Absolutely Amazing!!! Let me begin by saying that the level of service provided by Moh and Farrah is the best my wife and I have ever recieved. From beginning to end, we always felt that we were in good hands and felt like we were in the company of family. After searching for a couple of months for a decorator that knew exactly what my wife and I wanted for our wedding, we stumbled upon Prime Party Rentals on Yelp. From the very beginning the experience was different from other decorators. They listened to our ideas and also expanded upon them to make them even better! Other vendors pushed us to change our ideas in favor for something else, but Prime Party Rentals always put our wants and needs first. Moh and Farah were always communicating with us and were able to accommodate us even on short notice. They helped us pick the perfect flowers for both of our venues and even came up with a theme that was so special to us, birds. We had beautiful bird cages, elegant peacock feathers, and lighting with a feather pattern. At one point, the coordinator at our venue was not working with us with a few things, one of them was timing of set up and tear down. That's when Moh and Farah stepped in and spoke to our venue coordinator for us! Not only did they speak with our venue coordinator but they were able to get us more time for set up which relieved so much stress for us. Everything was perfect and beautiful at our ceremony and reception. Our guests are still talking about it till this day! We recieved so many compliments on our decorations, one of our favorites was, " Wow this is like a wedding you see in the movies, it's a royal wedding." When my partner and I were planning our wedding, I was clueless to so many things because I haven't been to very many weddings myself. How was I supposed to know what my "dream wedding" would look like? There were so many things to think about and even with most of our vendors in order and a wedding coordinator by our side, it still seemed like a never ending to do list. Our wedding planner suggested that we meet with Moh at Prime Party Rentals so he arranged our first consultation at his office. I was so over the planning process at this point that I was ready to just accept whatever he was going to put in front of us, just to get it over with. However, the meeting was quite different than I expected and we actually left feeling excited. Moh had a general idea in his head of what he could do with the event spaces, but he knew we had our own ideas and were conscious of budget. Unlike the other folks we spoke to, he didn't want to come out the gates pushing his ideas so he conducted more of an intake process. He immediately gave us the floor to give him an idea of what we were looking for and asked a ton of questions to get a pulse on the way we felt about the big picture stuff down to the smallest details. When we weren't sure or asked for his input he had so many great anecdotes to exemplify what he was trying to suss out. Before he walked us through his massive showroom (the fun part!) he briefly introduced the theme that he came up with from our conversation that hour. It was exactly in line with our tastes and was tailored around enhancing the strengths of the venues. When he called it the Gardens of Versailles, it was at that moment that it was no longer a long list of to do's, we could finally envision what our big day was going to look like. At the risk of sounding cliché, it truly felt like we got our dream wedding thanks to Moh's creative and thoughtful design. He tended to every detail, no matter what changes we through at him. His rental rates were pretty competitive from what our other vendors would have charged. He was extremely responsive, flexible when we had feedback, and overall very fun to work with. This will be the only review any of yall need to read. This man Moh was born to design. He's insane, he turned the marriott hall which when you first walk in just looks like a boring old typical business hall into a freaking masterpiece. As the husband going into wedding planning I never thought I would care about decorations but I'll be honest working with Moh this became my favorite part of everything (other than food tasting). Every meeting we had was extremely fun, Moh and his mom are some of the nicest people on the planet and also Moh is absolutely hilarious. We would laugh so hard some meetings telling stories we would start crying. Then when it came to designing, he's just got an eye for perfection and glam. I had family members thinking my wedding cost 2-4x what it really did because of what he set up. I promise you, whatever the cost is to work with Moh its 110% worth it. To only have to deal with one person, not 10 different vendors and someone who puts his heart and soul into this is worth every penny. I even watched him work for a few minutes, and I remember seeing him from across the giant marriott hall yell at a working because one of the tables was literally about an inch out of line. The only problem you will encounter is if you work with Moh, every other wedding you will go to for the rest of your life will seem janky and unappealing in comparison to yours because with Moh you'll see how all this smallest little details mean so much in the big picture. To this day when I hear families talking about weddings, they cant even compare ours to anyone else because they say my wedding was for a King and a Queen and a big part of it all is a thanks to Moh. Everything that he used in his collection was high quality. I was just waiting for my photos before I write this review; because no words can justify what Moh was able for do for me. The most important aspect for my wedding was photographs and for the pictures to be perfect i needed right set of decor. I thank my stars i found Moh, he can relate with you. When i first went there i had foggy ideas but he read my mind and was able to replicate exactly or even better of what i would have thought. Spoke to them on the phone about getting Moh to do my reception with a budget and he agreed. I described what I needed and he said he will try to keep it within budget and would be happy to continue. I was so excited to find someone with his experience to decorate my reception. . The next day I get a call from his assistant that he can't do it and I should look to rent with my budget. She said she could send people to set up but that they weren't trained designers. She would also charge me for the not trained designers???? I sounded distressed (as anyone should) because I wanted to work with Moh but she quickly said I can come in and meet with him to discuss options and we can "go from there". The day of the appointment I get a call from her telling me not to come in and that she will email me a quote. The quote ends up being ridiculously high for just flowers. They didn't even include the chairs and plates I had requested from Moh in the beginning. Sending a quote based on none of the stuff I discussed is extremely unprofessional and not an accurate reflection of the needs I communicated. It seemed as if they weren't interested because my budget didn't seem worthy, my budget being $1k and flexible. The whole experience was off putting, it seems like they're more concerned with money than actually helping decorate events. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I really did want to work with Moh since he seemed very kind and accommodating but I found out that really wasn't the case. As event planners, I hope they consider being more aware of the stresses that we feel and conduct themselves in a more empathetic fashion. read more

I decided to go to Prime Party Rentals for my engagement back in May of 2011 and met with Farah and she was a pleasure to work with. Her and her son Moh ensured that everything would be taken care of from A-Z for me on my special day. I went in with just an idea and wasn't even sure how I wanted my stage decorated. With that said, going in during my entrance I was a little nervous to see what they had in store for me. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how amazing and PERFECT everything turned out to be. Moh transformed our wedding venue to look like a beautiful palatial ballroom. We had a large Indian wedding at San Ramon Marriott about 1 month ago. Moh and Farrah were instrumental in making it as beautiful as it was. The mandap was beautifully decorated with tasteful white flowers with golden leaves and a white backdrop, letting myself and my husband pop in all the photos. The reception hall looked magical, with soft uplighting, a beautiful backdrop, and centerpieces that incorporated our peacock theme. Moh and Farrah were fun to talk to throughout the whole process. I hired PPR for my sangeet and wedding, Moh did such an awesome job! I went to their office probably about 5-6 times because I kept changing my mind on colors and centerpieces. I had pictures and ideas of what I wanted and they worked with me and the outcome was perfect! I told Moh that if something didn't look right to go with his gut and he did, some colors I picked out didn't go right so he made a last minute decision and I couldn't have been happier. He was also able to make me a bridal bouquet for me last minute which I really appreciated. This review is 8 months tardy but wanted to give a shout out to Moh, his mommy and the team at Prime. They did a fantastic job with our reception decor / staging, the chiavari chairs, uplighting, draping, etc. We especially loved our reception stage setup which was elegant and oh-so-clean! It was exactly what my wife and I wanted! Moh and his team are very creative when it comes to making what you want actually happen. One piece of advice for couples searching for wedding vendors: Use as few vendors as possible. We had one vendor for flowers, one for the mandap, one for something else and then Moh for the items mentioned in paragraph 1. If we had found Prime before we signed contracts with these other folks, it would have saved us a lot of hassle. When we found Moh, he mentioned to us that he could do EVERYTHING that we needed but we had already signed contracts elsewhere. What a bummer! That would be the one thing that would have made our life easier during planning. Finally, we made some changes to our reception layouts, etc. only a couple of days before the wedding to make the flow better for the room. Moh took the changes in stride and got everything set up the night before for our wedding staging and had the reception setup complete way ahead of schedule on the day of. He was a rock-star! I honestly wish that my experience with PPR was a little better. Everything was perfect on my wedding and reception days with my family and husband but there's the big dark cloud looming over the recollection of my wedding decor. It could have been so much more enjoyable for my parents, sister, and extended family members had PPR been on time, and clear in their communication. Had they mentioned or asked the right questions about set up for the event, we would have made proper arrangements to avoid a lot of the issues we ran into. I began working with Prime Party Rental in Feb 2012.. just a few weeks after my January engagement. Our wedding was in December 2012. I had admired the decor which PPR set up for my best friend's wedding the previously year and decided to give them a call. Our first meeting was great. We were so inspired by Moh and his creativity. He really does have an amazing talent and skill to create beautiful surroundings for memorable occasions. I do not doubt that for a second. Farah and Yasin were a pleasure to work with as well. She followed up the next month with a quote. Comparable to Sacramento, PPR was giving me a great deal.. I was more than excited to work with them. I met with the entire PPR team throughout the year. Communicated with them at least once a month on when we should meet next, different ideas we should sort through, etc. He assured me, like other decorators that he will handle everything A-Z. as well. Please keep in mind I met with them in the spring, twice in the summer, once in the fall, and TWICE just two weeks before my wedding along with sending him very specific layed out instructions on how the Ceremony and Reception should be set up. Lets fast forward to wedding day: Our wedding was held at a hotel in Sacramento. Hats off to PPR for actually taking my event. As I mentioned, Moh and his team assured me that they would handle everything. I offered assistance to Moh if he needed it at all and he said they will have it all under control. At 2pm, I get a frantic call from my event coordinator saying our decorator hasn't showed up yet and nothing is set up (our event begins at 6, everything needs to be set up by 5pm. I immediately call Moh and he states that he is on his way and that rather than leaving Hayward at 1030am, they left at 1230pm. My family and I arrived to the hall at 5pm. My sister is running back and forth between the hall and the hotel making arrangements so that everything was done before the grooms family arrived. Was it completed? No. Little did I know that the Mandap was no where near being completed, my husband's family members had assist my family to set up the chairs for the rest of the tables since they were just left in a stack , and finish setting up the tables (laying out linens, folding the napkins, etc. ). The following day was the reception: Same problem, phone call from the coordinator that nobody is at the hall setting up and its 2pm. Guests start arriving at 530pm to see Moh still decorating leaving my guests waiting to enter the hall. Apparently, this was also due to an assumed miscommunication. As I'm getting hair and makeup done, I see the delivery truck outside my venue finally. They brought the two chairs I had specifically asked him not to bring. Clearly he thought they looked better but every single person I spoke to mentioned that it would have been better for a loveseat (as I had requested) so we could take proper family pictures. There were a few tasks that Moh did assist me with such as bringing the flowers with him from my florist.Throughout the 20-40 communications we had throughout a span of 11 months, not once was it mentioned that they would not be setting up the event. Instead, we got a "don't worry we will handle everything! You are like family!" The end result of the reception was satisfying minus the chairs on the center stage. Even though my experience wasn't an A++, I have seen their work and know they are capable of creating an elegant event. I hired them for my son's wedding reception. They provided a great service. All items were good quality and set up was done on time and fully. I would certainly use them again. Owner and manager are very polite and customer oriented. They make good suggestions and are also very good in listening to customers to meet their needs. I will use them again anytime. read more

I wish there was an option for less than 1 star! I was recommend to Prime (Moh) by my cousin who used him successfully for her wedding. When it came time for me to need a decorator for a large party I was having, I contacted Moh repeatedly with no response back for weeks. We finally went to the office and met with him for 2 hours! We were pleased with his ideas etc and were excited to move forward. He promised us an estimate, etc. We never heard back. Literally no communication after that! If you're not able to do the event, it would be good customer service to jot a quick email saying you are not able to do the event rather than just not communicating. read more
