They have consistently provided superb service and follow-through, so I recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a PCP. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I missed an appointment due to an emergency, called them beforehand to let them know, and they said it would be enough since it was an emergency. Called to reschedule, they said I never called so I'd have to pay. Asked them to check their system, they didn't find evidence of my call. I called back to reschedule again, the said they found the notes in their system, but I'd have to appeal formally. I asked them what proof was needed, and they said I'd just have to make the claim that I had emergency surgery. So I asked what's the difference between now and then, since I had already done that and what would constitute as proof to waive the fee. They couldn't really answer, transferred me to billing and billing said they couldn't do anything, I'd have to talk to the practice. I asked billing to get on the call with me and the practice, and they said they would, but they did a simple transfer instead. When I finally agreed to pay and appeal later, they didn't have the appointment I needed. One big circus, wasting everyone's time, over 25 dollars.

I really like NP Ellis and I liked being able to get my blood work done in office. However, the front desk staff were rude and unorganized. They tried to charge me for someone else's appointment while checking out when I'd already paid, and were pushing their paperwork towards me. I figured this was just a bad day for them or maybe they were very busy. A few months later as an established patient I needed an appointment due to an injury. I'm not kidding when I say I spent over an hour trying to get ahold of anyone from the office. There is no way to make an appointment online, their website says to text them during business hours but they don't reply. I left messages, I stayed on hold... I will say when I finally got to speak with someone she was super friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Carla) and she set me up with NP Greene as Ellis was booked. I absolutely love NP Greene! She really listened to me, had a reasonable approach to my problem, and even sent medications to my pharmacy to help with my issue. I felt like she tackled every avenue and was very thorough. So naturally I'd love to see her again. Had a cold about 3 weeks ago and thought I'd try to get in to see her, called the office, texted, never heard back. Now I'm trying to make my annual appointment, and can't get anyone to answer. I leave a message, they say they'll call back, they don't. Seriously, what kind of office is this?!? If I were a provider working here I'd be pretty mad that my patients were being ignored and unable to even schedule an appointment with me. I am going to continue to try to book an appointment to see NP Greene because I really did appreciate her care, but the scheduling department is in desperate need of an overhaul.

Full review: I had my second appoinment with Dr. Hussain and ended up leaving the office. Heres why: During my military deployment as a Flight Medic last year, my PCP retired. Since then I have had issues finding a PCP. The PCP I saw prior to Dr. Hussain had a dirty office, rotated NP's (no continuity of care), and never saw me anywhere close to on time. (I know that our medical system is overloaded and wait times reflect that). My first encounter with Dr. Hussain was pretty straight-forward, I established care and explained my previous medical history. This second visit was for three specific conditions and a possible referral. As with other reviews, I couldn't reach anyone at the front desk on the first call (the prompter sends you straight to VM). However I did get a prompt call back from the Front desk, and surprisingly Dr. Hussain, so kudos for that. However at the appointment, I was seen 30 minutes after my appointment time. I felt as if Dr. Hussain had a difficult time understanding what I was trying to say. We focused on injury that I sustained in the military, and I felt like he was trying to pawn me of to the VA. After us going back and forth about being seen at the VA, he left the office to retrieve a referral for X-rays and waited by the door. After I told him I still had other concerns, he looked flustered and stated something to the extent of "I should've told him." Now at this point I'm irritated because at the time you schedule an appointment, you are asked the reason for the visit. So he comes back with his laptop, sits down and states that I'm "taking away from other patients." Thats where the visit ended for me. Again, let me reiterate I understand that PCP's are swamped. I'm a Critical-Care flight medic and Firefighter, I know how it goes. As a patient seeking care from Dr. Hussain, his comments were unacceptable and unprofessional. I told him being referred to a psychiatrist would be a great start and he totally ignored us while leaving the room. On a side note, rushing through patients is a norm for him as well. My first appointment, she was very transactional and very I interested and distant. Only taking to her laptop and barely looking up from her computer sounding like a robot and not personable one bit. That appointment lasted all about 15 minutes and she in that 15 minutes already determined that She will take me off of 2 medications I have been on and one that I have used occasionally and safely for many years without question. In between appointments, I had called for a refill on prescription and was called back and told the doctor will be taking me off the medication and will no longer be filling. My 3 month follow up was just as upsetting and disappointed. I questioned the doctor why I had such a message of she was not going to refill a prescription and she did not have a valid andswer besides it's addictive and blah blah. I was on the lowest dosage and never over requested for refills. Sometimes going months between. Was told I need to see a psychiatrist and made the referral. Later, I was reviewing my medical records for another procedure I was having, I discovered this Doctor noted in my records that I had a dependency and addiction to the medication all off of a 15 minute conversation. When discussing this with the psychiatrist she referred the psychiatrist she referred said the previous doctor couldn't be more incorrect and she sees absolutely NO SIGNS of dependency and said that the doctor can update her records and if she needs to talk to her to reach out. I sent a message to the doctor via her patient portal and asked her to correct her records because I do not want dependency or addiction accusations following me for the future and the doctor refuses to make corrections and came up with some bullshit reasons why it's not as bad as it seems. Dr. Hernandez needs to educate herself more on treating her patients and improve her bedside manner. I will never go back to this clinic. She did no kind of treatments or attempts to help her patient but just passed judgement and refusing treatments that works for the patient in the past.
