Ok so this is more of an update as I had done a review back in August of 2019. Sadly they are charging more and doing less as they do ask for money upfront and of course tip envelopes on all seats on the bus at the end of the tour. The bus picks up passengers who have purchased tickets for various events at a local park stop. Ours made two stops to pick up people. This particular trip which we made in advance was "almost" full. The bus was clean and appeared modern. It had a bathroom in the back for emergency use. There was no special handicap opening in the rear, though plenty space for a scooter and or underneath the bus . So having seats in the back of the bus took longer to get to and from. Chas was a kind bus driver who did get us to and from safely. This said jumping to the end of the tour, The DVD did not work. So no cute movie to take up the time for the ride home for tired passengers. Oh but the Tour guide said we could talk or sleep. Yahoo. Overall how big a deal is it? - Like giving candy to a baby and then taking it away. Another rather minor glitch, they have these cards that they punch when you take a trip and after 10 you get something like 10 dollars off or some such thing. Ok. Big deal, what an incentive when each ticket is over 100 dollars for a day trip. Anyway they give you insurance wavers to sign and collected them. BUT they could not stamp the cards that the few people had blaming it on the Pandemic after all. So, overall how big a deal is it? ... This trip was to Essex Connecticut. We went first to down town and ate lunch at the Griswold Inn a historical place that notes it being "one of the oldest continuing operating inns in the nation". It had a nice ambience and service was quick if not knowledgeable to questions. A very brief time if you ate fast to cross the street to one of the select stores to buy memorabilia. I bought locally made cards, which were really nice . Always like to support the local artist. Then it was off to the Essex train ride on an old train with Jack our conductor. But don't ever say HIJACK. NO no no no. **) (nice but not quite as cool as the first trip to the "Shore Line Trolley") Then to a very slow tug steam boat on the rivers edge. Speaker was good but information I found to become boarding. Then the ride home which I might add was hours later then the given time schedule. But we got there eventually. Sad thing is, there are not too many (I do not know of them) places that do these trips , especially NOW nuf said. So I am still looking through there magazine for another trip. As I see and read the "LA GRECI'S STAATEN PRESENTS "A COUNTRY HALL OF FARMERS" $135.00 EACH ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 16, 2021. Of course the tour guide on the bus said, better get'em while their hot and haven' t sold out yet. Which, while of course sounds like a sales pitch, could be true. **- read more

I have been on many trips with Prime Time Travel. I have never had a problem. The bus always arrives on time. The bus driver and the tour escort are friendly and we always arrive at our destination on or near on time. Prime Time always includes meals with the price of the trip, which the competition does not. The meals include tax and tips. So once you pay for the trip, everything's covered, except if you want to leave a tip for the tour escort and bus driver. I recommend this company and the many bus trips they offer. read more

It would be zero....Booked a motor tour with Prime Time Travel. Prime Time Cancelled the tour and refused cash refund only credit. I will be moving to Florida in the fall and I'm told sorry not transferable. How does a travel company refuse a cash refund when they cancelled the trip. If I could give a negative star rating to this business I would. I took their day trip to NYC for lunch and a Broadway show on their luxury bus from Hell. (A 3 1/2 hour trip.) It was one of the hottest days so far this summer and the air conditioner on the bus was not working. The bus itself was decrepit and kept stalling making our schedule very hard to keep. To add insult to injury, the "tour guide" kept lying to us about the air and what she was doing to rectify the situation. Finally, when the bus kept stalling in traffic causing gridlock in Manhattan, she arranged to have another bus available to bring us home. The replacement bus would, we were assured, have air conditioning. After the show, the passengers wandered around trying to find the correct bus. Needless to say many buses were waiting for their passengers, and we were told to look for our guide who, she assured us would be easily seen near our new bus. She was not. Many of our group got on buses headed for parts unknown until advised they in the wrong place. Okay. So we're all on the replacement bus which was MORE DECREPIT than the original. The only good part was that the engine started. It was downhill from there: the air vents did not work, no air conditioning past the driver's seat: the handle to the bathroom door had fallen off and was laying on the floor, until in desperation one of our senior passengers fixed it: the upholstery was torn and the arms on many seats were broken. There appeared to be a carton of small water bottles behind the last seat in the bus but none were offered to us. Warm water would have been better than no water. Prime Time Travel which caters to senior citizens showed no care for their customer's comfort or well being. I am giving one star because the driver got us there and back safely. So, book your trip with Prime Time travel at your own peril. Don't say you weren't warned. read more

The Tour Director of a one day local tour was: irresponsible, neglectful & unprofessional. She didn't count the number of tourists supposed to get on the bus, on my stop, hence as soon as 5 of the 6 tourists got on the bus, she told the driver to leave while the sixth tourist was walking towards the bus & chose not to go back and retrieve her. The bus driver drove with ONLY ONE HAND on the wheel & held his cell phone in the other, on a personal call, for a significant portion of the trip. On each seat TIP envelopes were blatantly placed- very tacky!! read more

We'll never recommend this group. Aside from the disorganization and total lack of detailed information prior to a trip, (only a bus pick-up time was issued as an "itinerary", with no information given as to daily or hourly activities) and the rudeness of staff, we experienced a major upset which was met with coldness and lack of compassion or understanding. My travel companion's spouse died suddenly one week before our trip, and no refund (even partial) would be given. Since we hadn't taken the insurance, Prime Time's response was crassly, "We can't refund your money, because then we won't make anything". That attitude said it all. We won't be booking anything with Prime Time after this, and we'll share our bad experience so that others can avoid a similar occurrence. Ellen H. read more

I thought the person on the bus was nice and the bus driver Ok but we left Exit 63 on the Long Island Expressway at 7am for downtown NYC High Line and had three other stops first which were East Northport, Hicksville and New Hyde Park. Anyone who lives on Long Island knows that these stops are no where near each other and the were far south of the LIE! It took us three hours and twenty minutes going and four hours back! We spent less four and a half hours on the High Line and in Chelsea Market! It was a very unpleasant experience to go all in and out of side streets all over Long Island and I would not recommend it to anyone!!!!!!! read more

I have always had a polite, efficient and professional agent when calling. The tour guides were the best and then some. All tours were well planned out.The bus drivers were excellent. I left one star blank because I would like to have more meals included and on one trip, most of the of the times we had to carry our own luggage to and from our room plus the hotels we stayed at needed updating. Tomorrow I will be booking one or two trips with complete confidence all will be as usual, PERFECT read more

I would not recommend this place at all. my friend and I paid $50.00 apiece for a trip to the Highline in Manhattan. We thought this was a tour. There was an escort on the bus. I asked the escort if she could tell us a little about the history of the Highline. She told me I could look it up on the internet! When we got into the city (a 33 mile trip) we were left off and told to come back in 5 hours. What do you do there for five hours???If I had know it was a drive and dump I could have taken my own car, the train or for the $100.00 my friend and I paid together I could have take a town car! In addition, although the bus had a bathroom, the door did not close and the toilet did not flush. I wrote to Mr. Trotta, the President of the company, about my disappointment and that I thought it to be a rip off and he said he would investigate and get back to me. Prime Time Travel in Bellport, NY has the rudest, most inefficient staff I've ever encountered. They place you on hold endlessly, send you important travel documenttion with errors and are rude when you request the correct info. They screwed up my and my my 80-year-old mother's vacation plans by booking her on flights that put her changing planes from the west coast in DC at 11 pm on two different airlines. Trust me, you can book your vacation yourself with less agravation. Stayfar away from these crooks! read more

Terrible tour yesterday. Went to the Highline in N.Y. City from Farmingville, NY. It took 3 hours 20 minutes going and 4 hours coming home. They didn't even provide us with a brochure and map but merely dropped us off and later picked us up. The bus driver and "tour guide" were nice, and I didn't blame them for awful bus trip. Rather, I blame the owner of the company who sent us all over Long Island picking up people so that she could fill up the bus. I would never take a Prime Time Tour again. read more
