We had a party of 160 people and all our guests were very surprised how elegant the place looked. Everything was highly coordinated. Food was amazing and the bar offered a great and fast service. DJ was on point with the music, nobody stopped dancing. Yamila the photographer spent all night taking as many pictures as possible and Daisy (ceremony master) was outstanding coordinating the ceremony and the party front the beginning to the end. Entrees were totally disappointing. Meat was seriously overcooked (well done - I don't do anything above medium rare). These were essentially chew toys. Lots of rice - but the addition of lots of currants brought a sweet element that was off putting given the inedible meat, along with the unseasoned carrot slices served as a side. Flan was dense, no creaminess at all - definitely did not taste or feel freshly made. The hosts and company made the night enjoyable and memorable. Big Five - tonight you were a big zero and provided some regrettable memories during this wonderful event. Hoping things improve before, like Que Pasa USA, this place, for me, is cancelled and gone. They do not pay attention to anything. Example: all the parks in Doral are free and they have better basketball courts (The Big Five Club) only has one and it's a disrespect for the members because that's not even a court. Tennis courts are a disaster. Then we have all the club house full of ugly old restaurants instead of using the space for something better (like a bigger gym). To enter the club there is a security guard questioning if you are a member or not which doesn't even have a system (computer) to verify. And then they ask what can they do to attract the youth. This is the perfect example of lack of Leadership and excellence.

Needless to say, I paid her back, and kept going back to her place until they got shut down. TLDR: Epic Jamaican. Way, way inexpensive for what you get. One meal would provide my wife and I each with at least two amazing, home-cooked meals each (and though I'm thin, I'm not a little guy). At most, that's $3.50 per meal. And again, some of the most kind, welcoming people you'll ever know. Why is Dade County such a bad place to run a food truck? The food here never made us sick even once.
