The broker I dealt with (Dennis) claimed he brokered many deals with the restaurant industry. Upon…read moremeeting him, he was condescending and snobby. And despite his attitude, he proved (surprising) he knew nothing about brokering a deal in the restaurant/bar industry. He didn't even know standard procedures when dealing with specifics. When talking to him about village code, he said to go and talk to the mayor. We told him over and over, the mayor does not dictate building code and realistically has very little say in it. After dealing with this nightmare, we obtained a broker to try and educate this guy on the business. His attitude went from condescending to childish and it took 2 weeks to even start talking about the property because he was sour about splitting the commission. Clearly a sign he doesn't care about the client or deal. Even after the fact, a deal never got made and I believe the landlord missed a great opportunity with a company that has been in the bar industry for 20 years. I'm not sure if I'd work with this company again.
