But realizing that I might miss my flight if any public transportation issues were to arise brought to mind an ad for Electric Limo that I had recently seen in the DeKalb New Values magazine (I ask my boyfriend to never throw those out - they're a great resource for keeping abreast of new businesses!). A flat rate to the airport in an all-electric vehicle may cost more than using public transportation, but finding a Yelp Deal inspired me go ahead and give the new company a shot. I called to reserve a taxi around 10pm on a Monday. But calling a small company at such a time probably wasn't a good idea: I didn't get an answer, and I was reluctant to leave a message because I wanted the piece of mind of a confirmed taxi pick-up in the morning before going to bed. I therefore gave Electric Limo's website a try, where I reserved a ride and received an email confirmation about 20 minutes later. Yay! A driver named Ryan picked me up the next morning in a timely and professional fashion in an awesome Tesla sedan. Electric Limo may not have the scale of a taxi fleet in a larger city - I'm used to calling cab companies at any time to arrange a reservation and paying at the end of the ride. But small interpersonal considerations underline how Electric Limo is a technologically forward-looking business with small town charm. Ron, the owner, contacted me to ask for my credit card number again because the one I provided online was incorrect. I feel a larger business would have cancelled my reservation right there. Ryan, my driver, also contacted me well before my scheduled pick-up time to notify me that flights might be delayed because of fog in the area. Overall, I had a great experience, and I definitely see myself using Electric Limo for taxi services in the future when I don't feel like lugging a suitcase through Metra and CTA trains en route to the airport.

Both gentlemen know their backyard. I am very impressed, they know their stuff and they don't just rely on the information you give them, they do their due diligence and researches the flight and know if it's early or delayed. That's customer service. An added service is that the driver's contact information is provided the day before pick up so that both parties can give each other updates in real time. We have multiple day, multiple time airport pick-up. Gold Coast Town Car Services exceeded my expectations. I have contacted a few companies and I am lucky if if I get a timely response. The limo was beautiful, nice lights changing colors and plenty of room for the 8 of us. Our driver Tian was wonderful. He arrived early, got us loaded and had our requested drinks ready and chilled for our party, and even confirmed with the restaurant that we were on the way, so our table would be ready. He even gave us birthday balloon's and gift bags filled with Hawaii chocolates and coffee, which was totally unexpected and made our night out even more special. The crescendo to the trip, was when we came out from dinner, and Tian had all new clean glasses, napkins and fresh ice in the limo for our drinks on the way back to the hotel. This is beyond 5 star service. They both did detailed planning and made our trip super memorable. We saw a lot more than expected, the waterfalls, black sand, magic sand, white sand beaches, green turtle beach and even the cloud forest and coffee tours, and more. Desi recommended nice restaurants and local shopping places, and his SUV cooler was always loaded with water and soft drinks. Desi is really knowledgeable, and he explained the history and importance of all the places with great detail. My family enjoyed it thoroughly. Last day, the 4th of July, we requested an airport drop, and Tian came for drop off, and we met one more wonderful soul from this team. Tian reached early near our places as due to parade the roads were blocked till 8.15pm and he ensured we get on time to airport. And this team made me almost cry when I asked for an invoice for an airport drop, James said it is a gift from them, and they never sent a bill. What a great heart, I don't have words to appreciate the humanity I saw in the entire team. We surely recommend them to everyone for safe and hassle free tours around Kona. In the follow up call (closer to date of ride), the woman who called was an *angel* when I was having a difficult day- so much aloha, so pleasant. It was too noisy where I was when the phone rang & it made it hard to recall her name. I'd love to honor her by name. I was immensely glad that I requested a change in service from the transportation company my insurance originally assigned, and am so relieved that R & L pretty much said, "sure, happy to help". One text when I was boarded on return flight, but long before take off. Perfect, with specific info where to find car at airport. Very easy to find car upon pick up in the very late afternoon/early evening. Vehicle was ideal for taxi & tours, pristine in every way, very spacious and so clean. No odors of any type. Normally I'd have loved to be left alone to rest in quiet (yet he was the one to first bring up the option, and encouraged me to do so if I wished, and it was *enormously* appreciated). But once I was in the vehicle a few minutes, I felt better than I had, and then congenial conversation was shared. I'm not a chat person. Conversation with Charles was easier than it is with a lot of people, for me. Not forced, didn't feel phony or performative- just relaxed and friendly, appropriate. It was the best part of a long day for me (except for the time with my family member who helped with my drop off early morning and for the short visit I was lucky to have with a sibling later that morning in Honolulu). Within a very short window, I secured assistance from local law enforcement and immediately reached out to cancel the requested transit. My concierge initially informed me there would only be a small cancellation fee, which I accepted. However, moments later, I was told R and L intended to charge my card the full amount of over $700.I immediately called R and L directly to explicitly state that they did not have my authorization to charge the full amount. It was only during this call that I was informed of a 24-hour cancellation policy--a policy that was never disclosed to me prior to or during the booking process.Despite my clear, immediate verbal refusal of authorization, R and L went ahead and processed a charge of $760 to my credit card five days later. While I successfully disputed the charge with my bank and recovered the funds, the company's decision to charge my card without prior disclosure of terms or explicit authorization is completely unacceptable. Proceed with extreme caution when dealing with their billing department.

We reserved them originally as transportation to the Hilo airport for a helicopter ride but our ride turned into a tour of the island including coffee tasting, black sand beach and a traditional Hawaiian village with a perfect sandwich stop too. He also made stops at Starbucks and Target for us. Our driver Igor was very knowledgeable about the island not only did he hold the interest of the adults he also was entertaining our 4 teenagers.
