If you are with a larger group, call ahead to make reservations but we didn't have to wait long as a party of 3. I was thoroughly surprised with how quick the service was here as I expected this to be a 2 hour lunch...we were in and out in 1 hour and nothing was compromised. Getting to the food, we started with a fresh octopus salad that was cooked perfectly and had some good texture with olives, pickled celery and other items. For entrees, we did an assortment of the Nizzarda salad that was excellent, spaghetti with vongole that was cooked perfectly and had some excellent flavors, and the special of the day with fresh pomodoro and basil. All the portions were very generous here but the flavors were not compromised at all. To finish it off, we did a light tiramisu with wild strawberries that was excellent. After it was all said and done with a bottle of wine, it came out to about 30 euros/person which I thought was very reasonable. Most of the clientele were Italian, and apparently more worthy of their attention than that of two Californian tourists. I went there for a beer in the early afternoon and although some people were having lunch I was greeted with a friendly manner. I chose a local Sardinian beer named Marduk, which has a special taste. Not too bitter and not too sweet. I was surprised when they served a small platter of ham, salami and cheese together with olives. Not all do this as I had a bistro wanting me to chose some sandwich. All in all a pleasant and relaxing experience.
