to find out they had lied to us yet again. (There are more horror stories that I won't even get into here.) All this strife so that landlord Carol could continue raising rents for the next sorry tenant. The brokers are friendly while coaxing you into a lease; after that point, they genuinely don't care whether you live or die. They will lie to you for no other reason than their own laziness and convenience, and that's only if you manage to get anyone to talk to you in the first place. I'm disgusted with Joey Felton and Zak Kampton, but I'm still not sure whether they're malicious or just incompetent. Carol Lopez-Horsford is evil. I heard her shouting and degrading the maintenance staff multiple times while I was a tenant, and she appears to be hated by all who have ever known her (including brokers who escaped to other companies). The maintenance workers were the only positive part of my experience, but even they couldn't manage to keep mice out of our apartment. Yes, New Haven has a pest problem, but it doesn't help when the house is literally full of holes. Of the four apartments I've rented in this city, Farnam's was the worst maintained and worst managed by far. We are thankful every day to no longer be in business with Farnam. It's harder to find a decent private landlord, but so worth the effort! P.S. It's common knowledge that they buy fake positive reviews. You can literally tell which ones those are on this Yelp page. Lies as always.

Spoke with Damion on the phone, set up a time to meet on Saturday, which he agreed to. I made plans around that meeting and he canceled that day. We met another time in which I was able to give him the security deposit. Fast forward to move-in day. It was snowing and I had my father and brother come from out of town (Dad came from Salem, MA). I already gave Damion the security deposit and made the first month's payment online. A confirmation number was sent to me and the money was withdrawn from my account. Standing in the kitchen with Damion, my brother, and Father, he insisted I get a cashiers check. We agreed to meet at the Walmart down the road where I waiting in line over an hour to get the check. It was Dinner time and starting to get dark (Uhaul was sitll full..). After walking out of Walmart I don't see Damion. I call him and he tells me to meet him another 20min away because "I have four wheel drive" (in a dickish tone) - I meet him, give him the check and go back to the place to unload the uhaul. After unloading it came to our attention that the furnace hasn't been turned on, nor has the yard been picked up as we agreed. The company did credit me $150 for not following through on the yard clean-up. Next I was told to measure the air filter for Damion which I found extremely inappropriate. However, I did end up doing it. So that was all a month into the process. Now it's May, about 4 months into the lease and I have taken the liberty of doing yard cleanup (leaves, twigs, etc.) and also removed a large pile of trash (rusty metal, glass, even diapers..). I didn't feel comfortable with my dog using the area in that condition. I left this in a pile by the road for pick-up as per Damion's instruction. It's been a week and the only person that showed up wanted to see if there was anything of value (I could've saved him the time and tell him there wasn't). I've never met the owner before but from what I see, Pro Property Management's only function is dealing with the lease paperwork and taking payment. They did help me replace the dryer in the unit but they knew it was broken before I moved in and it was far from simple.. What do you think? Would you guys be happy with them? -**Response to Adrianne** - The clean-up then, and the clean-up now are different. If I was the landlord, I would be ecstatic that the tenant cleaned up some garage. See the picture as reference. I don't think it's fair to say you understand my frustration, because frankly you're not it.. I already sent a copy of this review to your email and not sure what else there is to discuss.

Their handling of their tenants and treatment of us as neighboring property owners has been nothing…read moreshort of appalling. For YEARS, their tenant has been destroying portions of our property, and despite being made fully aware of the situation, Mandy Management has failed to take any meaningful action to stop the damage, only to ignore us throughout ALL THESE YEARS even law enforcement. Instead of addressing the destructive behavior, they have turned a blind eye, excused the tenant's conduct, and allowed the situation to escalate. The tenant informed the police Mandy Management advised them to cut down all our trees. The situation has become even more distressing because their tenant frequently yells and screams at us in the mornings -- right in front of me and my disabled children. This is harassment, plain and simple, breach of peace as the police stated. It has created a hostile and unsafe environment for my family, which no one should have to endure in their own home. Mandy Management has done the opposite: they ignore legitimate concerns, enable their tenant's destructive actions, and allow them to lash out at their surrounding neighbors. Their negligence and hostility have caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and damage that could have easily been prevented with even the most basic level of professionalism and accountability. If you are a property owner or renter considering hiring this management company, beware: they do not act in good faith, they do not protect property, and they certainly do not treat others with respect. Their conduct is a liability, not an asset. My children should not have to suffer daily in their own home.

I had three rooms renovated, dinner patch work inside the house all done beautifully. I worked with a bit of contractors before that we're reliable, but JDRC puts in an extra umph to their work. Bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms came out with excellent quality. Bedroom, split room, remove closet, and adding a door. Repainted walls and simple adjustment of light switch. Excellent paint job and sanding the walls. Bathroom renovation was done on removing grout and mold. Inside window tray was fixed. It was horrible initially because other contractors messed up the support and caused major molding to occur. JDRC was able to patch it but did recommend replacement. Repainted heatpipe. They sand down the old paint and repainted it. Excellent job with everything here. Kitchen work was cabinet replacements, sink, and countertop replacements. Everything was great. They even replanted the walls afterwards since they wanted everything to look nice and new to match their work. Kitchen window molding was replaced sure to new cabinet sizing. JDRC was flexible and easy to work with. They do honest with and trustworthy. I've seen contractors that cheat on their job, and JDRC did not. I highly recommend them for renovations. This job was done months ago but I haven't had time to write this review. Thanks again!
