I must begin with the positive.: I needed a hospital bed soon after my wife was released from…read morere-hab. The delivery was swift and done professionally. I must admit they were a little expensive, but worth it at the time. I did notice a problem with the mattress after observing it 3 weeks later when we going to clean the cover and just prior to renting the bed for an additional month. At that time the caregiver noticed some staining on the mattress itself. At first I thought it was caused by us; however the caregiver informed me that stains were noticed on the mattress. When I called their office, inquiring about staining, I was immediately met with resistance, and they said I would have to buy another for $150. I never authorized a payment to them or ordered another mattress. They took upon themselves to bill me unknowingly for a new mattress. When the charge hit our credit card, I called and asked twice if the mattress we first received was new? I was then told after some arm twisting that it may not have been a new mattress, but they are inspected and have photos. I asked them for photos and proof that it was in the condition that they claim. FYI Their mattress comes with a dark protective cover on it/ zipped up and installed on the bed upon delivery. There was no way for me to tell what condition it was in when it was delivered because of that black cover. I assumed I had been given a new mattress. The situation has not been resolved yet, but I am hoping for some closure soon. So do your homework and research if you're going to rent a hospital bed for more than 1 month from anyone. Also do the math: $300 per month to rent! If you buy the same hospital bed from Am***n, it would cost $800 with a new mattress. I could possibly be in the wrong here, but we'll see how they professionally handle all this. If anything, I'm giving all that read this review the " What to look for!" if you ever have the need to order a hospital bed from anyone!
