The staff here are incredible and genuinely care about each individual student. They know the families and take time to ensure that each child feels welcome, a sense of belonging, and that they are valued members of the school. All year I have felt as though the staff have wrapped their arms around our entire family, including grandparents who regularly pick up my child. Educationally, my child is well prepared for kindergarten and he has showed excitement about his learning. From weaving in daily routines that mimic that of a kindergarten classroom, teaching, foundational reading skills and math concepts, they create a learning space that is highly engaging and prepares children for elementary school. My kid was eager to share all that he was learning and proud of the work he brought home each day. Perhaps the greatest indicator of a successful preschool year was that my son regularly wanted to go to school. He showed disappointment on the weekend or when he didn't have an extended lunch buddy day. The fact that he loved school and his teachers were proof enough that this is an incredible school. This preschool has a true community feel and I couldn't be happier about the warm environment that my child spent a year in. I wish I had found this gem sooner and can't wait to have my youngest go there as soon as he is able to.

Prior to AIP I had my children in a co-op, but with more kids it was challenging to work in the classroom. My first draw to AIP with 3 kids 3 and under was that they have DRIVE THRU drop-off and pick-up, so I didn't need to get my other two kids out of the car. Now that my older 3 are in elementary I don't need this as much, but it still can be a great option (especially if I'm running 5-10 minutes late!) They have a lot of great enrichments across the year (these vary depending on what class you're in) field trips: pumpkin farm, farm, Kirkland Storybook Theater, Children's Museum, fire station, pond, as well as lots of incursions: bunnies, reptile man or lady, police officer, fire fighters, dentist and then of course mommy and muffins, daddy and donuts, Valentine, Easter, and harvest parties as well as an end-of year carnival in 4s and 5s classes. They also have a Christmas and end of year program. Note, this program only runs through May, this surprised me the first couple years, but they have offered a 2-3 week "summer camp" extention into June for those who want a longer year. My two oldest boys and my youngest will attend the 5s class which is a great option for children that need an extra year before kindergarten or are on the older end. They have a great balance of educational curriculum which addresses kindergarten readiness through zoophonics, writing their name, numbers and colors (again, based on age), daily art and lots of play (rotation of toys and sensory activities). They will meet with you in January to let you know how your student is doing, but they are very responsive if you have a concern or want to know more sooner. They either go outside or set up indoor movement play activity, this isn't an outdoor preschool so if it's a rainy day they won't necessarily go outside. They regularly post photos to their private Facebook group so you can see what's going on inside of the classroom. We love Arrowhead Inglemoor Preschool, it is has been a great fit for our family! Note: This is a preschool that runs out of Epiphany Lutheran Church and they will sing Christmas songs, and go to chapel once a month and learn a Bible story. If that is something that bothers you, this probably isn't the right preschool for you!

However, Upper Elementary was a different experience. In my opinion, it's not worth it. The academic pace feels slow and behind. You might get lucky and end up in a class where the teacher sets higher expectations(I heard from my child there is only one class), but otherwise, it's hard to justify staying that long just for academics. If academic progress isn't your main concern, it could still be fine. Overall, this school may is not the best fit for fast learners. Teachers focus on keeping the class balanced, which often means slowing down advanced students to match the majority's pace.

Due to moves, our daughter has been to two other schools, and WMS has been exceptionally better…read morethan the other. The environment is calm, positive, and incredibly welcoming. The student-to-teacher ratio is wonderful (23 students and three teachers). The school administration and teachers proactively communicate. The lead teacher in Dogwood is an absolute blessing. She has been very attentive to our daughter's anxiety, and our daughter has blossomed in this classroom. The school celebrates many cultural holidays, and our whole family has been enjoying the community events hosted by parent volunteers. The school sends visibly sick children home, as they should (not our experience with previous schools). We are thankful for fewer sick days because of this. Our only feedback would be to increase recess/outdoor time and to add additional greenery to the outdoor areas.

Our child enjoys the structured activities and has shown great progress in social skills and independence. The curriculum is well-rounded, focusing on both academic and personal growth. School facility is clean and well-organized, and the management is very professional, responsive and genuinely care about the well-being of the children. Also, we get detailed reports about our child's activities including photos, meals, nap times each day, which helps us to stay informed. Our daughter enjoys her time at school and we highly recommend this school for a nurturing environment.

As he gradually eased into the environment, thanks to his teachers' appreciation of cultural diversity, our boy can now confidently express his ideas in sentences in front of the class. We are especially thankful to Ms. Jerrica's dedication to creating fun and creative curriculum, and Mr. Jan's commitment to guiding them through big emotions. Our little one benefited a lot from his love for learning and the habit of meditation. Throughout the past two years, we also noticed his growing independence. Not just simply taking care of himself, but also his strong sense of being the true self and to advocate for what he believes in. He was never forced into any "correct" answers at school, but encouraged to explore and reason. The Director Joanne, Assistant Director RJ, and Toddler Teachers Ms. Cami and Ms. Helen have been a God-send. They have and continuously uphold high standards, truly care about the wellbeing and education of your child, and are genuinely invested in having your family as a part of their community. It was a steep learning curve for myself, being anxious entrusting my treasure and heart to complete strangers, but through transparent communication and above and beyond efforts from the individuals above, trust and bonds were quickly built. The teachers are always focused on interacting with the children at their level and are so engaged during every moment of everyday. Both teachers put in so much time and effort, not only for the children, but also the classroom environment, so that the children truly get the best experience possible!! From the very beginning, the environment has felt warm, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers and admin staff are so kind and caring, and it's clear they truly love what they do. They always take a few minutes to chat during drop-off and pick-up, which makes me feel connected and reassured about how my little one's day is going. The staff always rave about my little one and how cute and wonderful they are. Warms my heart. One of my favorite things is receiving pictures throughout the day. It's so comforting to see my little one smiling, playing, and being well cared for while I'm at work. I also really appreciate how the teachers partner with parents and share Montessori activities we can try at home. It's been so special to learn simple ways to support my child's development and continue some of the same learning and exploration outside of school. I'm so grateful for the care and attention the staff provides, and it has given me such peace of mind knowing my baby is in such good hands. For some reason only the negative reviews are showing up here on the main page. I know most of those 13 other people, they are great people and all have children at the preschool. They should most certainly be relevant. On with my review.... Being a new parent was very intimidating for me. Had they been boys, I likely would have been the "men don't cry, rub some dirt on it and walk it off" type dad. I'm extremely thankful I had two girls as it made me toss that parenting plan out the window. Sadly, I didn't have a backup in place. Our first daughter was around 18 months old or so and our photographer (who had 2 kids at WFP and also has a "not currently recommended review) strongly suggested WFP. We had actually started the preschool hunt about the same time, so we went to the open house. The open house was good, didn't blow our socks off or anything. We still shopped around for other schools. Most of the "preschools" we tutored, were really just day care. 2 or three burnt out adults trying to wrangle a mass of toddlers who have 0 impulse control. A couple of the tours were just an eyeful of staff running around putting out fires (not literally) and trying to keep the place in one piece. No time for nurturing, one on one care, educating. Really, just mayhem. Which of course has it's purpose as well, developing those social skills is very important and what better environment to do that in than the Thunderdome. Our eldest was very shy around strangers and had extreme separation anxiety. WFP won out our hunt simply because we could be there with her to hold her hand whatever that little brain was going through... Since my review is already getting a bit wordy, I'll just say this last week (3 years later) my daughter gave a presentation from her journal in front of the entire class as though no one else was there. She is strong, confident, and extremely outgoing. She has made quite a few friends at the preschool and by the end of the weekend she is excited to get back at it. Our youngest is frequently jealous of our eldest because she only gets to go to preschool one day a week (ups to 3 days a week next year). She has also flourished at the preschool though she is about as opposite of her sister as one could be. So I say thanks to WFP. My parenting plan is to raise confident women with a depth of self worth whose bottom will never be found and I strongly believe that Beth, Cecile, Jodie, and the other parents of WFP have given my girls the foundation they will need to achieve those goals.

In some ways we wish we would have kept her in through the primary grade. Our experience was so positive. She needed extra care and nurturing in the infant room. She just wasn't the kind of baby you could easily hand off to others, but the teachers in the infant room held her constantly and really went out of their way to help her to settle in. They would even hold her while she slept which was amazing. She progressed through each class really well thanks to the care, kindness, expertise and nurturing of the teachers. What we really loved was that they could accommodate the individual needs of our child in a way that helped her to make friends, while growing her skills and confidence. The focus on, kindness, life-skills and academics is perfect. Now that we've moved on to a public school we truly see the value of the school. Our daughter is reading more than a grade level above her class and doing math that is a grade level ahead of her class. She is testing higher in nearly every academic area than her peers. We feel we owe much of this to the work of the countryside teachers who were so dedicated to her. We recommend Countryside to any friends looking for schools.

I have had two children attend there through the years and the staff turn-over is very low. The director is incredibly thoughtful and friendly and caring. She goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable with your children in their care. One of the best parts is the school's flexibility. You can choose two, three, four, or five days per week, choose the days, and choose the amount of time. The regular day is 9-1 and the kids eat lunch at school. You can also choose a longer day of 9-3, and/or before and after care which would cover a full work day. They follow the LWSD school district calendar, for the most part, and also offer summer camps. I couldn't be more pleased with our time at Good Sam School!
