Well, it would've been a five star review because they technically did a good job at what was requested, but I was never given the option to keep the remaining lumber. I should've asked, but they should have asked me as well. The crew came and left pretty quickly, kudos to them for their efficiency , but they never said goodbye, which no deal, but I didn't get a chance to ask about keeping the lumber. I had to talk to Alex again after the project because they missed one of the stumps, and they did take care of that quickly. During that call I did ask Alex about the lumber, after the project was done, he said he would get back to me, and I called back again a couple days later, lefta voice message. I received no callback. Then I emailed, and still nothing. I have two fireplaces, the firewood would've been nice. They are paid in full, project is over. I'm still fairly happy with them all things considered. UPDATE: Wow, within two hours of posting. Alex had his team at my house with a truck load of precut firewood. A masterclass in service. I'm rebuilding my garage & needed someone to cut down the trees next to it so the roots wouldn't damage the next one. After getting no shows, run arounds & no answers from most arborists in my area, Alex picked up & came out to give me a quote. The price was definitely great! They showed up at 11am & were done by 2:30pm. Within an hour they had seemingly taken down most of the trees without even having to climb them. They even took care of the problem trees that were embedded into the fence which is what made the job so long as cutting the chain link & trying to pound the posts loose took awhile. One of the trees surprisingly had a Yellow Jacket wasp nest in it & Alex's team was unfazed (it helps that the wasps in my yard are chill like honey bees for the most part.) Overall I'll definitely call them whenever I need a job done. They were willing to do what the other arborists weren't (they had me calling fence & demolition contractors before they'd even touch the trees.) I cannot say enough about this company's responsiveness in taking this 30' pine (18" dia) away for us. The 70+ mph gusts from last Monday, 8-10-20 took this beauty down, along with so much tree damage in the New Lenox area. The crew at Prime tree care are friendly, professional, hard working and dependable. We called them on Tuesday and they had the tree removed and stump ground by Thursday! They told us they would take care of us ASAP and they did not disappoint. What a relief! We actually used them back in May to remove a half dead tree that grew to have limbs very close to the other neighbor's house on the other side. These guys were very deliberate in the limb removal, using a tree climber and ropes. They knew how to use the live part of the tree as leverage, tying ropes to support the limb before cutting each major limb. Seeing their technique put us at ease and we enjoyed watching them work. I had a huge dead evergreen fall on my roof as a result of an extremely windy day. I called Prime tree and few other places. I know it was really busy. I'm sure the tree services were overflowing with calls about down trees. However, Prime Tree was the only one accepted my call and replied to my inquiry. I called late afternoon on Sunday, November 15. The had a crew out the next day and in an hour a half the tree was gone and the cleanup was completed. They were fast and efficient. After months of no shows, no calls one text to Prime Tree made all the difference. I called on a Friday, he came out on Saturday to do a quote. Called the following Friday to schedule for the following Tuesday am. Arrived at 8am and finished the job by noon. When I say exceptional crew....amazing! Amazing to watch how four guys worked together to take down tall trees in my front yard and no damage to my nor my neighbors property. Clean up above my expectations.
