They stuck by their quote, even though the demo portion of the job became more complicated and timely than anticipated. They communicated well, sought feedback throughout the project, and were very adaptable. The stamping and staining of the concrete was beautifully done and all of their work has held up perfectly. WELL NOT IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT! I should have known something was not right when the foreman on the job asked me if I wanted it to be stamped. I said no as we wanted it to match a concrete sidewalk that was already there and were ok with the brushed finish. Well there may have been a reason he asked because the final product does not show well at all. Marc came out to look at the job and said that sometimes the concrete comes out to be 75% and other jobs 110% so it is hard we never know what we get. Well I guess I got the 75% or less quality work done. POSITIVE THAT THE OWNER WOULD NOT WANT THIS AT HIS HOUSE. The final piece to the renovation project and it looks like garbage, is rough on your bare feet around the pool and I truly believe it is not going to hold up at all. Negative reviews either from friends that have seen the work done. Considering work done by American Design? Wish you could see my job first.

Had them provide estimate for $827 for raising of walkway/concrete pads. They performed the work on…read more7/22/2011. They broke the concrete pad while they drilled the pilot holes to pump the concrete. They told me that the concrete was thin, and "that happens." Shouldn't they have caught that when they did the estimate? I asked them to come out and fill the patches better, because the concrete they used was sub par, quickly cracked and disintegrated. They did come back out, only after the "owner" and I had words. 6-7 months later, the walkway is horrible, all of the holes that were patched are exposed, and the pads have cracked all the way through. My advice - stay away from these guys. I have to have all of the concrete replaced. It is much worse than when I hired them. I am hiring a real mason to come in and work with us.
