I stopped in to see if this establishment had a special tool to remove a stripped oil plug on my SUV and they did. Not only that but they could do the oil change right away. Wayne took all my info and said they should have it done in about 30 min. I returned and the car was just about ready. Patrick pulled it up to the office door...I paid the bill which was $5 less than a quote from a local shop which included the labor to remove the stripped bolt that the other place couldn't do. They bullied my wife into overpaying. At appointment sales rep pressured my wife into selecting oil while she was struggling to pull up her Groupon. She said she believed it to be full synthetic so they got to work. When she was able to pull up she stated it was standard oil but they were already working on it. The sales rep solution was to redeem two standard oil changed ($60 purchase price) plus $25 cash to pay for an oil change that Groupon sells for $50. This company showed very poor integrity to my wife and took advantage of a vulnerable woman in an uncomfortable situation. We will not be going back. read more

They use to tell me what my car needed during my oil changes and I even came back a few times for them to take care of it. I paid cash as they prefer. Over time they stopped giving advise for my car care and got really short with me. Probably for the best, now that I went somewhere else to get my car worked on, they said the last person who worked on my car stripped all my brake screws, costing over 80$ in replacement pieces. Prior auto care actually did my brakes twice before switching. I finally switched garages since I dont feel valued as a customer when I called to schedule an oil change and they quoted me over a week out. But my partner called the same day and offered multiple appointments for everyday in-between. read more

Had an air conditioner replaced about 3 years ago and I have been sweating ever since. Was told that the compressor failed and he would speak to the parts rep. Later told me the parts rep approved the new part ( his part failed). Every time i asked about an appointment, I got the major league runaround. The last conversation I had with him, I was told he would call me. I am still waiting. Paid 800 dollars and recieved one month of cool air. I recently moved here from another city in WA. I was looking for a new mechanic and read positive reviews about this place. I thought I'd bring my car in to have a diagnostic done. My check engine light keeps coming on and no one has been able to fix it. But first I checked to see if they offered a groupon for an oil change. I've noticed shops offer groupons but aren't always happy when you actually use them. They had one. So I bought it. I was using it as a way to see how I was going to get treated if I wanted them to be mechanic for the future. Sadly, the diagnostic that I wanted and was prepared to pay for wasn't done. The person that completed my oil change said it wasn't an evap problem, but didn't check to see what was the issue. Told me to come back if the light comes back on. Well, like I said, it will. This has been an ongoing issue that I hoped to get fixed. He was stern, snappy, and dismissive with me. Mentioned the groupon again, so I figure he wasn't happy I actually used it. Looks like I will be looking elsewhere for my future mechanic. Such a disappointment. read more

With so many places to have your oil changed I saw a Groupon for this place and thought I'd give it a try. We have 3 vehicles so it's nice to save when we can.... I called to make an appointment which they had an opening today! Woohoo! Until I said I would be using a Groupon and the tone completely changed and I'm now told "we are done with Groupon today and don't have anything open until Thursday" He then snapped do you want the appointment?? With that I opted not because if I'm going to pay the full price I will go somewhere I'm not talked to in that manner and my business is actually appreciated and not scolded because of a coupon YOUR BUSINESS CHOSE TO OFFER!!!! Don't offer a coupon and then treat people like crap who want to use it. I was able to get my oil changed right away, ALL my fluids checked and treated kindly just up the street. read more

Best. Place. Ever. We have used them several times for issues dealing from cracked radiators to bad ignitions. They have never been anything but polite, professional and overall outstanding! The people here are nice and its a decent price but i can't really give them a good review because i brought my car (its a 30 y/o car i just bought used) in for a diagnostic, but they didn't notice the GIANT RATS NEST under the air filter ‍ my car still didn't seem to be preforming well, and was still overheating after i had them work on it, and my grandpa was like 'i'm curious, can you let me look at the air filter?' I let him, and when we took it out there was a giant rats or mouse nest under the air filter that was completely blocking it. My car is now not overheating since we removed the rats nest, but honestly it seems like something that should have been easy for the mechanic to find. I'm still shaking my head at that ‍ read more

I had a lot of things left "undone" when I visited Prior's. I asked them to check the lights and bulbs. I end up leaving the business after (unbeknownst to me) with no running lights, driving in the dark on the freeway and get a hefty ticket for my trouble. Also no ABS, cruise control, and no lights when using key-fob and the list continues. They fowled up my electrical system! And I paid for this? Now I will need to pay someone else to fix these issues? When I took it back they looked it over and told me everything was fine. It's not. In past visits I have had them leave the hood unlatched, only to notice on the freeway. Luckily it didn't fly up on the freeway! I have been overcharged almost $100 by accident. I dont think Prior's is a malicious business, I think they are just in too much of a hurry or don't have the knowledge set to do a good job or both. In any case I would not recommend taking your car to Prior's! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First, I had them change my oil and 3 months later when my dad popped the hood to show me something, we noticed the air filter cover was so loose it could have fallen off. So I've been driving sucking dirt into my engine for months. So I took it back to them and they said they would "take care of it". Presumably they changed my oil, but two days later my oil engine lights comes on. So I drive it to the nearest station (in Cheney) and they check it. The oil stick is bone dry. We put in 3 quarts and I take off; the mechanic says he doesn't know where the leak is so we figure (at first) that they didn't but any oil back in when they changed it. A 150 miles later, my oil light comes on again. So I check it myself, bone dry again! So I call a towing company and await the results Monday when the dealership (Dishman Dodge) tells me how ruined my car is. . They were so rude and unhelpful but more if concern is how they can manage to do such shoddy work. The guy even had the nerve to point to his embroidered mechanic certification... Which clearly in this case, means absolutely nothing other than to stay away!! read more

This was the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Located off the Argonne exit and attached to the gas station, the shop lobby was immaculent and the service exceptional. Corey, the owner, greeted me immediately and listened to my concerns patiently. He then took my keys and pulled the car in right away - no big delay with filling out unnecessary paperwork or dealing with the slimey feeling you get at most car places. While I waited, his lobby was stocked with Seattle's best coffee, a flat screen tv (on TLC - not NASCAR) and magazines that appeal to women. Cooking, Fitness and Allure were available along side the typical Golf and 4x4 options (shocking!). My car needed a new fuel pump and he explained the cost and I agreed to have it repaired. It was fixed in no time and has been running like a champ ever since. Ladies - this is a very woman friendly business that makes this oil change/car repair chore seem like a vacation. Got a groupon, the first oil change was fine. The card they gave me said to call for appointment which I did but couldn't get anyone to answer. I left a couple of messages but never got a call back. Just went there and am now killing time for an hour waiting to get my car in. The guy at the counter asked if I had an appointment, cute. If you value your time skip Priors. UPDATE: Got a message from the owner to attempt to remedy the situation. I do appreciate that so I added a star. Hopefully they will look at how they do their voicemails and scheduling. read more

I must say Prior's is a great place to take your car to! I've used Prior's several times, should have rated them sooner. First time, my car wouldn't start and it was a Mazda 6 2013. I was surprised I had that issue with my car but they fixed it no problem and had my car back the next day. I had a bad tow job go wrong that caused a horrible clunking sound and burning smell, they fixed that same day! I've had several oil changes and they always work me in, get the job done and the turn around time is amazing. Always friendly and efficient. Thanks guys for doing such a great job! Most recently, we have a pop up camper that needed the entry way reinforced. I called several RV dealers and it was very expensive. This was my first experience at Priors. I was referred by my friend Chellie Slovak. It was absolutely the BEST experience at a mechanics shop I have ever had! Corey, the owner, and Wayne, one of the mechanics, are fantastic! I had a leak in my power steering pump and it was causing my car to make a whining noise. They said a new pump would be $566.00, or they could use a sealant, that works 9 out of 10 times, and that would be $43.00. I, of course, went with the sealant! I really appreciate how honest this company is, and that they offered me the lesser cost option....who does that anymore? Most shops would have said, you need a new pump and that would be the end of it. Also, on a side note, I had me friend go there because Lloyds was trying to sell her a Catalytic converter...long story short, Priors said if it was their car, they wouldn't get one if there wasn't any power issues, or troubles starting the car. They did say, if she wanted to replace it, it would have been $2000.00 less than Lloyds. Just WOW!!! Last thing...when I hopped into my car, there was a cold bottle of water with a 10% off coupon! I'm also a groupon user- I try to cut places a LOT of slack when they offer a groupon because I know they usually end up losing money on the deals (but they did offer it, so I'll use it). First oil change they were not quite rude but not friendly either. Very brusque and short in answers. MIGHT BE COINCIDENCE because I have a 2000 car, but the VERY NEXT DAY my check engine light started coming on. Called the shop to ask about it and they said it wasn't anything they'd done. I brushed it off as odd timing. Was leery about going in for the second oil change but scheduled the appointment. Again the guys weren't outright rude, but they were VERY short and didn't want to answer any questions. I mentioned that the check engine light was still coming off and on and asked if they could run the code on it and give me an estimate for repairs. The whole oil change including running the code took less than 15 minutes- when they say "oil change" that's ALL they do, don't expect any thing like fluid checks, air filter checks, anything you would get anywhere else. After the first oil change when the check engine light came on I checked my air filters and fluids to see if there was anything basic I could fix- took off the air filter cover and it was PACKED full of leaves and dirt- TOTALLY NOT THEIR FAULT, must have come from the dealer that way (thanks C.A.L. for that) but if they had even checked the air filter there was no way they could have missed it. The groupon is (apparently) a bare bones service. After the second oil change (the very next morning) my heater has stopped working- I'm not interested in calling the shop to even ask if they bumped something when checking the codes or noticed anything because I know they'll claim no fault but GLADLY offer me another quote for repairs. One weird timing repair I could brush off, the second makes me think they're just another typical repair shop trying to create job security. Between the attitudes, bare bones service, and questionable repairs I'm not interested in going back to this shop EVER. read more

Where do I start... I saw a Groupon for an oil change and when I went in, they were rude and slow to serve. It was as if they were doing me a favor since I had gotten a steep discount. All in all, let me put it this way. The Groupon was good for two oil changes, but I am throwing mine away and not returning for another. In one of my cars the oil exploded from beneath the hood and spread everywhere. This occurred immediately after a repair that they had done on the car in addition to the oil change - a repair that I did not ask for but was recommended. After having had this car checked out at other mechanics, my conclusion is that they did not even close the oil cap and therefore the oil came out and the car died. We asked them to clean the engine but it looked like they wiped it down with a Kleenex. The oil was not refilled, which could have potentially completely ruined my car. There were other issues that they did not see or find. The list goes on and on. This place is pretty much a Jiffy Lube with a different name. They push sales on you and don't even know how to do an oil change quite right. Trust your car with them if you'd like but like I said I have another oil change paid for each of my cars but I'm going elsewhere. read more

I had an AMAZING experience. The guy at the front desk (Tony) was so personable and talked to us as long as we were interested lol. I showed up half an hour late to my appointment and not only did they get me in but they also didn't make me feel bad about being late and I was out of there very quickly. It was the fastest oil change I have ever had. Ever. And when I got back in my car I noticed they had cleaned my windows (inside would have been very appreciated, I have kids, but definitely not expected) and they had left a cold Dasani in my cup holder! And attached to that? A 10% coupon! It was such a pleasant surprise both my husband and I couldn't stop talking about how we were definitely going back. Terrible Bought Groupon. I assume they offer Groupon's as a way to attract a new customer base. When I called to schedule my two oil changes I was told they had to be on the same vehicle. I explained that the Groupon did not have that language in the fine print. The owner explained that he did not really care, and that Groupon had made a mistake and I would need to take it up with them. I called and got my refund from Groupon. If they handle a simple thing like using a Groupon with such a clear lack of professionalism, imagine how they must handle more complex automotive service and repair, where you can't just call and get your money back. Our alternator went out 250 miles from home as we were driving through Spokane. We coasted in to a gas station right off the freeway on Argonne, left the car, and found a place for the night (it was after 8:00 pm on a Friday). As I did a little research to find a place that could fix my car on Saturday, I noticed Prior's was in the same parking lot, and it was open. I got there as soon as they opened, they jumped my car and got it in, and within two hours they called to tell me that my vehicle was done. Their prices were very reasonable and the service was so great that I have been thinking about driving the 250 miles for any future repairs. read more

I took my car in to have them confirm what we hashed out what was going on with my headlights (I have HIDs and I was having issues with getting it to turn on. Once it was on, I had no issues with it, it was just as intense as it was on the other side.). I was told it was an ballast issue and they recommended to replace the whole headlight unit for a quote. I proceeded to schedule an appointment the Saturday after that Saturday (so the following weekend) to get that repaired. I thought a week and half would've been plenty of time where they could order the part in and have it ready to install by the appointment. When that Saturday rolled around, I brought in my car to be told that they called Lexus to confirm it was a bulb issue, which is not what we decided upon the original appointment scheduling. I brought my car there for a second opinion, which I feel like I did not receive. After the mechanic looked at my headlights, they once again confirmed it was a ballast issue and that they would give their parts guy a call and then follow up with me within the hour. About three hours later, no phone call, I followed up on their call that I was supposed to get and long story short, they said that one of their workers shouldn't given me the original quote I got due to a special work-study situation and the gentleman that I was speaking to on the phone hung up on me mid-sentence when I was expressing my concern about getting my car into their shop to have them do the repairs. While I understand that mechanics need to go through a troubleshooting process to determine the solution of an issue, I would NOT recommend this shop to anybody due to the disorganization and the wishy-washiness/indirect plan of action to repair a simple headlight issue. I was disappointed because I read great reviews and saw this shop was approved by AAA online, I was expecting better service than what I received. read more
