Lakeview Montessori provided the best experience in early childhood education for our children and we are so grateful that they attended the school for many years. The school's approach to child-based learning was a wonderful introduction to the Montessori method, which has set our children up incredibly well for the rest of their education and life! The school's facility is large and open, with beautiful outdoor play spaces and lots of space in each of the classrooms. The teachers are highly qualified and especially caring. Every day our children spent at the school, we know was a day well spent where they learned many subjects, experimented, socialized with peers and were nurtured in a trusting and safe environment. The school's Director, Jayme, runs an amazing establishment and Montessori program. It was very comforting for us to see Jayme and the other teachers and staff everyday. As parents, we are so thrilled that Lakeview Montessori School was an option for us. We have two children, a boy and girl, and we spent a total of 6 wonderful years at the school. The educators and administration of this school are deeply trained in the Montessori method, and our children were so very well prepared for primary school when they started. We also had a dear teacher and teacher's aides through their time at the school, who cared deeply for our kids, and we miss them! One of the amazing things about this school is the approach to learning and "work." The teachers instill a fundamental desire for students to enjoy their work and gain a deep sense of autonomy and pride that comes from putting their best foot forward. Our son thrived with the pre-math curriculum and he now routinely scores in the 90th+ percentile in math, science and reading in primary school. This school is so terrible school . Staff is not so professional. They push me out the door when I came there picked up my daughter clothes. She asked me to time for me to leave. School opened for kid and parents to visit theirs kids but they let us go. We paid money for my daughter for go school but they treat us not respect at all.. They asked us paid more money for school. But we did asking for helping about our situation, Jayme told us that they cannot refunded money but we can send our kid for 1 months school tuition. We did send my daughter, my kid got hit from one boy. Secondly, my daughter haven't anyone pay attention or take care of her. She felt lonely there. read more

Both my twin daughters attended this school years ago. We absolutely loved it, many of my friends ever since sent their children to Lakeview and still do! Classrooms are opened with huge windows, and parents have access to live footage of their children's classrooms; which ensures a safe environment. Cleanliness of the facility is another important aspect that attracted us to the school. Classrooms are spacious, well-aired, and regularly maintained which shows a clear understanding from both the school management and staff of the importance of a well-prepared environment for children. I definitely attest that the two years my twin daughters spent in this school are of their happier years! One of my twin daughters struggled with strong separation anxiety at the beginning but Ms. Jayme (the school director) and Ms. Fountain (her teacher back then) were so understanding and supportive. Ms. Jayme would hold her hand everyday and walk her to her classroom and Ms. Fountain would be by her side till my daughter was comfortable in her new environment. KG year was the best! My daughters wrote letters to each other to invite each others for lunch at both classrooms, works and lessons were challenging yet accommodating to their learning needs. My daughters grew up to be strong readers who love and enjoy reading thanks to their amazing teachers then and to the healthy nurturing environment provided by Lakeview Montessori. When I read on Facebook last year that Lakeview was announced the best school in the Eastside by 425 Magazine; I was not surprised. I was also lucky to intern in this same school and to learn about true Montessori under the supervision of its amazing teachers and school director. I then worked there for 5 years. Working environment was fun, rewarding, and inclusive. Jamie Stahl and her team are amazing. The school is always tidy and clean. The staff is well trained and know exactly how to take care of the children. I noticed in several situations how patient they are when handling fussy kids. I had my 3 girls in the past and my boy now is attending the Lakeview Montessori School. After hearing other parents leave our previous preschool to come here, we looked at it in early 2010. However we were not sold on this Montessori name. It is such a catch phrase I was not familiar with that is so frequently thrown out there but meaning very different things. So we waited and enrolled our daughter here in 2011. I am so thrilled! Why didn't we come here earlier? Yes, they have 4 large classrooms in this great modern space. The ages are mixed. I was unsure about how this worked. However 3 months into it, it is incredible. My daughter is learning how to relate with older and younger children. Her ability to relate with other ages is especially important as a only child. She is academically stimulated with a diverse amount of subjects. They sent home a "Student Progress Report" of 12 Practical Life, 10 Sensorial, 5 Art, 3 Writing, 9 Language, 16 Math, 5 Geography, 3 Science & Human Culture, 3 Group Activities, 5 Social Skills, 4 Learning Strategy Skills with a detailed Note on my child's progress. I am thrilled to see how well the Teacher looked at each child to assess there development. To have something to work from next quarter. I won't go into the details of this report with regard to grading, as not to give away to competitors the fantastic tools they have, but WOW. Very impressed! I feel like my daughter is in the best care. My daugher is learning phonics, writing words, doing math, geography, etc. Great fun and learning. I do not want "daycare" I want Preschool, stimulation, a quality experience. This is ideal! The school knows how to cultivate each child and allow them the opportunity to work on different skills. I was a little taken back on how they don't heat lunches we pack, but the more we are there, it is fine. I don't think elementary school will heat my packed lunch up either. Take a Thermos & Ice Pack. I can put any hot food in the thermos, which is hot. Ice pack in the bag is cold. The parents donate a snack each month, of which they provide a Dr. approved list of ORGANIC and HEALTHY foods. Wow, high standards here. I am not the healthiest eater, not all natural or organic, but I can appreciate how they have higher standards for caring for my child. Thats great! Will make eating at home easier to promote healthy eating habits. They do not require a nap which is great because my daughter had outgrown it. If she chooses to take a nap, they have cots for children to nap on and have a dedicated nap time. Although it also saves me a lot of money not having to pay a daycare to have my child sleep. If she needs a nap, is taking a short one after school before dinner. My daughter loves her teacher. She also loves her classmates. The business owners are 2 very professional and likable women. They are such a pleasure to work with. I also love our Teacher, to take such as genuine interest in my child! Another feature I love is we can choose different care times & days. They have coupons so that if you run late or need a couple extra hours, can use these coupons for extended care. The school offers after school extra curricular activities which is great for those of us who would love to have these but either can't drive all over town early from work or isn't it just nice to have onsite? My Daughter is taking Little Kickers Soccer at School! Loved that soccer and now its hosted after school onsite! There were also Art Classes. Affordable add on! Love it! There playgroud is fantastic. Astro turf so my child doesnt come home dirty. Previous preschool had her coming home dirty most days, even had supplied them with water proof pants to put on top of her clothes to prevent the wet dirty clothes. This playground is clean, my child comes home clean. If she is doing art projects, etc, the teachers promote taking care of yourself as not to make a mess. I am thrilled with this school. Such an amazing school!!! With the COVID virtual school situation, we decided to pull our daughter from public school and enroll her in Lakeview Montessori Kindergarten. She has learned so much in the last few months. The leadership, culture, and positive vibe of the school have been incredible....even during such a tough time with COVID. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how well our son adjusted to this school. He was so attached to his mommy and daddy all summer that we thought he was going to have a really hard time going back to school, especially a new school. However, after only a minor meltdown when we dropped him off, he jumped right into his work and the new routine. The school is brand new and its a gem. Its the nicest looking preschool that I've visited and the playground area is huge. The building is secure and you need to be buzzed in. During pick up and drop off time, the teachers escort the children to and from the car, something our son's last school didn't offer. Of course you always have the option of walking them in yourself, something my husband and I opted for the first couple of days. My favorite feature of this school is that each classroom is equipped with classroom cameras that only the parents and staff can access. Its so nice to be able to peak in on my son's day from the convenience of my own computer. Since it just opened up a week ago, the classroom sizes are small and the students get a lot of individual attention from the teachers. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they seem to truly enjoy working with the children. Our son appears to be very comfortable in his new surroundings and seems to take his work, play and new responsibilities very seriously. It was so cute to watch him clean up after himself during lunch and sit so calmly during circle time. Even though this school has only been open for a week, we are very happy with it and take a lot of comfort in knowing that we can check in on him at anytime through the cameras and through talking with the staff. We would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a high quality Montessori education for their child, or just needs to find a preschool in which they are comfortable leaving their children. read more

I have taken my child to 2 different preschools in this area and Lakeview Montessori definitely stands out among the rest. After doing numerous preschool/daycare tours, it was clear that this school is special. When taking tours in other schools, kids were running around, screaming ect... but when I walked in for the Lakeview Montessori it was like a different world. The children were not screaming, but interacting quietly and were ALL were acting well behaved. Jayme Stahl, the director gave the tour and in every room we walked into, children lit up when they saw her and gave her hugs. It has almost been one year since we have been there and now my other child will start Tuesday. Our family is very happy at Lakeview Montessori and I highly recommend it. read more

My daughter has been attending LakeView montessori since 3 years now and will soon transition to public school kindergarten. 3 years ago we moved our daughter from Bright Horizons Kirkland into LakeView Montessori. I was little concerned at that time given my daughtr was 2.5 yrs old and would need nap time. Ms Jayme ensured that she got the nap time for first 1 year. We are really happy to have done the transition and cannot recommend Lakeview Motessori enough. Ms Jayme is a really capable administrator , as long as she is around I think this place will be one of the best pre-school programs around. The classrooms are well-lit , huge, colorful and bright. My daughter attended Bluebell room by Ms Jarrouge. She is a very capable teacher and has right portions of being strict and friendly with kids. The other teachers are also very nice and friendly. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is a) lack of food b) lack of enforcement with regards to eating food c) some after-school teachers are very passive and don't seem to engage kids that well.
