The Princeton Medical Group urgently needs to confront the reality that its current staffing and patient‑care model is not keeping pace with the demands of flu and RSV season. What happened to me is not an isolated inconvenience -- it reflects a deeper, structural problem that puts patients at risk, especially those with complex medical circumstances or limited treatment options. Day before yesterday, while acutely ill with an undiagnosed respiratory infection, I sought care at their office. The physician began the diagnostic process with rapid strep and flu testing, but did not perform a 24‑hour strep culture -- a standard step when symptoms are severe or persistent. Since that visit, I have been battling a 104‑degree fever with no relief, and because I cannot take anything stronger than Tylenol, timely follow‑up care is not optional for me; it is essential. Yesterday, I contacted the office repeatedly to express worsening symptoms, discuss the need for retesting, and request guidance. Despite the seriousness of the situation -- including the fact that I live with an immunocompromised family member awaiting a kidney transplant -- the practice was unable to accommodate any follow‑up evaluation. Not a same‑day appointment. Repeated nurse callbacks happened with no solid plan of action. This is not acceptable patient care. When a medical practice cannot respond to urgent concerns during peak illness season, patients are left with two unacceptable choices: suffer at home without adequate support or seek emergency care for issues that should be manageable in an outpatient setting. Neither outcome reflects a functioning primary‑care system. Princeton Medical Group must take responsibility for addressing these gaps. That means proactively recruiting additional nursing staff and primary care physicians, expanding triage capacity, and ensuring that high‑risk patients are not left without guidance or access to care. Flu and RSV surges are predictable. Patient abandonment should not be. My experience underscores a broader truth: the community deserves a medical practice that is prepared, responsive, and capable of delivering safe, timely care -- not one that leaves patients stranded when they need help most. I was happy to hear they had an after hours line to confer with a Dr. I called with my concern a little after 8:30 pm. The receptionist was kind and understanding and stated the Dr would give me a call. The receptionist called back shortly after with a dismissive and condescending message from the doctor. Oh it's a joke there. Both my primary and rheumatologist are awful. Rushing no end, judging my questions for conditions that are very confusing, and complete dismissal. Office staff is always rude or tired or chatting away with each other. The only thing that's good about this place is the phone number you call to set appointments - they are great! read more

dr hua is severely unwelcoming. she gasped when she read my weight. her staff said i have missed three appointments and they are trying to scam me into coming in every three months to get my medication (long story) but ive been with this facility for about 2 years and its awful, my next issue will be taken care of somewhere else. read more

Two stars because the doctors and nurses here are great and knowledgable otherwise I would have given one. I, unfortunately, have decided to go with another practice due to the logistics and admin nightmare. I would have totally stayed otherwise. It's absolutely impossible to get a hold of your doctors office - hands down the most inefficient system I have ever experienced - every call is directed to a call center and it typically takes 5-10 mins to get connected just so you can tell someone to ask the doctors office to call you back. Recently, I tried to cancel my appointment twice 3 weeks prior and still got a text saying I am scheduled for the appointment. Asked to update my phone number at least five times but they were still calling my husbands number. If it takes so much work just to cancel an appointment/ update a phone number - I absolutely cannot imagine depending on this practice for anything more important, ie my health. I hope the group can do something about this - you have good doctors, just a terrible system. read more

Before considering switiching your medical care to any of their physicians or specialists, read the SCATHING reviews here! They seem to have grown too big and impersonal to care about how patients are treated when attempting to contact them. My own experience echos that of those who posted reviews. One hour and THREE phone calls while I waited in the parking lot rather than expose myself to a waiting room. They have ONE single central phone number for three offices and numerous physicians. Calls to that main number got me put on hold for 15 minutes - 3 times. They came back each time and told me THEY could not reach anyone at their own office!!! It's a mill. Maybe its just me, but PMG these days seems to be more focused on making as much money as they can through patient billing, rather than actually providing "caring" medical healthcare. My last appointment with them was scheduled for 10:30AM. However, my doctor did not walk in until 10:45AM. Then exactly at 11:00AM, they declared that "my time was up", and left the room. Resulting in preventing me from finishing a list questions I had prepared concerning my healthcare. I can certainly understand being tied up with their previous patient and running late to be with me, but to cut me off in an attempt to get back on "their" schedule to see as many patients as they can to make as much money that day as they can, is something I just can't agree with. read more

My appointment today was for 3:45PM and so I arrived at 3:15PM, hoping that being early would speed up my visit. I wasn't taken back till 4:35PM with no chance of making my PSRC 4:45PM pickup but I stayed after calling my ride service and letting them know that I would be 15 minutes late as they close at 5PM. Yet I was another 30 minutes delayed due to the lack of help at the lab window to pick up my orange can for a home sample. Since when does it take over 90 minutes to complete an appointment? This is totally unacceptable and I want and need an explanation! I was advised that late day appointments are sometimes more precarious to manage and I should schedule earlier to have less trouble. So why don't they tell you that when you schedule the appointment? The lady behind the counter refused to help me and ignored my calling out to the lab staff. Other patients heard me calling out and asked why no one was helping me! I went back to see the lady behind the counter and she totally dismissed me and pretended she had no control over my situation but she could have gotten up and tried. Instead, she just sat there and ignored me! This is totally unacceptable! Especially since I am partially disabled and she could see that. And also, because my being late for the lab pickup was NOT my fault and she knew that too! I was told that it was too late and the lab staff had almost all gone home but it was NOT my fault that I was late. If I wasn't disabled, I would have left and come back for the orange can but I have no way of returning on my own. Is this the way you treat disabled patients who are dependent on public transit? I missed my ride home because I was almost an hour late and they left. I had to wait over an hour outside before a family member got home and could come for me! Some of your staff saw me outside and asked how I was doing if you need to verify that I was indeed waiting. I was made to wait almost an hour to get to my appointment and they had some story of a difficult patient before me. So why did I have to pay the price for a difficult patient? Why make appointments if you are NOT going to honor them? If it didn't take three months to make a new appointment I would have just left early and come back but last time I couldn't get a ride it took 3 months to make a new appointment! It takes almost 3 months to make an appointment with Dr Patel. I have been a very long-term PMG patient and have always been very happy coming here but this has crossed a line! How can you treat patients like this? I left my home at 3:00PM and got home at 6:15PM for a 15-minute appointment! read more

At first I really liked Dr Hua and going to this location for my annual appointments. However I had a Covid test done back in January 2022 which I've paid twice since then and continually receive bills for $128 on a daily basis. This place and the billing department are literally god awful and unhelpful. Whenever I call they can't explain details on why I keep getting billed and what the bill is for, although it says "office/output lab". They also threatened to send me to collections. Princeton, you literally suck. Never go here. read more

Despite great doctors and nurses, this practice is abysmal. The administrative staff are, at best, rude and at worst rude and incompetent. The front desk staff try, but they are understaffed and are not permitted to actually help patients. They can "check you in". They cannot schedule appointments or answer questions. The waiting patients commiserate with each other. The billing department is a nightmare. They will not correct mistakes, take messages and then never return calls, but they are quick to threaten you with collections agency action if you do not pay an incorrect bill. Should you ever overpay, well so sorry, we don't do refunds. The call center is the absolute worst. I would rather call an airline. I continue to ask my doctors to leave this practice. Hopefully. PMG thinks they are too big to fail. I believe Enron said the same thing!! read more

Princeton Medical Group thinks they are big and monopoly the regional medical care but they are dead wrong. There are many good doctors out there providing much better care with a better attitude. In 2017, I went to Dr Stockham for an annual physical check, which was supposed to be 100% covered by my insurance. However, he coded this appointment in a different way and it end up with a $169 bill. This place has been harassing me by sending that bill every month. I used to go to Dr. Grossman for my RA , he moved up & took over new position. He told me about new Doctor who I would be taking over me , Dr Elena Lumezano, well she & I have been butting heads for over 6 years , her bed side manner is terrible . For someone who doesn't have my pain or even RA , don't act like you know how I'm feeling . I got COVID & my RA is acting up & she would not help me out by giving me the opportunity to relax & heal my body , I needed some time off from work , I was off for a while , but needed more time , especially since now I got COVID She denied me time off , & is the most rude , insensitive Doctor ever , I will not be returning to her services ,she is heartless & miserable!! i am so fortunate to be a patient of Nurse Practitioner Beth Cooney. I have been suffering with IBS, divaticculitis, and other stomach issues for the past 20 years. I have gone to a local Gastro Dr for 19 years and never received relief. Beth Cooney suggested I stop taking all my vitamins because she stated it could irritate your stomach. Well my Gastro Dr never recommended it and I have a new lease on life. i have not experienced any Gastro issues since October. Beth Cooney gave me my life back. Beth is thorough, kind, caring and knowledgeable. Beth also has a wonderful, kind gentle, caring nurse named Lisa. I am grateful to the care they both provide and so glad I found a great medical practice I will go too for many years to come! Thank you Beth and Lisa!! Hi Ginger Hua, I came to you with acute symptoms of PCOS and a thyroid disorder. Instead of listening to my symptoms you told me - for no reason at all - "You're just depressed." "No, I'm not depressed. I know what it feels like to be depressed and this is different." "You're just depressed." Some doctors are good but you'd never really get proper care from them because they have a phone and call back system that makes life just hard. Because of this inefficient system I had miscommunication with my OBGYN which made me fearful something was wrong when it wasn't and my endocrinologist didn't call me back and I never bothered because I knew we'd just play phone tag for days. I had the flu and couldn't even see a nurse with my GP. I switched all my docs after this experience and I'm thrilled I did. Don't go. Even if a doctor is good - you'll get crappy care. read more

Awful, would not recommend. The OBGYN dept asked me to fill out the same forms multiple times, gave me the run around with another appointment referral, claimed to post information onto my portal that never wound up there (or eventually did weeks later), made a major error with insurance which has been a headache for months now, impossible to reach the office without going through multiple layers of phone services (most of the time needing to leave a message, and getting a call back wasn't the easiest thing). Most people - across all departments, especially billing/records release department- are cold, rude, and condescending. Its a patient factory, not somewhere where you'll feel you're getting personal care and attention. It is my first pregnancy and my doctor (and her nurse) made me feel rushed, at times stupid for asking questions, and was missing some of my information on my chart a few times. I gave her a few tries but after multiple errors/rushed appointments/unpleasant encounters with staff across all departments, I've left the group. read more

I called into the on-call system this morning for the medical group with an urgent medical problem. The telephone service took my urgent message and relayed it to the doctors on call. Neither Dr. Anish Sheph or Dr. Dhar, who were the on-call physicians, responded to my messages. I am at a loss for what to do. It is more than disappointing to have to resort to an Urgent Care Center to address my current needs when I have been a longstanding patient of the group. I do not recommend the Princeton Medical Group as they are clearly unresponsive in an emergency. read more

The docs and nurses are good in my experience, but reception and billing are indifferent at best, unmotivated, rude, condescending, and bullying. Billing is unresponsive, unable to admit its own mistakes, and liable to threaten to send your account to collections if you question a bill, even when their explanations are contradictory, inconsistent, incoherent, or nonsensical. Do not take reception's word that they have a specialist referral on file for you. They will happily accept your copay and let you see the doctor, then send you a bill for the theoretical "full charge," an amount for which not even the insurance company will reimburse a clinic. Nor does PMG bother to respond to complaints filed with the NJ Better Business Bureau for mediation. Notably, PMG received a federal COVID subsidy in the amount of $2.9 million under the Paycheck Protection Plan (as reported by CNN, Planet Princeton, and ProPublica among others--you can look it up), but free federal money has not improved the motivation or performance of the administrative staff. read more

I had some tests done 2 weeks ago. After waiting for weeks for someone to call, I decided to just go to the office to pick them up. The test results were not good. Of course I'm concerned. I've emailed and left several messages for Dr. Cheng, my PCP so I can discuss the test results. I have yet to receive a call back from her. There is no administrator or patient care coordinator to contact to ask for help. I will be leaving this group practice. This feels like a poorly run factory. read more

I've only gone to Princeton Medical Group once, but my experience with Dr. Ginger Hua was enough to make me not want to go back. I scheduled a same day appointment because I had had hives for days and they were worsening. Dr. Hua quickly examined my hives from across the examination room and prescribed a cream. Easy enough, but my questions (what can I use to supplement this cream if symptoms persist and how long until I experience relief) were met with irritation. I was told that this cream should quell all itching with a condescending tone and also that I would have immediate relief. She then added that I should call her back if they had not gone away in one week's time. The next morning, when the itching was still in full force and I had no relief, I left a message for Dr. Hua. Her assistant phoned me later that day to say that it's only been 12 hours, and I should allow at least 24 to see if the cream is working. It's unfortunate that this wasn't explained during my visit, and I was allowed to leave the office with seemingly unrealistic expectations of "instant relief" and "no more itching." Fast forward to one week later. My hives are nearly gone, but so is my prescription. I left a message for Dr. Hua detailing this, adding that I was about to leave for vacation, and the response I received from her assistant hours later was that I should call a dermatologist. Again, why was I not given these instructions during my visit? Why was I instead told to contact Dr. Hua? The bottom line is that I didn't feel I was the only patient in the room during my visit with Dr. Hua (even though I literally was) and her flippant attitude towards my discomfort AND MY QUESTIONS was something that I've never experienced before with a family doctor and I can only hope never will again. There could very well be amazing doctors at this facility, but I will never know. read more

The phone schedulers and staff are extremely rude. They angered by simply being asked their name. I waited in radiology place for two hours waiting for them to send a script that was written incorrectly. I asked to have the provider call me. I am still waiting. They sent the wrong out of work dates to my job and the nurse hung up on me and stated " I am sorry your upset but I and my colleagues did a great job. read more

Visited Dr Vedula for a parathyroid issue - very warm and caring doctor. She knows her stuff! It was quick and thorough - she even called me personally to discuss somethings - that is rare! The staff were always very helpful. I have no complaints only compliments! read more

The Princeton Medical Group is a complete grease fire complete with condescending and unprofessional phone reps, administrators and executive office. This outfit is run worse then any government. There are multiple layers of phone reps you have to go to for anything from an appointment, refill, records request or other. Individuals are cold and uncaring. In most cases you are left on hold for an extreme amount of time. In the event that someone answers the phone you are sent to a voicemail box where calls go EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME without being returned. This includes the CEO - Leonard Grossman - who apparently believes he is above reproach. Leonard Grossman has not returned my call . As I single father of a special needs child I am working to get a life insurance to protect my son in the event something happened to me. This effort is ongoing. Princeton Medical Group has refused to release my records despite several requests with both wet and e-signature. At one point I was finally able to reach the records department (an agonizing experience trying to accomplish this feat.) I was given a bunch of lip service accompanied with a complete lack of character and substance. The call ended with no results and not one ounce of caring from Princeton Medical Group. I am now taking formal action against this practice but I wanted to send out this warning to anyone who is considering going there. In this world there is the best and worst of every profession. There are doctors and then there are doctors. Just because a doctor or a practice have the title does not mean they are any good. Today someone somewhere will go to the worst practice in the country. Princeton Medical Group ensures it is practically impossible to speak to your doctor's office. I understand creating a buffer to the doctor, but I don't understand why my time has no value whatsoever when it comes to speaking with the doctor's staff about insurance issues and appeals. This is not to say that the staff is ineffective or insensitive, they are! - I'm just not allowed to speak with them. Instead I call and speak to an answering service. They have no idea who I am or why I'm calling for the 10th time. I explain yet again. I then have to wait for a call back from some other intermediary (billing, reception, other) and explain to them why I need to speak with the doctor's staff. They can't connect me, but say they'll leave a message. If I do then get a call back, I'd better drop everything - and I mean everything - when that phone rings, because if I miss it, the process starts again from the beginning. Terrible customer service. Extremely rude over the phone. I called my health insurance before to make sure the office was in network. They confirmed it was. I then called the office and the rep said she had never heard of my health insurance. She transferred me three times and then finally someone got back to me asking for me to fax them my health card information. I asked if I could email or text the pictures as I don't have access to a fax machine and the woman on the phone said no. And that fax was the only way. She could not find any alternative. She was very short and rude and after that conversation I would not feel comfortable going to that office. read more

As a patient of this group for 26 years I have had empathetic care from my doctors, their nurses and the office staff. The ladies who do the blood work never hurt. Joyce Glazer has been my Primary Care Physician for many years. Last year I came in "tired." She got a few samples of blood and an ambulance was called.to get me to the ER. Another time I came in with a headache and in less than an hour was in the office of a Neurologist -- a concussion. Christine, Dr. Glazer's nurse sat with me and explained that the pain in my right chest was two broken ribs --per the x-ray I had in the building a few minutes ago. This group of 38 top professions has been on the mark so many times. With an earache -- which was asymptomatic - (my ear was not red). In spite of an inoculation I had Shingles. With antiviral pills and a few Tylenol I had no down time. I have visited most of the departments and received superb care. There was one specialist I did not like -- who I have been assured is excellent. I see someone else. The are many other people who have helped me. Must not omit Thomas Blom, the Hematologist, who I first met in my hospital room at 7:30 AM. Dr. Kaufman who recently cured a fungus I thought was with me for life and Debbie Baseman my Gyn who I met in 1999 when she joined the practice. A few years ago they added electronic charts -- my blood work, medications and allergies are together. The have a detailed web site with background on the doctors. Check if they take your insurance. Many of their patients have been there "forever.." They have three offices. I prefer Princeton for convenience and that Princeton Radiology, in the same building, takes their patients immediately. read more

Over a week for a scan to be ordered, they blame my insurance company ..however my insurance company has no record of the scan to either approve or deny.
