These guys are amazing! Located in the CVS & Walgreens plaza on Foothill & Towne, right next to the old Staples. Needed to get my 36x48 professional poster printed so my friend recommended this place because of the quick turn around time (usually same day) and high quality works. The guy got my cc info over the phone and I emailed my pdf over. He called me back a couple hours later because he hadn't received my file, and that's when I realized that I emailed it to the wrong email address! So I quickly sent my pdf to the right email address (printingworks@verizon.net) and got a call a few hours later saying that my poster was ready! They also returned the paper that had my cc info on it. However, I found some typos on the poster the afternoon before my presentation! And thankfully, they were able to print another one by the end of the day for me to pick up the next morning! Price is reasonable - $65+tax (came out to be $70) for 36x48 high quality poster, I know you can get it for cheaper at Office Depot but their paper is not as nice and the turn around time is usually at least 2 days Awesome service & awesome work, would recommend anyone getting their posters printed here! Went here today to print out a poster, stickers, and some items that needed to be printed on card stock, all in color. The service was great and the quality is superb! I usually print my projects at FedEx Kinko's or Staples and have recently grown tiered of poor service and mediocre prints. Something in my gut told me to give this place a try. I'm glad I listen to myself, because this place is hands down better in price, quality, and customer service!! Ali is very personable and helped me with all of my needs, he even suggested I use their cutter, which ended up saving me time and my hands from soreness from excessive scissor cutting. He numbered blank sheets and we tried to figure out how to get InDesign to export it correctly. He printed several test runs and didn't charge me. I have been here many times as they do a lot of printing for my church (special events, class workbooks, workshop flyers, you name it - they have taken care of it for us.) T hey are wonderful. Took me a little while to find them on yelp because I only knew them as "Ali the Printer" and the how to drive to their location. We always had good luck with Printing Works (And Ali and his staff). Sometimes they get super busy so try to give them some advance notice. Lots of folks walk in the door with "I needed it now" requests, and they will do their best to make that happen too, but it is best if you can drop off what you need, get an estimate on how long it will take (depends on how many other people need them at the same time). Best printer in Claremont. Has all the latest equipment to make you project look sharp! Yes you "could" go to staples or something - but Ali and Printing Works is better, and you will be not only happy with your project, but proud of it. Go see Ali if you want the best. read more

I love supporting local businesses. My office is in Newport Beach but I need some materials printed...last minute, of course. Called a few places and they could not turn around the documents in timeframe that I needed them. Called Printworks and they said no problem to get them done same day. Popped my document on a flash drive, dropped it off and a few hours later, voila! Super friendly service and the print job was half the price that I was quoted from Staples! Is there a minus rating? Grieving the loss of my dear mother, I needed to print her memorial service booklets. I was unhappy with the outcome, stapled pages were not aligned, ink had bled to varying degrees on more than half the printed order. I returned the order respectfully with the hope of it being fixed/reprinted instead the owner yelled and berated me for inconveniencing him with what he thought were trivial concerns while I said nothing so the situation could deescalate, nope, he continued to yell at me. No desire to correct the two concerns, sloppy work, and disrespectful treatment to a customer (who is grieving) and is trying to create the last honorable keepsake is beyond my comprehension. This experience was unacceptable and not deserving. The best course of action is to not be a customer. To all owners who feel this treatment is acceptable, customers make or break a business, think twice before you treat customers disrespectfully. My order was refunded. I'm better off taking my business to a pro-printer interested in customer service, better printing equipment and printing knowledge. Customer beware! read more

It's finals week and I was in desperate need of making a mini notebook to carry around as reference during my exams. With only 2 hours left before most printing stores closed, my boyfriend and I were able to find a fairly-priced independent copy/printing place to make our notes. We brought in a PDF file of what we wanted printed -- 35 pages worth of notes, need 2 copies of each, and have it bind into a notebook. This was, by far, the cheapest printing place in the area. A lot of my other friends from school who did the same thing at other places spent at least $12 on making on copy. I only spent $10 for TWO copies of the notebook. My only gripe was the service... The person who was helping me seemed like he was in a rush, which resulted in poor quality (I will go more into detail about that later). So when we brought in our file, he told us that someone came in earlier during the day to have him print the exact same thing. We thought, "that's great, he must know what to do then." So after printing our notes, he cut the pages and trimmed it to size for us. He brought the notes over and let us just take a quick glance. Had I not said anything, he would have just messed up on the ordering of our pages. I asked him if I can take a look of the pages before he bind them. He gave me this, "Are you doubting me" kinda look, and started quickly flipping through the pages. He even made it seem like I was dumb for doubting him. LUCKILY, I was able to catch the misorder of the pages through the quick flipping. I brought that up to his attention and he still did not accept that he made a mistake until I pulled out the wrong page in the wrong order. He failed to apologize and just had me re-order the pages (the pages were numbered). After properly ordering our pages, we gave it back to him and he bound the books for us. Mistake #2, he failed to ask us HOW we wanted it bound. We wanted the notes to be bound on the side so it can be like a booklet. He bound it from the top without even asking us what we wanted. When we told him we did not want it bound on the top, he goes, "why? Isn't this way better and faster to flip through? This was what I did for the other guy. Well, I already started on this one." Not only did he apologize, but he pretty much said that he will not redo it for us without having us pay him again. We just accepted it and had him make the second copy as a book instead. Later when we went home, one of the pages from one of the books started falling off. He did not do a careful job of punching the holes on the side. The holes were so close to the edge that the a couple of the pages were falling off. The prices are definitely unbeatable. The service, however, was really poor. If you have someone named Ali helping you, make sure to DOUBLE CHECK his work, and TELL HIM what you want or else he will just ASSUMES that he knows what to do, and will not accept that he was wrong. Will I come back? I will definitely look into other places before coming here again.. Or, I will just try my best to avoid Ali and have someone else help me... read more

I am a student at one of the Claremont Colleges and I came here to print my thesis. I got 4 copies printed and bound in about 30 minutes. I got 3 spiral ones and one hardcover and it came to about $40 total ($15 of which was because of the hardcover one), with the copy costs counted in. I think that this was incredibly fair and it looked great. He was a really nice guy and I got to see him do each step, which was kind of cool. All you have to do is bring in your flashdrive and he'll do the rest! (Also, because it's difficult to see from the street, know that it is in the same strip as Staples and CVS.) read more

Thank goodness for Yelp! I needed to have three copies of my thesis bound. The duplicating services at my school was charging .10 a page and asking for a 24 hour advance. Time and money: two things I don't have! ... Printing Works to the Rescue! I drove here around 9 am and had my three copies half an hour later for a more affordable price. I deducted 1 star because the hardcover binding was not the best I've ever seen, but it got the job done! read more
