The pre-K here is Georgia Funded and it's on a first come basis. So they set a date early in the year and you pretty much come by 7 or something to stand in line and hope you get a spot. They have a few different classrooms with different start times. You can request a certain time if it works better for you. So far my daughter has been there for a few weeks and she loves it. I ask her everyday what she thinks and she never has a bad thing to say. They learn different things on a weekly basis. We're only on week 3 so I can't really comment on the learning aspect. They have optional internet monitoring. You pay extra for it if you want it. It's not the best but it's cheap. You can't watch the video on a MAC or on a newer 64 bit computer so you better have an old one. Luckily my father had one. :) The video you see is in one corner of the room your child is in and that's all you get. But to be honest, its okay to check in every once in a while. In my opinion you shouldn't be glued to the video at home anyway. You should have a little trust.

Unfortunately, my experience with the corporate side was really disappointing. After only two weeks of enrollment, corporate changed course on how my scholarship would be handled and came back asking me to cover costs that were supposed to be included. As a result, we were no longer able to continue at the school, right as my son was adjusting so well. It was frustrating to have things pulled out from under us so quickly, and it left me feeling like there's a real communication gap between corporate and the actual school directors when it comes to billing and scholarships. I'd recommend this location for the teachers and environment, but families relying on scholarship or financial assistance should ask a lot of questions upfront about how corporate handles those arrangements.

We waited a few weeks after withdrawing him before sharing our experience because we wanted to be sure he was adjusting well in a different environment and he truly is. Pros: Good curriculum and a clean, secure facility. Cons: From the very first day, his teacher (Angela) repeatedly told us that he "doesn't listen," and that first impression never seemed to change. Instead of partnering with us, we felt that our son was being singled out with a continued negative focus. We tried to discipline him more at home based on this feedback, and in hindsight, we regret how this affected him. Communication was almost nonexistent. We asked for weekly updates and only received one. The school app, where teachers are expected to communicate, had very limited personalized information. Interactions with his teacher often felt unfriendly. When we greeted her in the mornings, she provided cold response, which made us feel unwelcome rather than supported. Management was unaware of these ongoing issues until we brought them up. While they expressed willingness to help, but we felt that their suggestions were not convincing. We completely understand that teachers can be firm, that is perfectly fine. But fairness and collaboration matter. When a child is viewed through a negative lens from day one, that can impact not only their confidence but also the parent-school relationship. We ultimately removed him because we did not want him in an environment that felt discouraging. He is now attending a new Pre-K program and has adjusted wonderfully. In several weeks, we have not received a single complaint from his new teachers. This reassured us that his struggles at Goddard were not due to who he is as a child, but the environment he was placed in. Most reviews for this school are very positive, and that is exactly why we feel obligated to share our honest experience. If we had known, we would not have enrolled our son here.
