This review is not written lightly. We recently left Primrose after losing trust in the school's administration and the stability of our daughter's classroom environment. From August through May, our daughter had eight different teachers in her classroom. That level of turnover made it very difficult for the classroom to have the consistency, structure, and experienced instruction we expected. At this age, children need a reliable presence to build emotional safety, trust, and developmental confidence. Instead, the classroom often felt unstable, and we saw noticeable changes in behavior during periods of teacher turnover and classroom stress. To be clear, this is not a criticism of every teacher. We are grateful for Ms. Jordan, Ms. Spivey, and Ms. McNulty, who cared for our daughter and did their best in a difficult environment. The issue, in our view, was administrative: hiring, training, supporting, and retaining teachers, as well as listening to parent concerns. We raised concerns earlier in the year and requested a classroom change, but we did not feel heard. When changes were eventually made, teachers were moved again, despite our desire for consistency. Over time, the repeated disruptions broke our confidence in the school. Several families ultimately chose to leave, which speaks to how serious the concerns became. We were disappointed there was no inquiry, exit conversation, or request for feedback after our departure. Without stronger administrative accountability, I worry other families may experience the same challenges. read more

This was not the right fit for our family. We recommend that prospective families ask teachers directly how challenging moments are handled in practice (including whether raising voices is used and whether children are excluded from certain activities or areas), and how communication is managed day to day. It's also important to ask how class size is determined throughout the day, including how part-time attendance is counted, and to confirm these details with both teachers and administration. Attended a walkthrough a few times considering school here. Halls are dark and narrow. From closely related feedback and pickup of personal family, the teacher turnover is constant. Each time I visit everyone seems "new". read more

Everyone at this school is amazing. Both my kids attended for a couple of years and I've never seen a daycare treat their employees and families so well. Ms.Wasson is an incredible photographer and Ms. Finn is always calm and kind. They are generous with gifts to families and to the kids during parties and celebrations that they host. We had our daughter at primrose from August of 2020 through May of 2021, in both preschool and Pre-K, and we had a fantastic experience. Primrose is a very nice facility with big, clean rooms and great playgrounds, including the splash pad. Our daughter learned so much, both socially and academically, and was very loved by the teachers and staff. The center provides meals, hosts lots of wonderful events, and even gives out cookies on Fridays. Special shout-out to Ms. Johnson who was our daughter's amazing preK teacher. Primrose is moderately expensive but worth every single penny. read more

This Primrose School is amazing! The leadership team is very responsive and proactive in keeping students safe and healthy. The teachers are kind and nurturing and truly love working with the children in their care. My children love attending Primrose, both during the school year for my youngest and summer camp for my oldest. It gives me such peace of mind to know that my children are safe and loved, not to mention learning so much every day! read more

I took my child to Primrose for a few months and had the worst experience ever. The place is not sanitary. When picking up my child the teacher did not wipe the changing table between changing diapers for multiple children. There was paper there to but not used. My son was became very ill and I never received a call from the center that my child was sick and was infecting the other children. He had conjunctivitis and was playing with other kids while green goop poured from his little eyes. My child constantly had diaper rash like he had been sitting in poo for an extended amount of time. There are two directors and an owner who are clueless. The directors don't communicate and have differing opinions that is parents get caught between. There were two times I picked up my child feeling guilty for leaving him at Primrose. No mother should ever feel that way. Primrose I thought was supposed to be top of the line, a standard above standards, however I was incorrect. I would not now or ever recommend the Primrose location in Georgetown. Do not trust your children to the care of Tina the owner or Sarah or Lindsay the directors. read more

Love love love this place! It's a fantastic learning environment for kids with a great staff! They are always doing new projects, going on field tips and are constantly learning while having fun. This place is always clean and is truly a family run business. They are the nicest people and are actively involved in the community. I love Primrose. Big fan! read more

Primrose is a great daycare/school. My kids love it and my son who is in the preK class has learned so much! He comes home telling me about bats, Goodilocks and speaking spanish. There are multiple teachers in each class who each spend time with the kids, so there is a great classroom feel but also the one on one that many kids need. I also have one in the toddlers class and I love the attention she gets there from her teachers, they are so caring and amazing teachers. Both my kids love the food that is served and trying new vegetables straight out of the garden outside. The staff is caring and wonderful, attention to detail is magnificent. Update to my previous review with 2 kiddos now enrolled in their fantastic classes. My son is currently attending their Private Kindergarten and looks forward to it everyday. The teachers go above and beyond to make the kids experience so positive. My daughter is in the toddler class and loves it equally. We made a great choice 3 years ago by moving our oldest here and they both have thrived ever since. read more

High staff turnover. Poor communication within mgmt. Floor is always dirty, never smells clean at pick-up or drop-off. Poor structure within the classroom. AM teachers do not communicate well with PM teachers. They do not follow their own policy when moving a child up to the next class. Simply force the parent to move the child up even if the child has not met the required developmental milestones. Then they say they will accommodate and with random drop-ins by us (the parents) find that this is not being done! We've been going to Primrose now for 5 months. My kids are in PreK and an Early Learning class. The teachers are very professional and kind. My oldest is learning Spanish, Science, Math, Spelling and how to Read. Whatever it is they do, it has helped my kids so much. Their confidence has skyrocketed. The thing I like most is how busy they keep the kids. My kids being home tons of things and tell me all about their daily adventures. The teachers definitely teaching and not just watching my kids. read more

I cannot recommend Primrose enough. My son started at age 1, and he has just thrived! I NEVER worry after I drop him off there. Every single staff member makes a point to say goodbye to him and knows him by name, it reassures me that he is in extra good hands. Having to be away from your baby is hard, and Primrose makes it so much better. I couldn't have asked for a better place for him to be. read more

Our daughter is 5 years old and we've been taking her to Primerose for the last two years and we absolutely love it. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The administration team provides all necessary supports that are expected, and needed. Our daughter is excelling beyond our expectations due to the areas of concentration with their curriculum. I am surprised to see a negative comment on this page about Primrose of Georgetown. My child has been at Primrose of Georgetown for quite some time and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this school! They have an AWESOME management team and one of the most friendly group of teachers I have ever seen. The school and classrooms are clean and neat. The teachers are consistently following all the classroom procedures and I have never had a problem with anyone not taking care of my child. In fact she comes home on the weekends begging me to go to school because she has the best time. Primrose of Georgetown sets the bar extremely high for all schools and teachers to come in my daughters future. read more

It felt like an institution, definitely not for us. We visited here recently to consider it for our newborn, and first off the director lady seemed like high anxiety and very uncomfortable speaking with us just in general. We were only allowed to visit the infant room and those teachers were not super friendly they seemed uncomfortable and almost scared to speak in front of the director. The school charges a separate fee for supplies $200/yr. I understand there is a cost for these items but do you really need to charge it separately? Why can that not just be included in the overall cost of tuition? Makes no sense to me. Then when we asked if we could see the other classes, we were only allowed to peep through the windows and every class had at least one child screaming crying and the the overall class was not doing anything that seemed like learning or productive just walking around playing with toys. I noticed that as we were peeping through the windows that they all had the same back packs so I asked why all the same and she had some story about how as they move up but yes they are provided a backpack, where is the originality for the child? Maybe a small detail to some but for me, the overall feeling was not warm and inviting and felt like an institution. To top off all of the screaming children, clearly they are not happy and it wasn't just one it was multiple different classes you could hear them all over the place. We will not be sending our children to an institution we will take them to a loving environment where they can also learn. This was just a first impression but it was not a good one and I don't care how great the curriculum is, if I don't feel you will care for my child in a loving way then there is no need for us to proceed. read more
