They ruined my driveway and left me with the bill for repairs and cleanup! I had hired Luizzi back in 2020 to seal my driveway. They did a great job (I had left them a 5 star review here), so when it came time to have my driveway sealed again, they were the natural choice. What a mistake that was. The trouble started when we set an appointment to have them seal my driveway on September 3rd. As the day carried on, no one showed up. I emailed the scheduler... no response, so I called... no answer. Finally, the sun set and I accepted they were not coming that day. A no show. Anyone who has had to schedule driveway work before knows how incredibly disruptive it is to have your driveway blocked off for several days in a row. You have to take off of work the day of the sealing, rearrange deliveries, visitors, etc. Especially if your driveway is the only way on to the property (as it is in my case). Having no one show up on the day promised was a huge bummer. Not awesome, but things happen, so it wasn't the end of the world. Fortunately?, I was able to reschedule and they made the 2nd appointment (although I wish they hadn't). Once the sealer hardened and I was able to investigate the job, I was horrified as to what I saw. In addition to sealing the driveway, they used crack fill to clean up the seams and minor cracks around the driveway, but apparently the machine they were using was unable to shut the nozzle off in between fills. The result was smeared and drizzled crack sealant across my ENTIRE driveway. It looked almost like someone had carelessly sprayed everything. Absolutely horrible. On top of that, I noticed they failed to make the patch work they did flush (so I have dips that collect water) and they even missed a huge crack in their own repair work! To top it off, when I looked at my garage door, it had splatter from the sealant on it 6 feet off the ground - all over the garage door, my white fence, and my siding. Did I mention they hand applied this? How does that even happen when you apply by hand?! Naturally I called in to let them know I was not satisfied. The individual I spoke with was apologetic and agreed that the job they had done was not up to quality. She immediately offered 20% off the job and agreed to not only clean up the splashing on the garage, but thin out the excess fill, too. Great! ...except it wasn't. That was the last time I heard from this person. The date she had set up for the team to come back and clean up came and went. No show; again! From there, I heard nothing from Luizzi for weeks, so I shrugged it off as a wash and decided I'd find another company to clean up their mess. Weeks later, another gentleman called me from Luizzi. He told me they had fired a bunch of workers, so my file got lost in the cracks. He told me I owed them for the job. When I explained what happened, he said he would send someone to clean it up and fix it. I explained that I had already been promised that months ago, had a no show, so I hired someone else to clean up. He said he would look into having someone come and at least fix the crack fill, so I agreed. Once again, I never heard from him and weeks ticked on. One day, I'm sitting in my house and randomly I get a phone call in the evening from one of the Luizzi employees: "I'm here. I'm going to fix the driveway". Uh, what? It had been weeks. I had no word and then suddenly you show up and want to block off my driveway for 3 days so you can fix the sloppy job you did previously? The worker gave me a story about how the management is bad and they had a massive layoff and the machines are all terrible and that's why they messed up the job. He told me he really wanted to fix it and had a long list of other jobs he had to fix, so I reluctantly agreed to let him try. Again, huge mistake. Now, not only do I still have drizzled crack fill all over my driveway, I have a few spots with smeared and flaking fill in giant stripes 10'+ in length down my driveway. It turns out he only tried to fix one or two spots, severely messed up, and seemingly gave up. Now it looks worse than before! Again, weeks went on, then I get a bill from Luizzi to pay for everything. Huh? You guys trashed my garage, ruined my driveway and you want me to pay you for it? I told them I refused to pay for the sealing since it completely messed up my driveway, but I offered to pay for the repair work (which was half the job). This was not good enough for them. They decided I'm not entitled to cost from the clean up AND to repair the ruined driveway. Basically they would pay for the cleaning, but nothing else. I politely declined, so they said they are going to sue me. Aren't they nice? This was after I gave them glowing reviews and sent them several referrals that converted into jobs. Talk about gratitude!

Owner gave me a call with the price and then they emailed me the exact quote. They were able to pave about a week later. They came and did the driveway in a day. Whole crew was professional and worked with me to address certain unique aspects of my driveway. If you're looking for a quality driveway I'd recommend these guys any day.

Over time, a strange issue developed--a small hole appeared in the middle of the driveway and expanded into a 4-inch-long tunnel. After consulting several people, the consensus was that it might have been caused by a collapsed chipmunk tunnel beneath the surface. As the hole grew and became a safety concern, I contacted multiple companies for quotes. I ultimately chose Pave Star because they seemed the most knowledgeable and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction--and I'm thrilled with the results! The team cut out a larger rectangular section around the affected area and repaired it meticulously. While any driveway patch will always be somewhat noticeable, their work is exceptional. We hired Blue Bird Roofing (formerly known as Kornerstone Roofing) after our neighbor's tree fell on our house. The tree damaged our upper roof and caused extensive structural damage to our back porch, so we knew we needed a roofing company that could repair more than just our damaged shingles. After calling several local roofing companies I was feeling a little overwhelmed - some wanted to just repair the shingles and subcontract the needed structural repairs, others tried to upsell me on features I wasn't looking for, and others told me they weren't willing to work with the insurance company on our behalf to get the needed repairs covered. Finally, I called Blue Bird Roofing and I am so glad I did!!! The owner came out the next day and did a thorough inspection of the damages, both on the interior and exterior of my home, with pictures to show me where repairs were needed. Even though there was snow & ice on our roof he didn't hesitate to get up there and look around, and when he found damaged shingles on our 2nd story roof causing a leak into our attic he sent someone the next day to chisel away the ice to patch our roof so we wouldn't get any more water damage up there. The Blue Bird Roofing team got to work right away on making the needed repairs. They put a new roof on our porch, repaired damaged rafters and beams, fixed cracked and water damaged trim, repaired torn screens, replaced a piece of damaged aluminum siding on our house, installed new gutters and guards, installed new siding, really they did everything that needed to be done so our porch looked exactly like it did before the tree fell. The Blue Bird Roofing team worked all day and came back the following evening to do more repairs. The owner even spent several hours on a rainy Saturday doing detailed repairs inside our porch because he wanted everything to look perfect. Not to mention the repairs we needed for our 2nd story roof - new shingles, new gutters and guards, opening a ridge vent that had never been cut to ensure our roof had better ventilation, new flashing around our chimneys, new trim - new everything. He even installed missing cross beams in our attic (at my request) so our house could have more structural support under the roof. They have requested all the previously signed documents over several email requests, because they kept forgetting or needing different information. 11 emails back and forth finally resulted in me making a phone call to a Jenna Esopi. When I asked if they had received everything they needed and I could schedule a date to have my roof fixed, I was told the new management hadn't reviewed the paperwork yet and they couldn't come fix my roof until it was reviewed. Apparently the new owners are entirely electronic, and didn't have my contract on file. I just want my roof fixed! Why is it always such a headache to get these companies to do what they said they promised to do?

I have cracks and depressions in different areas already! This was the first time we paved our driveway. It was just crush for years and we decided to spend the money to pave it. We got quoted from several different contractors and Tri-city was paving our neighbors driveway so we decided to go with them. They were a bit unprofessional yelling at each other when doing the job. Apparently there were some disagreements. They underestimated the amount of paving they needed and ended up having to get an additional truckload. I think they tried to squeeze what they had over a broader area than they should have. They left a very visible seam in one section and told us the sealcoating would take care of it. That is where some of the cracks have appeared. We had weeds coming up along the edge of pavement and a significant depression in one section after the first summer. This year we have visible cracks. My advice is to go with another contractor!

He even used the extra asphalt to repair an existing walkway at no extra charge. He treated his employees with respect and it shows by the way they work for him.
