This liquor store has the best retail customer service of any place I have ever been. Their variety puts much bigger stores to shame and if my wife told me I couldn't go here anymore I would file for divorce. The good: the selection here is amazing. They had a Taiwanese whiskey in stock that i had been unable to locate for years and when given a random recommendation from coworkers they have had the product on the shelf every time. The staff knows what they are talking about and want to help. If you're not sure what you want they will actively walk you through their recommendations and even offer tastings of bottles they have opened. They have helped us pick bottles for wedding gifts, promotion parties, and funeral toasts. The bad: there is nothing reasonable to complain about. The prices might not be as competitive as larger box stores but I promise the service is worth any extra penny on the price tags. read more

Came to Primo Liquor for a wine and whiskey tasting and what a great day it was. The tasting was from 3-6pm on a Saturday and there were unlimited samples. I am not really a wine person, but they had a great selection of wines and champagne to sample. The best part of my visit on this day was the scotch, whiskey and cognac sampling which I did a lot of. The cognac was Hennessey and they had four selections including a VO and XO offering. In the whiskey sampling there were 10 or 11 and I tried them all. I bought a bottle of scotch before leaving and really had a great time. I will definitely come back for another tasting and when in the area will stop back in to see what I can pick up for my bar. read more

Primo Liquors is an epic little store in a strip mall. Wandering about, you will quickly find yourself gawking at an impeccable selection of bourbon and rye. Of course they wine, cognac, mezcals, cigars and other things of the like to distract you from their legendary selection of craft bourbon and rye. As an anorak of a well poured dram, I have always wanted to find a neighborhood spot that can also be a hub to expand my knowledge in the world of acqua vitae. I was recently calling shops close to my home in search of my daily drinker(Lagavulin 16) which seems to have become difficult to find. Daniel answered the phone and told me they had a bottle but it was reserved and the client hadn't picked it up in over a week. Daniel told me he would call the client and see if he was still interested. Daniel called me back in 10 minutes, told me he had spoken to the client who was out of state and that the bottle is all mine if I wanted. I went to pick my bottle up the next day and walked into what felt like heaven. Tall wooden shelves packed with holy grails, oddities and favorites. I was in disbelief of how epic this shop was. Daniel was working and showed me around with top of the line customer service and an impeccable amount of knowledge. He offered me a tasting of some newly acquired islay scotches as well. I'll be frequenting weekly from now on. I look forward to being called by my first name when I walk in again soon. Obviously I walked out with my daily drinker and a plus one bottle. read more

Ok so this is my favorite of the Primo stores, I started coming to this one first. (The Weston one is great too ok but this is where I got started lol) a beautiful and extensive collection of liquor, wines, champagne. Primo is the best when it comes to liquor, hands down! The Davie location is where I found it for the first time, the staff as always is amazing to say the least! Everyone is so cool, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. They really know their stuff, and genuinely care about their customers. They have great deals and work with great brands, bringing in new and delicious things you can't find elsewhere. They also host tastings as well, which teach you so much, I love going to them as I always learn so many new things and you get to try so many liquors and wines, I love it because I try things I would never think to buy or even know existed. It's also cool because they have the brand representatives come in, they teach you about the brand and you learn alot honestly. Some smaller companies come in too and share their products, its awesome. If you let them know what you like they can do their best to help you pick things and ensure you are getting a good purchase. I've been here many times before and each time I have to say customer service is awesome! The owner and family always says hi and gets to know what you like to drink. On several occasions he has offered samples from different bottles to try the new stuff or just ones we've never tried before. (I don't know anywhere else that does that!) The employees know their stuff about all they carry and they have a lot of bottles way cheaper than other liquor stores. Phenomenal selection of wines at prices that can't be beat. I never go in knowing exactly what I want, but the owner and his colleagues are always willing to recommend based on your preferences... and each time it feels like genuine advice, not a sales person pushing to make a buck! The variety of wines they have is also absolutely incredible!! They stock very high quality whites and reds, and at unbeatable prices. Absolutely some of the best prices for wine. You have to be open to trying what's in stock, as many items are deeply discounted closeout deals. The shop can also be a great place for wine geeks; many wines from not-so-known regions end up on the shelves in small quantities. I was under the impression small stores were always over priced, they were cheaper than total wine and costco ect on everything that matters. a few examples glenlivet 15 was 16$ cheaper, 39.99 vs 56.99, glenlivet 18 was 69.99 vs 99.99 dimple pinch 21.99 vs 31.99 etc and it was the same story as the wines. wish i had found them sooner read more

I love this place! Kaushal always has a phenomenal selection of amazing wines! He's extremely knowledgeable as well, so if he doesn't have what you're looking for his recommendation for something similar is usually on point. He had one of my favorite Pinot Noirs from the Willamette Valley in Oregon that no one else had and he had it incredibly priced. I don't live anywhere near Davie, but it's worth the trek every now and again to stock my wine fridge.
