Dr. Murray has been and intricate part of our lives for over two decades and I find myself in limbo as we are moving from NJ to Delaware. Dr Murray, just on a hunch, with my very athletic son, suggested we do an ekg. Through his wisdom he found that my son had two pacemakers in his chest (WPW Syndrome). One that worked and one that was dormant. He sent us to Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania and Dr Hutchinson who removed the dormant pacemaker. Thanks to Dr. Hutchinson he removed the dormant one and my son was allowed to continue his athletic career to become Captain of the football team in Montgomery and Captain of the football team at Rowan University. He won all the athletic awards along with the academic, but could have died if the dormant pacemaker been triggered to work and go into a loop that could have resulted in death. I owe everything to Dr. Simon Murray and Dr. Hutchinson for saving my son's life. I cannot give higher praise to these two Doctor's who went above and beyond for my son and my family. The physician began the diagnostic process with rapid strep and flu testing, but did not perform a 24‑hour strep culture -- a standard step when symptoms are severe or persistent. Since that visit, I have been battling a 104‑degree fever with no relief, and because I cannot take anything stronger than Tylenol, timely follow‑up care is not optional for me; it is essential. Yesterday, I contacted the office repeatedly to express worsening symptoms, discuss the need for retesting, and request guidance. Despite the seriousness of the situation -- including the fact that I live with an immunocompromised family member awaiting a kidney transplant -- the practice was unable to accommodate any follow‑up evaluation. Not a same‑day appointment. Repeated nurse callbacks happened with no solid plan of action. This is not acceptable patient care. When a medical practice cannot respond to urgent concerns during peak illness season, patients are left with two unacceptable choices: suffer at home without adequate support or seek emergency care for issues that should be manageable in an outpatient setting. Neither outcome reflects a functioning primary‑care system. Princeton Medical Group must take responsibility for addressing these gaps. That means proactively recruiting additional nursing staff and primary care physicians, expanding triage capacity, and ensuring that high‑risk patients are not left without guidance or access to care. Flu and RSV surges are predictable. Patient abandonment should not be. I've never felt so humiliated/angry/frustrated with a doctor. Since I have moved, I was trying to find a new primary care doctor nearby. Due to insurance issues (don't get me started on that), I need a new psychiatrist and meanwhile needed my psych meds refilled from a primary doc. My old primary doc in Philadelphia always did that with no issue. Also had a few minor health concerns I wanted to mention. I found a doc, set up an appointment for today. They said all new patients have to have a physical. I was fine with that. I had all of my medical records sent over from my primary doc in Philadelphia. I fasted from midnight as they requested in prep for the bloodwork. They took a urine sample, took 4 vials of blood (couldn't find a vein and poked me like 5 times), did an EKG, checked blood pressure. I filled out a load of paperwork. Then I waited. And waited. And waited to see the doctor. In a freezing cold room in a tiny hospital gown. About an hour later, he appears and tells me that he has a large practice and he can pick and choose patients, he doesn't have to take on new patients. He tells me he read through my "56 pages of medical records" and that I'm too "medically complicated" for him to take on as a new patient, due to my cancer history and my history of mental illness. He then goes even further by telling me he can't prescribe me any of my meds because I'm on "too many medications", and that taking me on as a patient would be too much of a legal risk for him. He said he didn't want to be held legally liable for prescribing me my meds or for taking me on as a patient. At this point, I was near tears. It felt like being rejected at a job interview! I asked him what he was going to do with my 4 vials of blood and urine sample and he said they will be discarding the samples and not running any of the lab tests. I'm ready to just go back to my doc in Philadelphia, it's worth the hour drive to me at this point. I wasted an entire morning on this appointment. Hours of my day, gone. Has anyone ever had such an experience of being rejected by a doctor for being too complicated/too much of a legal risk? I need to call tomorrow to make sure I'm not going to be billed for that useless appointment. The whole experience was so deflating.

The rudeness was worse on my second call to find out about scheduling follow up visits with CPAP agency. I think the Doctors at PMG care about their patients, yet the office staff needs lessons in customer service. What's worse is that in reading the reviews on Yelp for the past few years, the office staff customer service issues have been occurring for years. That's a management issue that seems to be ignored. She takes time to see each and every patient and answers your questions. She doesn't rush or take any calls when she's with you like some other doctors do. It is hard to find such a great and caring doctor like her anymore. The only negative is that because she's so good she has lots of clients and this makes it harder to get an earlier appointment so you have to book wayyy in advance. Other than that I would suggest seeing if she's taking any new patients and see for yourself.
